Description

Drawer side wall
Technical Field
The invention relates to a side wall for a drawer, having a locking device for detachably fastening a panel-shaped furniture part, in particular a front panel, to the side wall, wherein the front panel has a support device which can be detachably engaged with the locking device.
Background
Sidewalls of the type concerned are known from DE 102010060722 a 1. Such prior art connection fittings have proven themselves to be well-functioning and are characterized in that the base portion is mounted to or formed on a wall adapter of a drawer side wall, and a manually actuatable release lever is coupled to the locking lever and to the base portion and extends upwardly into an open space in the wall adapter so that it can be manually actuated by a user in the open space. However, further optimization is required for the use of relatively tall side walls and front panels.
A connecting fitting for detachably connecting a first furniture part to a second furniture part is described in DE 202009014811U 1. The furniture fitting has a container element and at least two fastening elements, wherein the container element is assigned to a first furniture part and the at least two fastening elements are assigned to a second furniture part, or vice versa. The container element has a locking device for detachably holding the at least two fastening elements, wherein the at least two fastening elements can be jointly locked in the container element. The locking device of the container element has at least two locking elements to which an accumulator, preferably a spring, is applied or applicable, which can be latched by means of a fastening element.
A problem in DE 202009014811 is that the actuation of the fastening device between the front panel and the side wall or drawer or the unlocking of the connection lock between the front panel and the side wall can only be achieved by using additional tools, such as screwdrivers.
Fastening devices for fastening a front panel to a drawer wall are known from DE 29818651U 1. The fastening device has an anchor member to connect the front panel with a portion of the corresponding drawer wall. The anchor part has one or more expansion anchors which can be inserted into the designated front panel bores, wherein expansion screws are provided which can be inserted into the designated expansion anchors through openings of the anchor part, which expansion screws can each be rotated in the expansion anchors by means of an actuating rod and thus expand the expansion anchors. Actuation of the actuating lever accordingly takes place "by hand", without tool assistance. A disadvantage of DE 29818651U 1 is that geometrically matching variants of fastening means have to be prepared for each wall or panel height and provided or adopted during drawer assembly.
Disclosure of Invention
The present invention has the following objects with respect to this prior art: the side wall of the type in question is improved in such a way that it can also be used in a simple manner on a tall drawer.
The invention achieves this object with a side wall for a drawer having the following features: a. the side wall has a first locking device for detachably fastening a panel-shaped furniture part, in particular a front panel, to the side wall, wherein the front panel has a first support device which can be detachably engaged with the first locking device, characterized in that b. Furthermore, the invention provides a drawer for insertion into a furniture body, wherein the drawer has at least one side wall as described above.
According to the above feature, the following feature is provided: in addition to one (and thus the first) locking means, each side panel has a second locking means, wherein the second locking means is arranged and/or formed on or in the side wall mirror-symmetrically to the first locking means.
The two locking means are constructed mirror-symmetrically to each other in each side panel. Since the mirror-symmetrically designed locking means are provided for the left and right side walls in the shorter drawer, both locking means can be provided simultaneously on each side on the tall drawer. This avoids having to manufacture a total of four different locking means for the two side walls of the drawer.
In an advantageous embodiment variant of the invention, both locking means can be actuated independently of each other by respective independent separating levers, each of which can be actuated using one hand. Advantageously, no tools have to be used for unlocking.
In a further advantageous embodiment variant of the invention, the locking means are arranged facing each other such that their release lever on one side of the drawer or the locking means of the side wall can be released advantageously using one hand. The actuation of the locking device of the connection fitting is thus advantageously facilitated. The front panel can advantageously be removed without tools. However, tools may also be used to assist removal.
According to a further embodiment variant of the invention, a handle can also be provided to enable simultaneous actuation of the two separate levers of the two locking devices. The handle may also be arranged so that it is not necessary to displace or remove the side wall. The front panel can advantageously be removed without tools.
The invention also provides a side wall for a drawer having the following features: one or each of the locking devices has a base plate, whereby a particularly compact construction of the locking device can be implemented. This advantageous configuration is suitable as a development of the above-described solution, but can also be considered as a separate invention, the continuation and development of which advantageously contributes to the compact configuration and is defined in the following.

Detailed Description
Fig. 1 shows a cabinet-type furniture 2. The cabinet furniture 2 has a furniture body 3. Three drawers 4, 5 (by way of example only) are inserted here into the furniture carcass 3. The drawers 4, 5 are displaceably guided in the furniture body 3, so that each drawer 4, 5 can be correspondingly pulled out of the furniture body 3 into an open position and can be pushed back from this position into a closed position.
