Background
In addition to the conventional data transmission mode, a Multicast or Multicast mode is also introduced into a Long Term Evolution (LTE) system, and at this time, a base station may transmit data to multiple User Equipments (UEs) in a cell simultaneously, such as a Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service (MBMS) Service, where an MBMS Service area generally includes multiple cells, and in the multiple cells, a point-to-multipoint transmission radio resource is configured, so that all the User terminals subscribing to the MBMS Service can receive the same transmission signal simultaneously. The radio access network does not need to track the movement of the user terminal and the user can receive the MBMS service without notifying the network.
In Release 13 of 3GPP, a Single Cell Point to multipoint (SC-PTM) service is also introduced, allowing a multicast or multicast service to be implemented in a Single Cell. In this case, the user terminal does not need to inform the network to receive the multicast or multicast service.

Detailed Description
As described in the background art, in the prior art, no matter the MBMS service or the SC-PTM service, in a multicast or multicast service scenario, the base station cannot know whether a user terminal is receiving the multicast or multicast service or interested in the multicast or multicast service. Thus, when no user terminal is receiving or interested in the multicast or multicast service, the base station may continue to transmit the multicast or multicast service, which may result in a waste of wireless resources.
In the embodiment of the invention, when a base station sends a multicast or multicast service, the base station sends configuration information indicating an uplink feedback channel, a user terminal receiving the multicast or multicast service or a user terminal interested in the multicast or multicast service sends the feedback information on the uplink feedback channel according to the configuration information, and the base station can judge whether the user terminal receiving the multicast or multicast service or the user terminal interested in the multicast or multicast service exists or not by detecting a signal on the uplink feedback channel. By adopting the scheme of the embodiment, the base station can adjust the transmission of the multicast or multicast service according to the detection and judgment result, thereby avoiding or reducing the waste of wireless resources.
Furthermore, the embodiment of the present invention limits the power of the feedback information sent by a single user terminal to be lower than the preset power, so as to avoid the problem of excessive power on the physical resource block occupied by the uplink feedback channel when multiple user terminals send feedback information at the same time, that is, congestion of the uplink feedback channel due to the multiple user terminals sending feedback information at the same time is avoided.
In order to make the aforementioned objects, features and advantages of the present invention comprehensible, embodiments accompanied with figures are described in detail below.
Referring to fig. 1, fig. 1 illustrates a transmission method of a multicast or multicast service according to the present embodiment, which may be applied to a base station capable of transmitting the multicast or multicast service, for example, a base station in an LTE network. Further, the method may comprise the steps of:
step S11, sending configuration information indicating an uplink feedback channel;
step S12, detecting a signal on the uplink feedback channel to determine whether a target user terminal exists, where the target user terminal is a user terminal that is receiving the multicast or multicast service or a user terminal interested in the multicast or multicast service.
And the target user terminal sends feedback information on the uplink feedback channel according to the configuration information.
In addition, after the signal on the uplink feedback channel is detected, the transmission of the multicast or multicast service can be adjusted according to the detection result. For example, when it is detected that the power of the signal on the uplink feedback channel exceeds a preset threshold, it indicates that a user terminal is receiving or interested in a multicast or multicast service, and at this time, the transmission of the multicast or multicast service may be maintained; when the power of the signal on the uplink feedback channel is detected to be lower than the preset threshold, it indicates that no user terminal is receiving the multicast or multicast service or is interested in the multicast or multicast service, and at this time, the sending of the multicast or multicast service can be reduced or even not sent, so that the wireless resources can be saved.
The MBMS service is taken as an example and is explained in detail with reference to fig. 2.
In step S201, the base station 20 transmits an MBMS service. The MBMS service may be transmitted on a Multicast Channel (MCH). Among them, there are two types of logical channels that can be multiplexed and mapped to multicast channels: a Multicast Traffic Channel (MTCH) for carrying certain MBMS Traffic data; a Multicast Control Channel (MCCH) for carrying Control information necessary for one or more MBMS services, including, for example, subframe allocation, modulation and coding format of each Multicast traffic Channel, etc. Further, if a plurality of MBMS services need to be transmitted, a plurality of multicast traffic channels need to be configured.
The base station 20 may indicate related Information of the multicast control channel, such as a repetition period, a modification period, a subframe configuration, and the like, in a System message (SIB). The user terminal can obtain the scheduling information of the interested MBMS service by receiving the information on the multicast control channel, thereby receiving the interested MBMS service on the subframe indicated by the multicast control channel. MBMS services may be differentiated using, for example, Temporary Mobile Group Identity (TMGI).
When transmitting the MBMS service, the base station 20 may transmit configuration information indicating an uplink feedback channel together. For example, the base station 20 may transmit the configuration information indicating the uplink feedback channel through a system message (SIB) or a Multicast Control Channel (MCCH). Different MBMS services may have different configuration information, in other words, different MBMS services may have different uplink feedback channels.
