Technical Field
The present invention relates to a home appliance having a handle groove.
Background
In conventional household appliances, the household appliance has an appliance interior which is delimited by a base body. The base body of the household appliance has a base body opening through which the appliance interior can be accessed from outside the household appliance. The base body opening is closed by the appliance door. A user of the household appliance can effectively manipulate the appliance door, and a conventional appliance door has a handle element by which the user can open or close the appliance door.

Disclosure of Invention
The object of the present invention is to provide a household appliance having an appliance door, which can be advantageously produced.
This object is achieved by a subject matter having the features according to the invention. Advantageous embodiments are the subject matter of the claims, the description and the figures of the present application.
According to one aspect, the object is achieved according to the invention by a domestic appliance having a base body with a base body opening and having an appliance door for closing the base body opening, wherein the appliance door has a window ring made of plastic for holding the window and a handle groove made of plastic for actuating the appliance door, wherein the window ring and the handle groove are formed in one piece.
The technical advantage achieved thereby is that the production method of the appliance door is simplified by the integral design of the handle groove and the window ring.
In conventional household appliances, the window ring and the handle element of the appliance door are produced as separate components which are then connected to one another, for example by a screw connection or a plug connection. In the manufacture of the different components of the appliance door, an additional amount of plastic material is required. Since the handle element must be connected to the window ring in a further manufacturing step, the assembly effort and therefore the assembly costs are likewise increased.
The invention relates to a handle groove which is integrally connected to a window ring, whereby a significantly simpler production of a device door of a domestic appliance can be achieved. The integrated design of the window ring and the handle groove in the appliance door makes it possible to implement different functions of the appliance door in one component. Furthermore, the amount of plastic required in the production of the appliance door can be reduced, and the assembly effort and therefore the assembly costs can be reduced. Furthermore, no additional components for the appliance door are required, and the handle slot can be realized in particular without additional components.
In addition, the window retained by the window ring may comprise a completely light-transmissive, partially light-transmissive or light-opaque material, thereby enabling a user to see through the window into the appliance interior chamber enclosed by the appliance door.
A household appliance is understood to be an appliance for domestic services. The household appliance may be a large household appliance, such as a washing machine, a dryer, a dishwasher. However, the household appliance can also be a small household appliance, such as a water heater, a fully automatic coffee machine, an electric kitchen appliance or a carpet cleaning appliance.
In an advantageous embodiment of the domestic appliance, the handle groove and the window ring are connected to one another in a non-separable material-locking manner.
The technical advantage achieved thereby is that a particularly stable connection between the two components of the appliance door is achieved by the inseparable material-locking connection between the handle groove and the window ring. The handle groove cannot be removed from the window ring without damaging at least one of the components.
In a further advantageous embodiment of the domestic appliance, the handle groove is arranged on the outer side of the window ring facing away from the base body opening.
The technical advantage achieved thereby is that the handle groove can be advantageously reached by a user of the household appliance by arranging the handle groove on the outer side of the window ring facing away from the base body opening. The user can thus effectively grasp the handle well from outside the window ring in order to open or close the appliance door.
In a further advantageous embodiment of the domestic appliance, the plastic of the window ring and the plastic of the handle well comprise polypropylene, acrylonitrile butadiene styrene or a mixture of the polypropylene and the acrylonitrile butadiene styrene, wherein the plastic of the window ring and the plastic of the handle well are in particular identical.
The technical advantage achieved thereby is that the mentioned plastics of the window ring and of the handle groove ensure advantageous mechanical properties of the component parts of the appliance door, which enables the appliance door to be produced cost-effectively. In the case of the same plastic material for the window ring and the handle groove, a particularly advantageous integrated production of the appliance door can be ensured.
In a further advantageous embodiment of the domestic appliance, the window ring comprises a first plastic and the handle groove comprises a second plastic, wherein the first plastic and the second plastic are different.
The technical advantage achieved thereby is that different material properties of the appliance door or window ring can be achieved by using different plastics for the handle groove and for the window ring.
In a further advantageous embodiment of the household appliance, the first plastic comprises polypropylene and the second plastic comprises acrylonitrile butadiene styrene copolymer.
The technical advantage achieved thereby is that the use of polypropylene for the window ring ensures that the window ring is produced advantageously and cost-effectively. Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene copolymer has higher durability than polypropylene, and thus can improve mechanical stability of a handle groove in an appliance door to achieve effective opening or closing of the appliance door.
