At present, most mobile terminals have Enhanced CELL ID (E-CID) functions. In a specific implementation, the cell information list is included in the auxiliary positioning information issued by the positioning server, and the positioning server may issue the auxiliary positioning information more than once. Only the neighbor cells present in the cell list are likely to be enabled for neighbor cell measurements.

If the information of other cells is required to be obtained for assisting positioning at present, firstly, the signal intensity of the current cell is determined to be-74 dbm which is greater than the measurement threshold of the same-frequency cell, the measurement threshold of the different-frequency cell and the measurement threshold of the different-system cell, and then the cell measurement of the corresponding type can be realized by lifting the measurement threshold.
For example, the intra-frequency cell measurement threshold is increased from-75 dbm to a value greater than-74 dbm, so that the signal strength of the current cell is smaller than the corrected intra-frequency cell measurement threshold, and the physical layer can be triggered to start measuring the intra-frequency cell a1 in the cell information list. Likewise, the inter-system measurement threshold may also be set to a value greater than the current cell signal strength (i.e., -74dbm), thereby triggering the physical layer to measure inter-system cell C3 in the cell information list.
In another embodiment of the present invention, the current measurement threshold of the cell in the cell information list may also be cancelled to trigger the physical layer to start measuring the neighboring cell in the cell list.
For example, following the above example, if the neighboring cells in the cell information list are the intra-frequency cell a2 and the inter-system cell C3, the current measurement threshold of the intra-frequency cell and the current measurement threshold of the inter-system cell may be cancelled, that is, the start thresholds for the intra-frequency cell and the inter-system cell measurement are not set any more, so that the physical layer may be triggered to start the measurement of the intra-frequency cell a2 and the inter-system cell C3.
