The application relates to the technical field of mobile terminals, in particular to an expansion device and a mobile combination device of a mobile terminal.
Background
At present, mobile terminals are used more and more in places, such as mobile phones, PDAs, various tablet computers, and the like, and most of these electronic devices are mainly touch-controlled.
Accordingly, most of the application software on these mobile terminals is mainly touch-control operation, some software is really convenient to use touch-control operation, but some software may not be so convenient to use touch-control operation.
For example, some map browsing software requires a user to look at a map in a certain direction, and if the length of the map to be browsed is large, the displayable range of the display screen is limited, and the user needs to slide for multiple times to browse the desired range. For some games, the user needs to control the direction or perform a strict operation of the direction key to complete some calling actions, so that the user's requirement is difficult to be met by touch operation.
In view of the above problems, some mobile terminal peripherals have been developed, for example, some mobile terminal peripherals employ a device like a joystick, the mobile terminal is embedded therein and then establishes a communication connection with the mobile terminal, and at this time, operation information on the device is transmitted to the mobile terminal, so that a user can control the mobile terminal using a joystick and keys thereon. The requirements of users are met to a certain extent. Or as shown in fig. 1, some devices similar to a handle, which controls the mobile terminal by establishing a communication connection with the mobile terminal directly through near field communication.
However, in the using process, due to the fact that the equipment is large in size and inconvenient to use, a user only needs to use the equipment in the case of most professional use, such as important occasions or important competitions, and in some leisure occasions, although the operability of the equipment is better, the user may not want to use the equipment too much in consideration of portability. Therefore, there is an urgent need for an expansion device with good operability and high portability.

Detailed Description
In order to make those skilled in the art better understand the technical solutions in the present application, the technical solutions in the embodiments of the present application will be clearly and completely described below with reference to the drawings in the embodiments of the present application, and it is obvious that the described embodiments are only a part of the embodiments of the present application, and not all of the embodiments. All other embodiments, which can be derived by a person skilled in the art from the embodiments given herein without making any creative effort, shall fall within the protection scope of the present application.
The embodiment provides an expansion device of a mobile terminal, which is applied to the mobile terminal and can provide an expansion function with good operability and portability for the mobile terminal. The expansion equipment transmits control information to the mobile terminal after being connected to the mobile terminal and establishing communication connection with the mobile terminal, so that a user can conveniently control the mobile terminal through the functions of the expansion equipment. The user can obtain better operation experience, and the convenient and fast mobile terminal expansion function is provided for the user.
At present, most mobile terminals are divided into two types of mobile terminals, the forward direction of which is vertical and the forward direction of which is horizontal, and the mobile terminal with the forward direction of which is vertical is: the display screen of the mobile terminal is rectangular, two short sides of the display screen correspond to the top and the bottom of the mobile terminal, and two long sides correspond to the left side and the right side of the terminal, for example, an iphone mobile phone, an ipad and the like which are used daily are mobile terminals with the longitudinal direction in the positive direction. Although such a mobile terminal can be used in a landscape orientation by rotating the screen of the display 90 degrees clockwise or counterclockwise, it is normally used in a portrait orientation. In this embodiment, the normal usage is vertical placement, for example, the default direction of the interface of the operating system is vertical, and such a mobile terminal is defined as a mobile terminal whose usage positive direction is vertical. At present, most of the existing mobile phones are mobile terminals with longitudinal forward directions.
The mobile terminal with the transverse forward direction is used in the invention, namely the mobile terminal is transversely placed in the normal state, or the default interface of the operating system is the transverse mobile terminal. The display screen of the mobile terminal is rectangular, two long edges of the display screen correspond to the top and the bottom of the mobile terminal, and two short edges correspond to the left side and the right side of the terminal. For example, most existing portable game machines, such as psp and nds, and professional movie playing mobile terminals, since movies are displayed on a landscape screen, the movie player is normally used in a landscape mode, and a default interface of an operating system is also in a landscape mode. In this embodiment, the normal usage is horizontal placement, for example, the default direction of the interface of the operating system is horizontal, and such a mobile terminal is defined as a mobile terminal whose usage direction is horizontal. Most of the portable game machines currently in use a mobile terminal whose forward direction is the lateral direction.
