IAB base station access method
Technical Field
The invention relates to the technical field of 5G NR (New Radio) wireless communication, in particular to an Access method of an Integrated Access and Backhaul (IAB) base station.
Background
Compared with LTE, the 5G NR technology can use a larger bandwidth, for example, a millimeter wave frequency band can be used, and a large-scale antenna and multi-beam system can be applied, so that 5G can provide a higher system rate, and conditions are provided for development of 5G NR and application of an IAB base station. The IAB base station is the base station that integrates a wireless Access link (Access) and a wireless Backhaul link (Backhaul), wherein the Access link is a communication link between the UE and the IAB base station, and the wireless Backhaul link is a communication link between the IAB base stations for data Backhaul, so that the IAB base station does not need a wired transmission network for data Backhaul. Based on the method, the IAB base station is easier to be deployed in a dense scene, and the burden of deploying a wired transmission network is reduced.
As shown in fig. 1, the IAB base station provides wireless access and wireless backhaul of access service for the UE. The IAB donor base station (IAB home base station) provides a wireless backhaul function for the IAB base station and provides an interface between the UE and the core network. As can be seen from fig. 1, the IAB donor base station is connected to the core network by wire, the IAB base station is not connected to the core network by wire, and the IAB base station is connected to the IAB donor base station by a wireless backhaul link, so that the UE served by the IAB base station is connected to the core network.
For a Relay base station (Relay) of LTE, when the Relay is started, the Relay is accessed to an LTE Network as a normal UE and attached to a corresponding core Network, and then configuration information of a DeNB base station (home base station) is obtained from an OAM (Operation and Maintenance) server of the core Network, where the configuration information includes a DeNB identifier list, and frequency and PLMN (Public Land Mobile Network) information. Since the DeNB deployed in the network remains substantially unchanged, the configuration information about the DeNB in the OAM server is static and does not need to be dynamically updated. And after the Relay base station acquires the configuration information of the DeNB base station from the OAM server, the accessed network is detached, then the cell selection is carried out again, a certain DeNB in a DeNB list in the DeNB configuration information is selected for access, the Relay base station is used as the Relay for accessing the LTE network, and the Relay function is realized.
For a 5G IAB base station, different from an LTE relay base station, there is a multi-hop situation in a 5G IAB base station scenario, that is, one IAB base station is not connected to an IAB donor base station but connected to another IAB base station. Therefore, there is a scenario where, when an IAB base station is started, it is located in an area that is not covered by an IAB donor base station, but is under the coverage of another IAB base station. For such a scenario, if the method that the IAB base station is started and only acquires the IAB donor base station list and then selects the IAB donor base station for access is still applied, it is obvious that the IAB base station cannot be accessed to any IAB donor base station after being started.
The above process is described as a scenario shown in fig. 2. If the same scheme as the LTE relay is adopted, when the IAB base station 1 is started, the IAB base station 1 is used as UE to access the gNB according to the principle of cell selection, and then configuration information of the IAB base station, including an Identity (ID) list of the IAB knor base stations, is acquired from the QAM server of the core network, that is, the base station IDs of the IAB knor base station 1 and the IAB knor base station 2. The IAB base station 1 confirms that the currently accessed base station (gNB) is not in the IAB donor base station ID list, so that the currently accessed network is removed, and the IAB donor base station 2 is accessed again, and the access network realizes the function of the IAB base station. When the IAB base station 2 is started, the IAB base station 2 is accessed to the IAB base station 1 as the UE according to the principle of cell selection, and then an IAB donor base station list including the IAB donor base station 1 and the IAB donor base station 2 is acquired from the core network. The IAB base station 2 confirms that the currently accessed IAB base station 1 is not in the IAB donor base station list, so the IAB base station 2 is detached, but at this time, the IAB base station 2 is not in the coverage range of any base station in the IAB donor base station list, that is, the IAB base station 2 cannot be accessed to the IAB donor base station, so that the IAB base station 2 cannot be accessed to the network to realize the function of the IAB base station. Therefore, the above problem needs to be solved to ensure that the IAB base station can access the 5G network to implement the function of the IAB base station.

And when the IAB base station needs to reselect other IAB base stations in the configuration information of the IAB base station for network access, preferentially accessing the IAB donor base station according to the IAB donor indication information in the configuration information of the IAB base station.

Detailed Description
In order to make the objects, technical solutions and advantages of the present invention more apparent, the present invention is described in further detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings and embodiments. It should be understood that the specific embodiments described herein are merely illustrative of the invention and are not intended to limit the invention.
Referring to fig. 3, the present invention provides a method for an IAB base station to access a network according to dynamic IAB base station configuration information of a core network OAM server, including that the core network OAM server initializes the IAB base station configuration information, when the IAB base station accesses the network according to the IAB base station configuration information acquired from the core network OAM server, the OAM server adds information reported by the corresponding IAB base station into the IAB base station configuration information; and when the IAB base station accessed to the network is offline, the core network OAM server deletes the corresponding configuration information of the IAB base station, so that the core network OAM server dynamically updates the configuration information of the IAB base station.
The implementation of the embodiment includes the following processes:
the initialization process is implemented as follows:
after the IAB donor base stations are deployed, the core Network OAM server completes initialization configuration of configuration information of the IAB base stations, where the initialization configuration information of the IAB base stations includes an ID (identification) of each IAB base station, a supported frequency, a PLMN (Public Land Mobile Network), and an IAB donor indication, where the IAB donor indication information indicates whether the IAB base station is an IAB donor not. When performing initial configuration, the IAB base station configuration information generally includes only the information of the IAB donor base station, and the configuration information may be updated subsequently.
The access process of the IAB base station is realized as follows:
when an IAB base station is started and then used as a common UE access network, acquiring the configuration information of the IAB base station from a core network OAM server; based on the IAB base station configuration information, the IAB base station determines whether the currently accessed base station ID is in the IAB base station configuration information;
and if the ID of the currently accessed base station is in the configuration information, the IAB base station completes network access.
If the ID of the currently accessed base station is not in the configuration information, the IAB base station attaches the currently accessed network, and reselects other IAB base stations in the configuration information for network access.
When the IAB base station needs to reselect another IAB base station in the configuration information for network access, the IAB base station can be preferentially accessed to the IAB donor base station according to the IAB donor indication information in the IAB base station configuration information.
The OAM server of the core network dynamically updates the configuration information of the IAB base station, and the method is realized as follows:
after a certain IAB base station is successfully accessed to the network, the core network OAM server stores corresponding IAB base station information reported by the IAB base station in the network access process, wherein the corresponding IAB base station information comprises a base station ID, a supported frequency, PLMN (public land Mobile network) and IAB donor indication information, the IAB base station information is added into the IAB base station configuration information, and the core network OAM server finishes updating the IAB base station configuration information.
When the IAB base station which has accessed the network is closed or the IAB base station is offline due to other reasons, the core network OAM server deletes the stored corresponding IAB base station configuration information, and the core network OAM server completes the updating of the IAB base station configuration information.
And after the core network OAM server finishes updating the configuration information of the IAB base stations, if any IAB base station access network acquires the configuration information of the IAB base stations from the core network OAM service, the core network OAM server sends the updated configuration information of the IAB base stations.
In specific implementation, a person skilled in the art can implement automatic operation of the above scheme by using a software mode.
