本申请提供一种验证消息合法性的方法和服务器，该方法包括：终端设备确定接收到的消息对应的摘要信息；所述终端设备生成验证信息，所述验证信息中包括所述摘要信息和标识信息，所述标识信息用于标识所述终端设备；所述终端设备向第一服务器发送所述验证信息，所述第一服务器为所述终端设备确定的发送所述消息的服务器；所述终端设备接收所述第一服务器发送的根据所述验证信息确定的验证结果，所述验证结果用于指示所述消息是否合法。能够避免用户被非法消息蒙蔽，提升用户的体验。