The above is about the description of two types of mobile terminals using the forward direction as the longitudinal direction and the forward direction as the lateral direction, and the following first embodiment and second embodiment will be described with respect to the extension devices of the two types of mobile terminals respectively.
Example one
The expansion device of the first embodiment is mainly applied to a mobile terminal with a longitudinal forward direction, and the expansion device is mounted on the top or the bottom of the mobile terminal and transmits control information to the mobile terminal after establishing communication connection with the mobile terminal. As shown in fig. 1a, the extension device may include a direction information input module 11, which may be a rocker 11, and by pushing the rocker 11 up and down, left and right, direction control information corresponding to the up, down, left and right directions is generated and transmitted to the mobile terminal, so as to control the corresponding operation object of the mobile terminal to move up, down, left and right. For example, as shown in fig. 1b, a direction indicator similar to a mouse indicator is formed on the mobile terminal, and the direction indicator can be controlled to move up, down, left and right on the display screen by operating the extension device.
In addition, after the expansion device is installed, the mobile terminal can also be horizontally placed for use, such as playing a game with a horizontal viewing angle, or controlling a direction indicator in a display screen to move after being horizontally placed, and the like.
The extension device of the first embodiment is mainly oriented to a mobile terminal whose use forward direction is longitudinal, and the extension device includes:
the first installation module is used for being installed at the bottom or the top of the mobile terminal and establishing communication connection with the mobile terminal; the communication connection establishment mode comprises interface connection and/or wireless connection;
after the first installation module establishes communication connection with the mobile terminal, operation generation control information on the first installation module is transmitted to the mobile terminal;
if the first installation module is set to be in a left-hand operation mode, the mapping relation between the operation on the first installation module and the control information generated by the operation is a first mapping relation; if the first installation module is set to be in a right-hand operation mode, the mapping relation between the operation on the first installation module and the control information generated by the operation is a second mapping relation; the first mapping relationship is different from the second mapping relationship.
When the mobile terminal is normally used, the first installation module is installed at the top of the mobile terminal and is in communication connection with the mobile terminal, and if the display direction of the mobile terminal is a first direction, the first installation module is set to be in a left-hand operation mode; if the display direction of the mobile terminal is a second direction, the first installation module is set to be in a right-hand operation mode; the first direction is a direction in which the mobile terminal rotates 90 degrees counterclockwise in the positive direction, and the second direction is a direction in which the mobile terminal rotates 90 degrees clockwise in the positive direction;
when the first installation module is installed at the bottom of the mobile terminal and is in communication connection with the mobile terminal, if the display direction of the mobile terminal is a first direction, the first installation module is set to be in a right-hand operation mode; if the display direction of the mobile terminal is a second direction, the first installation module is set to be in a left-hand operation mode; the first direction is the direction that the mobile terminal rotates 90 degrees in the positive direction by anticlockwise, and the second direction is the direction that the mobile terminal rotates 90 degrees in the positive direction by clockwise.
As shown in fig. 1a, the mounting portion of the first mounting module may include two extended physical connection portions 12 for connecting to the mobile terminal, the connection portions 12 may be fastened to the mobile terminal in a snap manner, or may be attached to the back of the mobile terminal in a suction manner, and the connection manner may be various. In addition, the mobile terminal may further include an interface connection portion 13, where the interface connection portion 13 is in a retractable form, and when extended, can form a raised interface, and the raised interface can be just inserted into the bottom of the mobile terminal. Therefore, when the first installation module extends out of the interface connection interface part, the first installation module can be connected to the bottom of the mobile terminal in an interface connection mode to establish communication connection. When the first installation module retracts to the interface connection part, the first installation module can be directly connected to the top or the bottom of the mobile terminal in a physical connection mode and is connected in a near field communication mode, such as Bluetooth or wifi connection, so that communication connection is established. The second installation module can be physically connected with the mobile terminal and establish communication connection in the same connection mode as the first connection module.
