技术领域
本发明涉及显示技术领域,具体地,涉及一种显示面板的驱动方法、一种用于执行所述驱动方法的驱动电路和一种包括所述驱动电路的显示装置。
背景技术
显示装置包括多个像素单元,该多个像素单元排列为多行多列。每个像素单元包括多个子像素单元。为了简化结构,通常利用多路选择器向同一列像素单元的不同列子像素单元提供数据信号。但是,在显示时,显示画面不均匀,容易出现条纹。因此如何防止显示时出现条纹成为本领域亟待解决的技术问题。
发明内容
本发明的目的在于提供一种显示面板的驱动方法、一种用于执行所述驱动方法的驱动电路和一种包括所述驱动电路的显示装置。利用所述驱动方法驱动显示面板进行显示时,可以获得均匀的画面。
为了实现上述面对,作为本发明的一个方面,提供一种显示面板的驱动方法,所述显示面板包括多个子数据线组,每个所述子数据线组包括多条子数据线,其中,所述驱动方法包括:
向各个所述子数据线组的各条子数据线提供数据信号,其中,所述子数据线组内的各个子数据线中,最先接收到数据信号的子数据线,数据信号持续的时间最短。
优选地,向同一个所述子数据线组中各条子数据线提供数据信号的持续时间满足以下关系:

作为本发明的第二个方面,提供一种显示面板的驱动电路,所述显示面板包括多个子数据线组,每个所述子数据线组包括多条子数据线,所述驱动电路包括多条总数据线和与多条所述总数据线一一对应的多个多路选择器,所述多路选择器包括输入端、多个输出端和与多个所述输出端一一对应的多个控制端,每个所述子数据线组对应一个所述多路选择器,所述多路选择器的输出端的数量与每个所述子数据线组中的子数据线的条数相同,以与各条所述子数据线相连,其中,所述驱动电路还包括控制模块,所述控制模块能够向多个所述多路选择器的各个控制端提供控制信号,以使得所述多路选择器中相应的输出端与该多路选择器的输入端导通,且对于任意一个所述多路选择器,所述控制模块能够依次向该多路选择器的各个控制端提供控制信号,且最先接收到控制信号的控制信号端中控制信号持续的时间最短。
优选地,对于同一个所述多路选择器,各个控制端接收到的控制信号的持续时间满足以下关系:

在同一个子数据线组中,由于最先接收到数据信号的子数据线输出的电压受寄生电容影响最大,在本发明中,对于数据信号持续时间最短的子数据线,数据信号结束后,该子数据线与其他层金属形成的寄生电容继续向该子数据线放电,以使得该子数据线可以继续向该子数据线的输出端放电,并使得该子数据线的输出端输出的电压更加接近或者达到理想电压。

以下结合附图对本发明的具体实施方式进行详细说明。应当理解的是,此处所描述的具体实施方式仅用于说明和解释本发明,并不用于限制本发明。
经本发明的发明人研究发现,在显示面板进行显示时容易出现条纹等显示不均现象是因为在向显示面板提供数据电压时忽略的寄生电容的影响。下面结合图1中所示的具体实施方式对出现显示不均的原因进行详细说明。
如图1中所示,所述显示面板包括多个像素单元,多个像素单元排列为多行多列,每个像素单元包括三个子像素单元(图1中示出了子像素单元100、子像素单元200和子像素单元300)。一列像素单元对应一条总数据线400,每列子像素单元对应一条子数据线。例如,子像素单元100对应于子数据线410,子像素单元200对应于子数据线420,子像素单元300对应于子数据线430。多路选择器500的输入端与总数据线400电连接,三个输出端分别与子数据线410、子数据线420和子数据线430电连接。在不同时间段,总数据线接收到的多路选择器500分别在不同的时间段将总数据400与子数据线410、子数据线420和子数据线430导通,分别点亮各个子像素单元中的发光二极管OLED。
并且,在同一列像素单元中,向不同的子数据线通入数据信号的时间是相同的,如图2所示。即,向子像素单元100提供数据信号的时间t1、向子像素单元200提供数据信号的时间t2、向子像素单元300提供数据信号的时间t3均相同。
以显示白色为例,经本发明的发明人研究发现,在经过相同时间的充电后,三个子像素单元充电完毕后,三个子像素单元的驱动晶体管DTFT的栅极电压满足以下关系:VN1>VN2>VN3。这就导致了三个子像素单元中的OLED发光亮度不同。
进一步地,发明人发现,在利用子数据线对驱动晶体管栅极充电结束后,子数据线与其他层金属重叠形成的寄生电容Cdata会进一步放电,导致驱动晶体管的栅极电压进一步升高,如图3所示。由此可知,在充电持续时间相同的情况下,最先接收到数据信号充电的驱动晶体管的栅极电压最高。换言之,最先接收到数据信号充电的子数据线中,受寄生电容Cdata影响最大。