In a further advantageous embodiment of the domestic appliance, the handle groove and the window ring have the same color or different colors.
The technical advantage achieved thereby is that the cost-effective production of the appliance door is achieved by using plastics of the same color for the handle groove and the window ring. When different colors are used for the handle groove and the window ring, the handle groove appears to be colored more prominently than the window ring, thereby making it particularly advantageous for the user to identify the handle groove, which is particularly advantageous when the illumination of the surroundings of the domestic appliance is insufficient.
In a further advantageous embodiment of the domestic appliance, the appliance door has a door hinge for holding the appliance door.
The technical advantage achieved thereby is that effective fastening of the appliance door to the appliance housing can be ensured by the door hinge. In this case, the appliance door can be mounted movably on the appliance housing by means of a door hinge in order to open or close the appliance door effectively.

The technical advantage achieved thereby is that particularly advantageous mechanical properties of the door hinge can be achieved by a further plastic of the door hinge, in particular a polyamide, which is different from the plastic of the window ring and/or the plastic of the handle groove. Due to the high mechanical loading of the door hinge when opening or closing the appliance door, it is advantageous if the additional plastic, in particular polyamide, has a high mechanical stability.
In a further advantageous embodiment of the household appliance, the door hinge and the window ring are connected in a non-positive or positive manner.
The technical advantage achieved thereby is that a particularly effective fastening of the appliance door to the appliance housing can be ensured by a non-positive or positive connection between the door hinge and the window ring.
In a further advantageous embodiment of the household appliance, the door hinge is arranged on the inner side of the window ring facing the base opening.
The technical advantage achieved thereby is that by arranging the door hinge on the inner side of the window ring facing the base opening, a particularly effective fastening of the door hinge to the appliance housing of the household appliance can be ensured, as a result of which an advantageous fastening of the appliance door to the appliance housing is achieved.
In a further advantageous embodiment of the household appliance, the plastic, in particular the first or the second plastic, or the further plastic comprises glass fibers.
The technical advantage achieved thereby is that the mechanical stability of the plastic and/or the further plastic can be improved by using glass fibers in the plastic and/or in the further plastic. The use of glass fibers in the further plastic is particularly advantageous, since the further plastic of the door hinge, in particular polyamide, can thereby be effectively reinforced in order to effectively withstand the mechanical loads occurring when opening and closing the appliance door.
In a further advantageous embodiment of the domestic appliance, the appliance door has a window frame, wherein the window frame is connected to the appliance door, wherein the window frame is arranged in a surrounding manner, in particular on an outer side of the window ring facing away from the base body opening.

The technical advantage achieved thereby is that the method according to the invention for molding and hardening a window ring from plastic and for molding and hardening a handle groove from plastic ensures an efficient and advantageous production of an appliance door, wherein the handle groove and the window ring are integrally connected to one another. Depending on the properties of the plastic used, the shaping and hardening of the window ring can be carried out before the shaping and hardening of the handle groove or alternatively before the shaping and hardening of the window ring. Alternatively, the forming and hardening of the handle groove may be performed simultaneously with the forming and hardening of the window ring.

Detailed Description
Fig. 1 schematically shows a schematic view of a typical household appliance 100, for example a washing machine as an example of the household appliance 100. The household appliance 100 comprises a rinsing housing 101, into which wash care products, for example detergents, can be injected. The household appliance 100 comprises a base body 103 having a base body opening 105 and an appliance door 107 for closing the base body opening 105 of the base body 103. The household appliance 100 can be filled with laundry via the appliance door 107.
FIG. 2 shows a schematic view of an appliance door having a window ring and a handle slot. Appliance door 107 has window ring 109 configured to receive and retain window 111. The window 111 may be made of at least partially light-transmitting or light-impermeable glass or of at least partially light-transmitting or light-impermeable plastic. When the window 111 is at least partially light-transmitting, a user of the household appliance 100 can then look through the at least partially light-transmitting window 111 of the appliance door 107 into the base body 103 of the household appliance 100 in order to look into the washing drum of the washing care appliance and to watch closely on the progress of the washing care process.