The drawer 5 shown in fig. 2a and 2b has a first plate-like furniture part, which is preferably designed as a front panel 6, in this case a relatively tall front panel 6. The drawer 5 has at least one second plate-like furniture part which forms one of the two side walls 1a,1b of the drawer 5. In the following example, the drawer 5 is described as having two side walls 1a,1 b. The side walls 1a,1b are preferably each constructed with two shells. For this purpose, the outer shells 11a,11b are displaceably guided in the inner shells 10a,10b, the inner shells 10a,10b forming narrow cavities with the respective outer shell 11a,11 b. In addition, the drawer 5 will have a rear wall and a drawer bottom 12. The outer and inner shells are preferably (but not necessarily) made of aluminium. According to a particularly preferred embodiment, the outer shell and the inner shell are formed as aluminum extruded profiles. Even more preferably, the outer and inner shells form a very narrow side wall, which is preferably narrower than 15mm, in particular narrower than 12 mm. The invention can be used advantageously in particular in the case of such narrow side walls.
In fig. 2b, the outer shell 11b of the left side wall 1b of the drawer 5 is not shown from the perspective of the operator of the drawer 5, and the inner shell 10a of the right side wall 1a is not shown from the perspective of the operator of the drawer 5.
The side walls 1a and 1b each always have two connection fittings 7a,7b, with which the front panel 6 can be fastened to the respective side wall. For this purpose, the front panel 6 can be connected or connected to each connection fitting 7a,7b in the mounted state by means of the support means 8 using corresponding locking means 9a,9b on the corresponding side wall 1a or 1b, respectively.
In this case, the locking means 9a,9b of the connection fittings 7a,7b can be fastened to the side walls 1a,1b of the drawer 5 in different ways. In the case of double- walled side walls 1a,1b, the fastening of the respective base plate 18 of the locking device 9a,9b is preferably effected in the inner shell 10a,10b of the side wall 1a,1b, preferably by a molding process, particularly preferably by sewing with pre-perforations or by using a pre-perforated dummy seal (clinking). Alternatively, other reversible or irreversible fastening options are also conceivable.
The structure of the support means 8 can be realised in a very different manner within the scope of the invention. The supporting means 8 must be able to be fixed or fastened to a first plate-like furniture part, for example the front panel 6, and the supporting means 8 have abutment elements, for example suitable recesses or pins 14 extending horizontally in the mounted position. The support means 8 can be fixed (by clamping and/or gluing) in the opening of the front panel 6, for example by using one or more anchor-type pins (not shown here). Alternatively, it is also conceivable thereby to fasten the support device 8 to the front panel 6 in other ways by means of screws (see fig. 5d for this purpose).
In fig. 5a, the drawer 5 is shown with the front panel 6 mounted or locked and the housing 11b with the side walls 1b pushed back. Each locking means 9a,9b is located in the locking position, respectively. Each locking device 9a,9b has a release lever 22. The release lever 22 is thus also in the locked position.
In fig. 5b, the drawer 5 is shown still with the front panel 6 locked and the outer shell 11b of the side wall 1b pushed back. Accordingly, the respective separating lever 22 of the locking device 9a,9b is moved in the direction of the separating position.
In fig. 5b, the drawer 5 is shown with the front panel 6 further separated from the side walls 1a,1b and the housing 11b of the side wall 1b pushed back. Accordingly, the respective separating lever 22 of the locking device 9a,9b is moved further in the direction of the separating position.
In fig. 5d, the drawer 5 is shown with the front panel 6 partially separated and the side wall 1b pushed back. Accordingly, the respective disengagement lever 22 of the locking device 9a,9b is in the disengaged position, so that the front panel 6 can be removed from the drawer 5.
In this case, it is advantageous if, in addition to the first locking means 9a, each side wall 1a,1b has a second locking means 9b, wherein such second locking means 9b are arranged and/or formed mirror-symmetrically above the first locking means 9a on the inner shell 10a,10b of the side wall 1a,1b and are arranged in the cavity between the inner shell 10a,10b and the outer shell 11a,11b of the side wall 1a or 1 b.
The term "mirror-symmetrically" here preferably means: the first locking means 9a are mirrored vertically at a plane of symmetry (which extends through the line X-Y and here preferably in the longitudinal direction through the centre of the drawer or in another way perpendicular to the side walls 1a,1 b; see fig. 3) so that the resulting mirror image corresponds to the position and location of the second locking means 9 b. The locking means are constructed for this purpose, in particular such that the lower locking means of the left side wall is constructed identically to the upper locking means of the right side wall and vice versa. This is shown in an obvious manner in each of fig. 2b, 3, 4 and in fig. 5a to 5 d.
Advantageously, both locking means 9a,9b can be actuated independently of each other by respective independent release levers 22, each release lever 22 being manually actuatable by the user. In this case, the mutual distance of the separating rods 22 is preferably chosen such that two separating rods 22 can be actuated simultaneously by different fingers of one hand.
Due to the use of the two locking devices 9a,9b in different positions/alignments, the front panel can also be fastened in a simple, cost-effective and thus advantageous manner in the case of a tall front panel 6. This advantageously eliminates the need for a plurality of constructional height variants of the locking devices 9a,9b to be kept ready.
