技术领域

背景技术
本领域现有技术已经知晓用于驱动机动车轮的法兰式轮毂轴承单元。在EP0286151 A2、EP 1128078 A2和EP 1803948 A1中描述了某些示例。通常,汽车工业必须满足正在增长的有关降低燃料消耗和废气排放的要求。
发明内容

如前所述,带法兰且可旋转的内环30具有滚道31以及邻近于滚道31的圆柱轴向表面33,该圆柱轴向表面33面朝径向外部方向。圆柱表面33与圆环面(toroidal surface)34的一部分相切,该部分从轴向内侧位于法兰32的底部。圆环面34与径向表面35的一部分相切。

相对的表面37和63的同轴细长形状有利于在这两个表面之间确定圆柱或截头圆锥的通道67(meatus),其提高了迷宫密封的效果。因此,实现了蜿蜒的通道,其使污染物(水、灰尘、泥土)难以进入凸缘61。
当内环30相对于外环20旋转时,表面42的环形形状有利于水的逐出,甚至在水到达凸缘61的区域之前。接触凸缘60实现了针对污染物的附加屏障。另外,径向非接触凸缘66限定了两个腔68和69,第一腔68位于轴承内,而第二腔69由两个凸缘60、61以及法兰32的表面34、35界定。这两个腔68、69可填充有可为不同类型的润滑脂;径向凸缘66防止这两种不同类型的润滑脂的接触和混合。
除了确保屏蔽污染物进入轴承的良好性能外,本发明的解决方案在整个轮毂轴承单元的制造工艺方面具有进一步的优点。实际上,环30和法兰32的表面不受密封装置的凸缘滑动的影响,并且因此不要求特别高水平的机械加工来最小化表面粗糙度。由于单个接触或滑动凸缘的存在,滑动引起的摩擦被降低至最小程度,仅涉及第二金属插件70。
本发明不限于附图所示的密封装置的特定几何形状。例如,弹性密封52可形成额外的非接触凸缘59,其朝着可旋转内环30的法兰32延伸。
