Description
Technical Field
The invention relates to a polystyrene composite material and a preparation method thereof, in particular to an environment-friendly flame-retardant polystyrene composite material and a preparation method thereof.
Background
In the modern society, the requirement for the fire-proof safety of materials is higher and higher. Because the common flame retardants such as decabromodiphenyl ether generate a large amount of black smoke when being combusted, and even generate dioxin which is a strong carcinogen and cause great harm to human bodies, laws and regulations are generally issued in various countries to limit the use of certain flame retardants. In the field of household appliances and the like, there is a risk of short-circuit ignition due to contact with electricity, and thus flame retardancy is required for the material.
The fire retardant used by the common environment-friendly flame-retardant PS system has the defects of easy decomposition and easy yellowing, and the use of the fire retardant in light-colored products is limited. Meanwhile, the addition of the flame retardant causes the reduction of partial physical properties, particularly notch impact strength, and the toughening treatment is required.
Disclosure of Invention
Based on the above, the invention aims to overcome the defects of the prior art and provide an environment-friendly flame-retardant polystyrene composite material.
In order to achieve the purpose, the technical scheme adopted by the invention is as follows: an environment-friendly flame-retardant polystyrene composite material comprises the following components in parts by weight: 60-96 parts of PS resin, 0.1-20 parts of flame retardant and 0.1-20 parts of flame retardant synergist; wherein the flame retardant is at least one of decabromodiphenylethane, brominated epoxy resin, brominated triazine, ethylenebistetrabromophthalimide, tetrabromobisphenol A and octabromoether; the flame-retardant synergist is at least one of antimony trioxide and talcum powder.
In the environment-friendly flame-retardant polystyrene composite material, the flame retardant and the flame-retardant synergist jointly play a role in bromine-antimony gas phase synergy, when a workpiece is burnt, the bromine-antimony flame retardant is decomposed before plastic to generate inert gas which is attached to the surface of the workpiece to insulate heat and oxygen, so that the burning is inhibited; and further the composite material has better flame retardant property.
In addition, the flame retardant performance is improved due to the increase of the content of the flame retardant, and when the content of the flame retardant is lower, the amount of inert gas generated during combustion is less, so that the contact between resin and oxygen cannot be completely blocked, and the combustion cannot be completely inhibited; the addition of the flame retardant needs to reach a certain content, and the contact between the resin and oxygen can be completely isolated when the generated inert gas reaches a saturated or supersaturated state, so that the combustion is inhibited.
Preferably, the flame retardant is ethylenebistetrabromophthalimide; the flame-retardant synergist is antimony trioxide.
The flame retardant and the flame retardant synergist act together, so that the gas-phase synergistic effect of the bromine and the antimony can be better exerted, and a better flame retardant effect is achieved.
Preferably, the weight part of the flame retardant is 5-20 parts, and the weight part of the flame retardant synergist is 0.1-20 parts.
Preferably, the environment-friendly flame-retardant polystyrene composite material further comprises 0-20 parts by weight of a toughening agent, wherein the toughening agent is SBS. The toughening agent has good compatibility with PS and high toughening efficiency.
Preferably, the environment-friendly flame-retardant polystyrene composite material further comprises 0-20 parts by weight of a compatilizer, wherein the compatilizer is a styrene-maleic anhydride copolymer.
More preferably, the compatibilizer is 0 to 5 parts by weight.
Preferably, the PS resin is at least one of HIPS resin, GPPS resin and EPS resin.
Preferably, the environment-friendly flame-retardant polystyrene composite material further comprises 0.1-2 parts by weight of an auxiliary agent, wherein the auxiliary agent is at least one of an antioxidant, an anti-dripping agent, a lubricant and a light stabilizer.
Meanwhile, the invention also provides a preparation method of the environment-friendly flame-retardant polystyrene composite material, which comprises the following steps:
the components are uniformly mixed to obtain a premix, and the premix is subjected to melt mixing and extrusion granulation to obtain the environment-friendly flame-retardant polystyrene composite material.
Compared with the prior art, the invention has the beneficial effects that:
in the environment-friendly flame-retardant polystyrene composite material, the composite material has better flame retardance through the synergistic effect of the flame retardant and the flame-retardant synergist; meanwhile, due to the used flame retardant, imine free radicals are generated during combustion, and the flame retardant has oxidability and can inhibit the material from yellowing; and a compatilizer and a toughening agent are added, so that the composite material has better toughness.
The common environment-friendly bromine flame retardant is decomposed in preference to resin during combustion to generate a large amount of inert gas to cover the surface of the resin and isolate oxygen, so that combustion is inhibited, and most of the environment-friendly bromine flame retardants are easy to oxidize and turn yellow. Most of free radicals generated by the combustion chain reaction of the flame retardant are antimony bromide free radicals and bromine hydrocarbon free radicals, and the addition of ethylene bistetrabromophthalimide can generate imine free radicals, has oxidability, captures free radicals during combustion and prevents oxidation and yellowing.

Meanwhile, comparing the example 1 with the comparative examples 1-2, the comparative example 1 only contains the flame retardant and does not contain the synergistic flame retardant, and the comparative example 2 only contains the synergistic flame retardant and does not contain the flame retardant; the flame retardant effects of the comparative examples 1-2 are all inferior to the flame retardant effect of the example 1, which shows that the flame retardant and the synergistic flame retardant in the polystyrene composite material provided by the invention act together to endow the composite material with a better flame retardant effect.
Comparing the example 1 with the examples 9-10, the addition of GPPS and EPS can cause a certain reduction in the impact performance of the composite material; but will result in an increase in the flexural strength and flexural modulus of the composite material. At the same time, will
The same applies to the overall comparison of examples 2, 3 and 6 with examples 1, 4 and 5, and the comparison of example 5 with example 6. But the composite material can be endowed with better comprehensive performance by adding the toughening agent, the compatilizer and the like; therefore, in the formula of the environment-friendly flame-retardant polypropylene composite material, the components act together, and the composite material with uniform impact strength, mechanical property and flame retardant property and application value can be obtained only by selecting proper addition amount.