In each of fig. 2b, 3, 4 and in fig. 5a to 5d are shown in an obvious manner: the locking devices 9a,9b are each arranged facing one another in the respective side wall 1a and 1b, so that their release lever 22 on one side of the drawer 5 or the locking device 9a,9b of the side wall 1a or 1b can advantageously be released using one hand. The actuation of the locking devices 9a,9b of the connection fittings 7a,7b is thus advantageously facilitated. The front panel 6 can advantageously be removed without tools.
Alternatively, a handle (not shown here) can also be provided to actuate the two separating levers 22 of the two locking devices 9a,9b simultaneously. The handle may also be arranged such that it is not necessary to displace or remove the housing 11a,11b of the side wall 1a,1 b. In this way, the front panel 6 can advantageously be removed completely without tools.
The structure of a particularly compactly constructed preferred locking device is described below on the basis of fig. 6a to 6 d.
The locking device 9a has a movably coupled spring-loaded locking lever 17, which locking lever 17 can be moved from a disengaged position to a locked position on a substrate 18.
In the respective mounted state of the locking means 9a or 9b or the side walls 1a,1b, the locking lever 17 is preferably always completely located within the side walls 1a,1b, so that no part of the locking means 9a extends into the front panel 6. In fig. 5a to 5d, in each case a housing 11b of the drawer 5 with the side wall 1b pushed back is shown. With a simple and thus advantageous displacement of the housing 11a,11b of the side wall 1b or 1a, respectively, the locking device 9a or 9b is advantageously hidden from view from the outside when the locking device 9a or 9b is in the locked position or when the front panel 6 is mounted.
The locking lever 17 (which is apparent in fig. 6a, 6b, in particular in fig. 6d) has a hook 29, the hook 29 being designed to engage behind a buttress or pin 14 on the support part or on the support 8 in the locked position of the locking means 9 a. The locking lever 17 is also mounted so that it is pivotable or rotatable relative to the base plate 18 on the bolt 27. The locking lever 17 also has a coupling (link) 28.
Mounting formations 19,20 (preferably hooks) are formed on the base plate 18 of the locking device 9a and on the locking lever 17, the mounting formations 19,20 being mountable on their ends (which may form mounting eyes) by springs, i.e. helical springs 21. In this way, the coil spring 21 pulls the lock lever 17 to the upper lock position. In the upper locking position, the hook 29 of the locking lever 17 engages behind a buttress on the support member or support means 8 in the mounted state to the front panel, whereby one panel-like member is secured to the second panel-like member, i.e. the panel 6 is secured to one side wall 1a or 1b at the front. In this way, the front panel 6 is detachably fixed to the side walls 1a,1 b.
The base plate 18 has an offset 30 (or step) extending over the entire longitudinal extent of the base plate 30, the offset 30 and the bore 31 forming a structural space for accommodating the helical spring 21. Furthermore, the base plate 18 has a plurality of recesses 33 on both longitudinal edges 32a,32b thereof, which serve to fasten the locking means 9a or 9b to the base plate 18 during the formation of the inner shell 10a,10b of the side wall 1a or 1 b.
The base plate 18 additionally has a keyhole-shaped recess 34, the recess 34 being geometrically formed such that it can accommodate the abutment or pin 14 on the support member or on the support device 8 or correspond to the abutment or pin on the support member or on the support device 8. Such a recess 34 prevents in a simple manner that the front panel 6 falls after the locking means 9a,9b have been separated. It is thus ensured that the front panel 6 can be manually separated simultaneously on both sides in a tool-free manner without risk.
The base plate 18 additionally has a coupling portion 35, and in the mounted state of the lock device 9a or 9b, a bolt 36 is engaged through the coupling portion 35, and the bolt 36 is also engaged through the coupling portion 28 of the lock lever 17 and the release lever 22. The release lever 22 thus has an operative connection with the locking lever 17.
The separating rod 22 preferably has an L-shape in side view. The release lever 22 has a lever arm 23 and a release arm 24, the release arm 24 being aligned at an angle to the lever arm 23, here almost perpendicular. The separating arm 24 is additionally formed with a step in a view perpendicular to the side view (see also fig. 6a and 6d for this purpose). The control surface 25 is arranged almost vertically when the locking means 9a is in the open position, between the lever arm 23 and the separating arm 24 in the angle enclosed by these arms. The release lever 22 is rotatably mounted to the base plate 18 by a bolt 37. In this case, the release lever 22 can advantageously be pretensioned in the locking position by a spring, so that an unintentional release of the release lever 22 from the locking position is prevented. In addition, the release lever 22 can also be pretensioned in the release position by a spring to assist the insertion of the support device 8 into the locking device 9a,9b of the side wall 1a,1 b.
During latching, i.e. during insertion of the support device 8, the release lever 22 on the control surface 25 is actuated by the pin 14, whereby the bolt 36 moves beyond the dead center position of the coupling 28. The locking lever 17 is thus released and pivots upwards due to the force of the helical spring 29, wherein the hook 29 of the locking lever 17 engages behind the pin 14. The locking means 9a,9b are thus locked and the front panel 6 is detachably secured to the side walls 1a,1 b.
The locking means 9b is formed and arranged similarly to the locking means 9a, but mirror-symmetrical thereto.