As shown in fig. 1b, after the first installation module is installed on the top of the mobile terminal, orientation control information may be transmitted to the mobile terminal by operating a joystick on the first installation module, for example, up, down, left, and right orientation control information may be input to the mobile terminal to control an operation object in the mobile terminal, such as a direction indicator, to move up, down, left, and right.
The schematic diagram of controlling the mobile terminal by using the first installation module may also be that, as shown in fig. 1c, the first installation module is installed on the top of the mobile terminal, and then the screen is placed horizontally. If the APP displayed horizontally is turned on, such as a game displayed horizontally (as shown in FIG. 1 d). The first installation module can be used as a left-hand or right-hand controller of the mobile terminal to control the APP or an operation object in the game. For example, as shown in fig. 1c or fig. 1d, the first installation module is installed on the top of the mobile terminal, and after the mobile terminal is rotated 90 degrees counterclockwise, the user can operate the first installation module with the left hand to operate the APP of the mobile terminal or the operation object in the game.
Taking the operation of a game in a mobile terminal as an example, a general game requires a user to perform a direction control operation using the left hand and perform a key operation using the right hand. The present embodiment is described by taking an example that the first installation module needs to implement the left-hand direction control operation, and there are two implementation manners as follows:
the first method is to mount the first installation module on the top of the mobile terminal, then rotate the mobile terminal 90 degrees counterclockwise in the display positive direction, at this time, the positional relationship between the first installation module and the mobile terminal is as shown in fig. 1d, if the default display mode of the game screen is the direction of rotating 90 degrees counterclockwise in the display positive direction of the mobile terminal, then the screen displayed in the game is also the mobile terminal rotating 90 degrees counterclockwise in the display positive direction, that is, the screen is facing the user, and the user can use the left hand to operate the first installation module to control the operation object in the game.
The second method is to mount the first installation module at the bottom of the mobile terminal, and then rotate the mobile terminal clockwise by 90 degrees in the forward direction of the display of the mobile terminal, at this time, the positional relationship between the first installation module and the mobile terminal is as shown in fig. 1e and fig. 1f, where fig. 1e is a schematic diagram corresponding to fig. 1c, which is a schematic diagram of connecting the first installation module after the mobile terminal is tilted, and fig. 1f is a schematic diagram corresponding to fig. 1d, which is a schematic diagram of connecting the first installation module after the mobile terminal is tilted. If the default display mode of the game picture is a direction of rotating 90 degrees counterclockwise in the display positive direction of the mobile terminal, then for the user, the displayed picture is inverted, and the displayed picture needs to be rotated 180 degrees, for example, 180 degrees inversion of the picture is automatically realized through gravity induction of the mobile terminal, or the user manually executes 180 degrees inversion of the picture. After the game is inverted, the game picture is opposite to the user, and then the user can use the left hand to operate the first installation module so as to control the operation object in the game.
It should be noted that, for most mobile phones, the space outside the top display screen is relatively small, as shown in fig. 1b, the space outside the top display screen only has the space corresponding to the camera and the audio box power amplifier, while the space outside the bottom display screen is relatively large, for example, iphone and other mobile phones have the space corresponding to the home button at the bottom, and some samsung or hua mobile phones also have similar buttons, so that the space outside the bottom display screen is larger than the space outside the top display screen. For a user, the expansion equipment is arranged at the bottom, so that the movement space of the hand of the user is larger and more comfortable when the user operates the peripheral equipment. So, in the above two implementations, the second implementation is better experienced by the user.
It can be seen from the above embodiments that the functions of the expansion device of this embodiment are more flexible, and the user can flexibly set the operation mode according to the own requirements. Only one peripheral is needed to have multiple modes of operation, at least as in fig. 1 b-1 f. The flexibility is higher while the extended function is improved, and the peripheral only needs a small volume to realize a convenient and flexible extended mode.
In order to achieve the comprehensive operation and make the expanded rear peripheral device have functions similar to those of the existing professional handle, the expansion device of the embodiment may further include a second installation module, which is basically the same as the first installation module and is installed on the mobile terminal together with the first installation module, so as to form an expansion device with more complete functions and have more comprehensive expansion functions.