有鉴于此,作为本发明的一个方面,提供一种显示面板的驱动方法,所述显示面板包括多个子数据线组,每个所述子数据线组包括多条子数据线,其中,所述驱动方法包括:
向各个所述子数据线组的各条子数据线提供数据信号,其中,所述子数据线组内的各个子数据线中,最先接收到数据信号的子数据线,数据信号持续的时间最短。
在同一个子数据线组中,由于最先接收到数据信号的子数据线输出的电压受寄生电容影响最大,在本发明中,对于数据信号持续时间最短的子数据线,数据信号结束后,该子数据线与其他层金属形成的寄生电容继续向该子数据线放电,以使得该子数据线可以继续向该子数据线的输出端放电,并使得该子数据线的输出端输出的电压更加接近或者达到理想电压。此处所述的“理想电压”是指驱动所述子像素单元达到预期亮度所需要的电压。
在本发明中,对一个子数据线组中其他子数据线的充电时间并没有特殊的限制。例如,其他子数据线的充电时间可以相同,也可以不同,但均应大于最先接收到数据信号的子数据线的充电时间。
本领域技术人员容易理解的是,在驱动显示面板进行显示时,不同的子数据线组同时接受到数据信号,在各个子数据组中,各条子数据线接收到数据信号的持续时间均符合上述条件,最先接收到数据信号的子数据线上,数据信号持续的时间最短。
作为一种优选实施方式,向同一个所述子数据线组中各条子数据线提供数据信号的持续时间满足以下关系:
tn>tn-1
其中,n为自然数,且n≥2;
tn为第n条接收到数据信号的子数据线上通入数据信号所持续的时间。
越迟接收到数据信号,寄生电容的放电现象对子数据线的输出影响越小,因此,迟接收到数据信号的子数据线,数据信号的持续时间越长。
根据电荷守恒原则,tn*Ip=tn-1*Ip+tn*Icdata,其中,Ip为源极驱动器在所述子数据线上产生的充电电流,余像素电路、TFT特性、数据电压等相关;Icdata为寄生电容在所述子数据线上产生的充电电流,与像素电路、TFT特性、Data电压等相关。可以利用模拟软件smartspice获得Ip和Icdata
由此可知,向各条子数据线提供数据信号的时间还满足以下关系式(1):
作为一种具体实施方式,对于分辨率为HD(即,1280×720)的显示面板,当一个子数据线组包括两条子数据线的情况中,大约为1.05。
在本发明中,对n的具体数值并没有特殊的规定。优选地,n≤6。作为一种实施方式,每个子数据线组对应一列像素单元,一条子数据线对应一列子像素单元。通常,一个像素单元包括三个子像素单元或者四个子像素单元。也就是说,在一个像素单元包括三个子像素单元的情况中,n=3;在一个像素单元包括四个子像素单元的情况中,n=4。在n=6的实施方式中,两列像素单元(每个像素单元包括三个子像素单元)共用一个多路选择器。
作为本发明的第二个方面,提供一种显示面板的驱动电路,所述驱动电路用于执行本发明的上述驱动方法。如上文中所述,所述显示面板包括多个子数据线组,每个所述子数据线组包括多条子数据线。如图5所示,所述驱动电路包括多条总数据线400和与多条总数据线400一一对应的多个多路选择器500。多路选择器500包括输入端、多个输出端和与多个所述输出端一一对应的多个控制端。每个所述子数据线组对应一个多路选择器500(例如,当显示面板包括N个子数据线组时,所述驱动电路包括N个多路选择器),多路选择器500的输出端的数量与每个所述子数据线组中的子数据线的条数相同(例如,当一个子数据线组中包括3条子数据线时,多路选择器500包括3个输出端),以与相应的子数据线组中的各条所述子数据线一一对应地相连。其中,所述驱动电路还包括控制模块600,该控制模块能够向多个多路选择器500的各个控制端提供控制信号,以使得多路选择器500中相应的输出端与该多路选择器500的输入端导通。且对于任意一个多路选择器500,控制模块600能够依次向该多路选择器500的各个控制端提供控制信号,且最先接收到控制信号的控制信号端中控制信号持续的时间最短。
在本发明中,最先接收到控制信号的控制信号端相对应的输出端向与之相连的子数据线输出数据信号。控制信号持续的时间与数据信号持续的时间相同,由于该子数据线受到寄生电容的影响最大,因此,通过将其与输入端的导通时间控制在最短可以确保相应的子数据线在寄生电容的影响下输出比较接近理想电压的电压。
优选地,对于同一个多路选择器500,,各个输入端接收到的控制信号的持续时间满足以下关系:
