Background
A liquefied gas carrier is a special vessel for transporting low-temperature liquid cargo such as liquefied petroleum gas or liquefied natural gas, which is loaded in a cargo tank of the liquefied gas carrier, and an insulation layer is attached to an outer surface of the cargo tank because the temperature of the liquid cargo is low. The primary purpose of the tank insulation is to prevent external heat from entering the interior of the tank and thereby reduce the amount of evaporation of the cargo.
For an independent cargo tank, a plurality of butt welds are arranged on the outer plate of the independent cargo tank, and the traditional insulation layer installation process is to directly lay an insulation layer on the outer plate of the cargo tank and the outer surface of the butt welds. Preferably, the protective cover 3 and the insulating layer 5 are made of polyurethane materials, and the polyurethane material density of the protective cover 3 is greater than that of the insulating layer 5, so that the influence of the concave part 31 on the heat preservation performance can be reduced, and a better heat preservation effect can be achieved.