The second installation module is used for being connected to the opposite end of the first installation module and establishing communication connection with the mobile terminal; the communication connection establishment mode comprises interface connection and/or wireless connection;
after the second installation module establishes communication connection with the mobile terminal, operation on the second installation module generates control information and transmits the control information to the mobile terminal;
the second installation module is in a right-hand mode of operation when the first installation module is in the left-hand mode of operation, and the second installation module is in a left-hand mode of operation when the first installation module is in the right-hand mode of operation;
if the first installation module is set to be in a left-hand operation mode, the mapping relation between the operation on the first installation module and the control information generated by the operation is a first mapping relation; if the first installation module is set to be in a right-hand operation mode, the mapping relation between the operation on the first installation module and the control information generated by the operation is a second mapping relation; and if the first installation module is set to be in a left-hand operation mode, the second installation module is set to be in a right-hand operation mode, and if the first installation module is set to be in a right-hand operation mode, the second installation module is set to be in a left-hand operation mode.
The second mounting module may be a device that functions substantially the same as or similar to the first mounting module. The first and second installation modules may be installed at the top and bottom of the mobile terminal at the same time in normal use. Thus, the extended function of the left-hand operation and the extended function of the right-hand operation can be provided at the same time. The mounting manner may be that the first mounting module or the second mounting module is mounted at the top of the mobile terminal and the other is mounted at the bottom.
Fig. 2a is a schematic diagram illustrating that the first installation module and the second installation module are installed on the mobile terminal, taking the case that the first installation module is installed on the top of the mobile terminal and the second installation module is installed on the bottom of the mobile terminal as an example. After the installation is finished, the mobile terminal is rotated counterclockwise by 90 degrees in the use positive direction to play a game, and the game picture is over against the user, namely the user can see the picture in the positive direction instead of the picture in the reverse direction. And after the first installation module is set to be in a left-hand operation mode and the second installation module is set to be in a right-hand operation mode, the user operates the first installation module by using the left hand, the first installation module is in the left-hand operation mode, and in the mode, the rocker of the first installation module generates direction control information, and the user can input the direction control information to the mobile terminal by operating the rocker. The user uses the right hand to operate the second installation module, the second installation module is in a right hand operation mode, in the mode, the rocker of the second installation module generates the visual angle control information, and the user can input the visual angle control information to the mobile terminal by operating the rocker. Therefore, more comprehensive operation functions can be achieved through the first and second installation modules.
Fig. 2b is a schematic diagram illustrating the operation of starting the game in fig. 2 a. Fig. 2d is a schematic diagram illustrating the operation of starting the game in fig. 2 c.
Furthermore, according to the personal habits of the user, the user may also form the orientation of the mobile terminal shown in fig. 2d as 180 degrees inversion of the orientation of the mobile terminal shown in fig. 2b, in such a way that the user rotates 90 degrees clockwise in the forward direction of use of the mobile terminal. At this time, the game picture can be inverted first, so that the displayed picture can still be over against the user, i.e. the user of the mobile terminal in the direction can see the forward picture rather than the upside down picture. And then switching the first installation module from a left-hand operation mode to a right-hand operation mode, and switching the second installation module from a right-hand operation mode to a left-hand operation mode. Thereafter, the user operates the second installation module with the left hand, since the second installation module is in a left-hand operation mode in which operating its rocker generates directional control information; the user operates the first installation module with the right hand, the first installation module being in a right hand operation mode in which operating its joystick will generate the viewing angle control information. Therefore, after the mobile terminal is placed upside down, the operation mode of a user is still unchanged, and more comprehensive operation functions can still be achieved through the first installation module and the second installation module.
It is conceivable that the first installation module and the second installation module may also exchange installation positions, that is, the first installation module is installed at the bottom of the mobile terminal, and the second installation module is installed at the top of the mobile terminal, so long as the operation modes thereof are correspondingly adjusted, the same user operation and experience as those in fig. 2 a-2 d can still be provided. Namely, the installation module corresponding to the left hand of the user is set to be in a left-hand operation mode, and the installation module corresponding to the right hand of the user is set to be in a right-hand operation mode.