tn>tn-1
其中,n为自然数,且n≥2;
tn为第n个接收到控制信号的控制端通入控制信号所持续的时间。
在本发明中,对控制模块如何同时控制各多路选择器并没有特殊的规定,作为一种实施方式,所述驱动电路包括多条控制线,所述控制线的条数与同一个多路选择器中的控制端的数量相同,多个所述多路选择器的各个控制端分别与相应的控制线电连接,多条所述控制线分别与所述控制模块的各个输出端电连接。
如上文中所述,优选地,n≤6。
在所述显示面板中,每个子数据线组对应一列像素单元,一条子数据线对应一列子像素单元。通常,一个像素单元包括三个子像素单元或者四个子像素单元。也就是说,在一个像素单元包括三个子像素单元的情况中,一个多路选择器中的输出端和控制端的数量均为3;在一个像素单元包括四个子像素单元的情况中,一个多路选择器中的输出端和控制端的数量均为4。在n=6的实施方式中,两列像素单元(每个像素单元包括三个子像素单元)共用一个多路选择器。
作为一种具体的实施方式,向各条子数据线提供数据信号的时间满足上文中提到的关系式(1)。
作为本发明的第三个方面,提供一种显示装置,所述显示装置包括显示面板和驱动电路,所述显示面板包括多个子数据线组,每个所述子数据线组包括多条子数据线,其中,所述驱动电路为本发明所提供的上述驱动电路,所述多路选择器的各个输出端分别与相应的子数据线电连接。
在本发明中,通过对同一个子数据线组中各条子数据线上的数据信号持续时间进行控制,可以获得更均匀的显示画面。
作为本发明的一种具体实施方式,优选地,所述显示面板为OLED显示面板。
每个子数据线用于对相应的一列子像素单元中的驱动晶体管DTFT进行充电,以驱动各个子像素单元中的发光二极管OLED进行发光。
下面结合图4和图5介绍本发明所提供的驱动方法以及驱动电路的工作原理。
在图4中示出了一个像素单元包括子像素单元100、子像素单元200和子像素单元300。每个子像素单元中都包括像素电路,像素电路为2T1C结构,包括开关晶体管STFT、驱动晶体管DTFT和存储电容。开关晶体管STFT的栅极与栅线电连接,开关晶体管STFT的第一极与相应的子数据线电连接,开关晶体管的第二极与驱动晶体管DTFT的栅极电连接,存储电容的第一端与驱动晶体管DTFT的栅极电连接,存储电容的第二端与驱动晶体管DTFT的第一极电连接。驱动晶体管DTFT的第一极与高电平输入端ELVDD电连接,驱动晶体管DTFT的第二极与发光二极管的OLED的阳极电连接,发光二极管的阴极与低电平输入端ELVSS电连接。开关晶体管STFT为P型晶体管,因此,当栅极信号Gate为低电平时,开关晶体管STFT的第一极和第二极导通。当然,本发明并不限于此,开关晶体管STFT也可以为N型晶体管。
子像素单元100的开关晶体管STFT的第一极与子数据线410电连接。子像素单元200的开关晶体管STFT的第一极与子数据线420电连接。子像素单元300的开关晶体管STFT的第一极与子数据线430电连接。总数据线400的一端与源极驱动器700电连接,总数据线400的另一端与多路选择器500的输入端电连接。
在驱动包括子像素单元100、子像素单元200、子像素单元300的像素单元发白光时,需要将子像素单元100的驱动晶体管DTFT的栅极N1、子像素单元200的驱动晶体管DTFT的栅极N2、子像素单元300的驱动晶体管DTFT的栅极N3均充电至电压VN0
多路选择器500包括第一控制晶体管SW1、第二控制晶体管SW2、第三控制晶体管SW3。第一控制晶体管SW1的栅极形成为多路选择器500的第一控制端,第一控制晶体管SW1的第一极形成为多路选择器的第一输出端,第一控制晶体管SW1的第二极与多路选择器500的输入端电连接。第二控制晶体管SW2的栅极形成为多路选择器500的第二控制端,第二控制晶体管SW2的第一极形成为多路选择器的第二输出端,第二控制晶体管SW2的第二极与多路选择器500的输入端电连接。第三控制晶体管SW3的栅极形成为多路选择器500的第三控制端,第三控制晶体管SW3的第一极形成为多路选择器的第三输出端,第三控制晶体管SW3的第二极与多路选择器500的输入端电连接。在本发明中第一控制晶体管SW1、第二控制晶体管SW2、第三控制晶体管SW3均为P型晶体管。当然,本发明并不限于此,第一控制晶体管SW1、第二控制晶体管SW2、第三控制晶体管SW3也可以为N型晶体管。