The configuration information sent by the base station 20 may include: subframe information of the uplink feedback channel, such as subframe position, system frame number, etc.; frequency domain information of the uplink feedback channel, for example, position information of the physical resource block. In addition, the configuration information may further include: the signal format of the feedback information sent by the user terminal, for example, the generation mode of the signal; and the power configuration parameter when the user terminal sends the feedback information, such as the power compensation value of the transmission power or the path loss. The signal format and the power configuration parameters are optional and can be set in a mode predefined by a protocol.
In step S202, the user terminal (also referred to as a target user terminal, for example, a user terminal interested in the TGMI1 service) 21 receiving the MBMS service or interested in the MBMS service transmits feedback information on an uplink feedback channel corresponding to the TGMI1 service according to the indication of the configuration information sent by the base station 20. The content included in the feedback information sent by different user terminals 21 may be the same or different.
Further, for the ue 21 in the connection state, an uplink advance (TA) in the current connection state may be used when sending the feedback information; for the idle-state ue 21, the uplink advance may be set to 0 when it sends the feedback information. Alternatively, the uplink advance may be set to 0 when the feedback information is transmitted, regardless of whether the user terminal 21 is in the connected state or the idle state.
In step S203, the base station 20 may detect a signal on the uplink feedback channel to determine whether the target ue exists. For example, when the signal power on the uplink feedback channel exceeds a preset threshold, it may be determined that a target user terminal exists; when the signal power on the uplink feedback channel is less than the preset threshold, it can be determined that the target user terminal does not exist.
As a preferred embodiment, when sending the feedback information, the single target user terminal may control its transmission power to be lower than a preset power (e.g., power for sending PUCCH or power for sending PUSCH), or may control the compensation value of the path loss to be lower than a preset compensation value (e.g., the path loss compensation value used when sending PUCCH or the path loss compensation value used when sending PUSCH). Therefore, when a plurality of target user terminals in a certain cell send feedback information on the same uplink feedback channel (corresponding to the same physical resource block) at the same time, the congestion caused by overlarge signal power on the uplink feedback channel can be avoided. More specifically, in the prior art, the Physical Uplink Control Channel (PUCCH) adopts full power compensation, that is, the compensation value of the path loss is 1, while the Physical Uplink Shared Channel (PUSCH) adopts partial power compensation, that is, the compensation value of the path loss is 0.4, 0.5, and the like, and in this embodiment, the compensation value of the path loss may be preferably equal to or less than 0.1, and may be, for example, 0.1 or 0.05, and the like.
In step S204, the transmission of the MBMS service is adjusted according to the signal detection result on the uplink feedback channel. For example, if the result of the detection judgment is that there is no target user terminal, that is, there is no user terminal receiving or interested in the MBMS service, then the transmission of the MBMS service may be reduced or not scheduled, thereby saving the radio resources.
The example shown in fig. 2 is described by taking the MBMS service as an example, but it should be noted that the solution of the present embodiment is also applicable to other types of multicast or multicast services, such as SC-PTM service. In SC-PTM service, the only difference is that the base station can send configuration information indicating an uplink feedback channel through a multicast control channel (SC-MCCH) in single-cell point-to-multipoint service.
Referring to fig. 3, fig. 3 shows a transmission apparatus for multicast or multicast service according to the present embodiment, which is used for a base station capable of transmitting multicast or multicast service, such as a base station in an LTE network. The transmission device may include: a configuration information sending module 31, configured to send configuration information indicating an uplink feedback channel; a feedback signal detection module 32, configured to detect a signal on the uplink feedback channel to determine whether a target user terminal exists, where the target user terminal is a user terminal that is receiving the multicast or multicast service or a user terminal that is interested in the multicast or multicast service. And the target user terminal sends feedback information on the uplink feedback channel according to the configuration information.
The feedback signal detection module 32 may include: a power detection unit, configured to detect power of a signal on the uplink feedback channel; and the judging unit is used for judging that the target user terminal exists if the power of the signal exceeds a preset threshold, and otherwise, judging that the target user terminal does not exist.
Furthermore, the transmission apparatus may further comprise a service adjusting module 33, configured to adjust the transmission of the multicast or multicast service according to the detection result of the signal.
The transmission apparatus 300 shown in fig. 3 may be integrated in the base station or externally coupled to the base station. The transmission apparatus 300 can be implemented by software, hardware or a combination of software and hardware. For more details of the transmission apparatus 300, reference may be made to the foregoing description of the transmission method of the multicast or multicast service, and details are not repeated here.
Those skilled in the art will appreciate that all or part of the steps in the methods of the above embodiments may be implemented by associated hardware instructed by a program, which may be stored in a computer-readable storage medium, and the storage medium may include: ROM, RAM, magnetic or optical disks, and the like.
Although the present invention is disclosed above, the present invention is not limited thereto. Various changes and modifications may be effected therein by one skilled in the art without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as defined in the appended claims.