In the above scheme, the first installation module and the second installation module need to set different operation modes in different connection modes. The mode of setting or switching the operation mode can be manually switched by a user, for example, switching is performed through a control interface, switching can be performed through a switching button on the installation module, and automatic switching can be performed by the mobile terminal according to gravity sensing. If the mobile terminal is turned over, the display direction of the picture which can be over against the user is determined according to the gravity sensing, namely, the user of the mobile terminal in the direction can see the positive picture instead of the inverted picture. And the left side and the right side of the picture displayed by the user are just faced, the installation module correspondingly connected on the left side is set to be in a left-hand operation mode, and the installation module correspondingly connected on the right side is set to be in a right-hand operation mode.
When the left-right hand mode of the mobile terminal needs to be switched, the switching mode at least includes the following modes: the first installation module switches the left-hand operation mode and the right-hand operation mode when receiving a mode switching instruction of the mobile terminal; or when the first installation module detects that a mode change switch on the first installation module is operated, the left-hand operation mode and the right-hand operation mode are switched according to the operation; or the first installation module switches the left-hand operation mode and the right-hand operation mode when detecting that the display direction of the mobile terminal is reversely turned. The mode switching of the second installation module is the same here, and is not described again.
The first installation module or the second installation module in this embodiment may generate different input signals in different operation modes in the same operation thereon. I.e. different operation modes correspond to different input signal mappings. One mapping of the operating mode to the input signal may be: the rocker operates to generate a direction control signal in the left-hand operation mode, and the rocker operates to generate a visual angle control signal in the right-hand operation mode. The control signals generated after the other operable components are operated are the same, that is, the same components are operated to generate different input signals in different modes. For example, for key a, in the left-hand operation mode, pressing the key a may generate the input signal a, and in the right-hand operation mode, pressing the key a may generate the input signal B. It can be thought that the mapping relationship can also be flexibly set and adjusted according to specific requirements and scenes, and after the mapping relationship is set, the first and second installation modules generate corresponding control signals according to the current operation modes of the first and second installation modules and after user operation is detected.
As can be seen from the above description, the first installation module and the second installation module of the present embodiment can be installed on the mobile terminal at the same time to function together. And the first installation module and the second installation module can exchange installation positions with each other, and the whole function can still be unchanged after transposition installation. Therefore, the above-mentioned cooperation can have better overall effect, for example, if the user uses the installation mode on the left frequently and uses the installation mode on the right infrequently, the installation positions can be exchanged periodically, so that the losses of the first installation module and the second installation module are relatively balanced, and both installation modules can be used for a longer time. In addition, the method can also have better use effect on sudden loss. For example, if the first installation module installed on the left side at ordinary times has local loss, although the first installation module is barely usable, the sensitivity and the accuracy are reduced, and the second installation module installed on the right side at ordinary times has normal functions. At ordinary times, if the operating frequency and the operating accuracy requirement of the left hand are far greater than those of the right hand, the first installation module and the second installation module can be exchanged at installation positions temporarily, so that the high requirement of the left hand operation can be met, and the right hand has low operating requirement, so that the first installation module with local loss is installed on the right side, and the user experience is not reduced too much.
Further, it is conceivable that, in the above case, the screen may be turned upside down in normal use without interchanging the positions of the first mounting module and the second mounting module, and the left-right hand operation mode of both may be switched, and the above-described effects may still be obtained.
According to the embodiment, the expansion equipment can provide more expansion functions for the user, and the operation of the user and the mapping relation generated by the operation can be flexibly set and adjusted, so that the user can set various mapping relations according to the requirement of the user to meet various different requirements, and the expansion equipment further has higher flexibility and can meet various requirements of the user.
Example two
The present embodiment provides an extension device of a mobile terminal, which is similar to the principle of the foregoing embodiments, and the difference is that the extension device of the present embodiment is used to connect with a mobile terminal whose forward direction is horizontal and transmit control information to the mobile terminal.