控制模块600首先向多路选择器500的第一控制端提供控制信号,使得多路选择器500的输入端与该多路选择器500的第一输出端电连接,使得源极驱动电路700提供的数据信号输送至子数据线410。控制模块600向第一控制端提供控制信号的时间持续t1。
控制模块600随后向多路选择器500的第二控制端提供控制信号,使得多路选择器500的输入端与该多路选择器500的第二输出端电连接,使得源极驱动电路700提供的数据信号输送至子数据线420。控制模块600向第二控制端提供控制信号的时间持续t2。
控制模块600最后向多路选择器500的第三控制端提供控制信号,使得多路选择器500的输入端与该多路选择器500的第三输出端电连接,使得源极驱动电路700提供的数据信号输送至子数据线430。控制模块600向第三控制端提供控制信号的时间持续t3。
其中,t3>t2>t1。
经模拟可知,t1时间段后,子像素单元100的驱动晶体管DTFT的栅极N1电压达到VN1;t2时间段后,子像素单元200的驱动晶体管DTFT的栅极N2电压达到VN2;t3时间段后,子像素单元300的驱动晶体管DTFT的栅极N3电压达到VN3。其中,VN3>VN2>VN1。经过寄生电容放电后,栅极N1、栅极N2、栅极N3的电压最终能够达到或靠近预期电压VN0,从而可以使得子像素单元100、子像素单元200和子像素单元300的亮度相同或接近,超过视觉分辨极限,从而可以获得理想的纯色灰阶,避免出现条纹等不良。
可以理解的是,以上实施方式仅仅是为了说明本发明的原理而采用的示例性实施方式,然而本发明并不局限于此。对于本领域内的普通技术人员而言,在不脱离本发明的精神和实质的情况下,可以做出各种变型和改进,这些变型和改进也视为本发明的保护范围。

Claims (10)

1.一种显示面板的驱动方法,所述显示面板包括多个子数据线组,每个所述子数据线组包括多条子数据线,其特征在于,所述驱动方法包括:
向各个所述子数据线组的各条子数据线提供数据信号,其中,所述子数据线组内的各个子数据线中,最先接收到数据信号的子数据线,数据信号持续的时间最短。
2.根据权利要求1所述的驱动方法,其特征在于,向同一个所述子数据线组中各条子数据线提供数据信号的持续时间满足以下关系:
tn>tn-1
其中,n为自然数,且n≥2;
tn为第n条接收到数据信号的子数据线上通入数据信号所持续的时间。
3.根据权利要求2所述的驱动方法,其特征在于,向各条子数据线提供数据信号的时间还满足以下关系:
其中,Ip为源极驱动器在所述子数据线上产生的充电电流;
Icdata为寄生电容在所述子数据线上产生的充电电流。
4.根据权利要求1至3中任意一项所述的驱动方法,其特征在于,n≤6。
5.一种显示面板的驱动电路,所述显示面板包括多个子数据线组,每个所述子数据线组包括多条子数据线,所述驱动电路包括多条总数据线和与多条所述总数据线一一对应的多个多路选择器,所述多路选择器包括输入端、多个输出端和与多个所述输出端一一对应的多个控制端,每个所述子数据线组对应一个所述多路选择器,所述多路选择器的输出端的数量与每个所述子数据线组中的子数据线的条数相同,以与各条所述子数据线相连,其特征在于,所述驱动电路还包括控制模块,所述控制模块能够向多个所述多路选择器的各个控制端提供控制信号,以使得所述多路选择器中相应的输出端与该多路选择器的输入端导通,且对于任意一个所述多路选择器,所述控制模块能够依次向该多路选择器的各个控制端提供控制信号,且最先接收到控制信号的控制信号端中控制信号持续的时间最短。
6.根据权利要求5所述的驱动电路,其特征在于,对于同一个所述多路选择器,各个控制端接收到的控制信号的持续时间满足以下关系:
tn>tn-1
其中,n为自然数,且n≥2;
tn为第n个接收到控制信号的控制端通入控制信号所持续的时间。
7.根据权利要求5或6所述的驱动电路,其特征在于,n≤6。
8.根据权利要求7所述的驱动电路,其特征在于,向各控制端线提供控制信号的时间还满足以下关系:
其中,Ip为源极驱动器在所述子数据线上产生的充电电流;
Icdata为寄生电容在所述子数据线上产生的充电电流。
9.一种显示装置,所述显示装置包括显示面板和驱动电路,所述显示面板包括多个子数据线组,每个所述子数据线组包括多条子数据线,其特征在于,所述驱动电路为权利要求5至8中任意一项所述的驱动电路,所述多路选择器的各个输出端分别与相应的子数据线电连接。
10.根据权利要求9所述的驱动电路,其特征在于,所述显示面板为OLED显示面板。