The window ring 109 is made of plastic, whereby a particularly stable fastening of the window 111 can be achieved. The plastic of window ring 109 may comprise polypropylene, acrylonitrile butadiene styrene copolymer or a mixture of the polypropylene and the acrylonitrile butadiene styrene copolymer, particularly polypropylene.
The appliance door 107 also has a handle slot 113 for manipulating the appliance door 107. A user of the household appliance 100 may grasp into the handle slot 113 of the appliance door 107 in order to open the appliance door 107 or close the appliance door 107. The handle groove 113 and the appliance door 107 are formed in one piece, wherein the handle groove 113 and the window ring 109 are formed in particular in one piece. The handle groove 113 and the appliance door 107 are connected to one another in a material-locking manner and in particular cannot be separated from one another in a material-locking manner. The handle groove 113 is arranged in particular on the outer side of the window ring 109 facing away from the base body opening 105.
The handle groove 113 is made of plastic, whereby particularly advantageous material properties of the handle groove 113 can be achieved and the mechanical stability of the handle groove 113 can be improved. The plastic of the handle slot 113 may comprise polypropylene, acrylonitrile butadiene styrene copolymer or a mixture of the polypropylene and the acrylonitrile butadiene styrene copolymer, particularly acrylonitrile butadiene styrene copolymer.
The handle groove 113 and the window ring 109 are manufactured as one part during the manufacture of the appliance door 107 in an injection molding process. The window ring 109 is made of plastic, in particular polypropylene, and the handle groove 113 is made of plastic, in particular acrylonitrile butadiene styrene. The window ring 109 and the handle groove 113 can also be made of the same plastic.
The fixture door 107 also has a door hinge 115 for holding the fixture door 107, wherein the door hinge 115 is connected, in particular non-positively or positively, to the window ring 109. The appliance door 107 can be effectively fastened to the base body 103 of the household appliance 100 by means of the door hinge 115. The appliance door 107 can be movably fastened to the base body 103 of the household appliance 100 by means of a door hinge 115 in order to close the base body opening 105 of the base body 103 of the household appliance 100.
The door hinge 115 is made of another plastic, whereby particularly stable material properties of the door hinge 115 can be achieved. The additional plastic of door hinge 115 comprises, in particular, polyamide and may comprise glass fibers, as a result of which a high mechanical durability of door hinge 115 may be ensured.
The appliance door 107 also has a window frame 117, wherein the window frame 117 is connected to the appliance door 107. The window frame 117 is connected in particular force-or form-fit manner to the appliance door 107, in particular to the window ring 109. The window frame 117 is arranged in a circumferential manner, in particular on the outside of the window ring 109, wherein the window frame 117 is arranged in a complete circumferential manner without interruption on the window ring 109.
The handle slot 113 for opening and closing the appliance door 107 can be effectively integrated into the window ring 109 by the integrated configuration of the handle slot 113 and the window ring 109. The plastic of the handle groove 113 and the plastic of the window ring 109 can in particular have the same or different colors, whereby different variants and color examples can be provided in a simple manner without higher costs for assembly and one-piece production.
The advantage achieved here is that it is possible to provide an appliance door 107 with a handle slot 113 and a door hinge 115 without additional components in an efficient manner and in particular to achieve a colored handle slot 113 without additional components.
Fig. 3 shows a schematic illustration of a method for producing an appliance door of a domestic appliance. The appliance door 107 closes the base opening 105 of the appliance housing 103 of the domestic appliance 100. The appliance door 107 is formed by a window ring 109 and a handle groove 113, which are integrally formed. The window ring 109 is made of plastic and the handle groove 113 is made of plastic.
The method 200 for manufacturing the appliance door 107 includes the steps of: forming 201 the window ring 109 from plastic; molding the handle groove 113 from plastic; hardening 205 the window ring 109; and hardening 207 the handle slot 113 so as to obtain the appliance door 107 having the window ring 109 integrally configured with the handle slot 113.
Depending on the properties of the plastic used, the shaping and hardening of the window ring 109 can be carried out before the shaping and hardening of the handle groove 113, or alternatively the shaping and hardening of the handle groove 113 can be carried out before the shaping and hardening of the window ring 109. Alternatively, the forming and hardening of the handle groove 113 may be performed simultaneously with the forming and hardening of the window ring 109.
All features described and shown in connection with the individual embodiments of the invention can be provided in the subject matter according to the invention in different combinations in order to achieve their advantageous effects at the same time.
