Abstract

一种用于便携式计算机或其它电池供电的装置中的可再充电电池组,这种电池组可以在计算机内对它进行充电,或者,可以整个从装置中取出,通过把一个交流一直流转换器直接连到电池组上,在计算机外部向电池充电。这样就可以取出电池组代之以一个已充电的电池组,所以计算机就不会因电池组充电而搁置不用,而是可以在另一个电池组正在充电时把计算机带到野外使用。在本发明的电池组中有一个直流电源插口位于电池组上,此插口与在计算机外边上的直流插口相同。

Description

本发明涉及由电池供电的便携式电气装置,尤其涉及一种用于这种装置的电池组,和既可以允许便携式电气装置在野外使用,又可以同时对另一电池组进行充电的方便的充电***。
许多便携式计算机和其它便携式电子装置具有可拆下的、可再充电的电池组,电池组中含有若干电池。为了对这些电池组之一进行充电,人们可以把电池留在计算机或电气装置内对其进行充电,或者取出电池组,把它接到专门用于该电池组的外部的充电器上进行充电。
把电池就地在电气装置内对其进行充电是一种较容易的方法。这只要使用交流-直流转换器和电源插头就可以做到。这种交直流转换器和电源插头通常与装置一起出售,可以不用电池而向装置提供直流电,例如在墙上有交流电源插座的办公室内使用。
然而,这种充电方法有一定的局限性。这种局限性在于不能做到一个电池组与计算机或其它电气装置一起带到野外使用而另一个电池组同时被充电。
专门用于电池组的外部电池充电器可以做到当一个电池组连同计算机或其它装置带到野外使用时,在操作者的家中或办公室内可以对另一个或更多的电池组进行充电。然而,这就需要另外购买专用的电池充电器。
按照本发明,用于便携式计算机或其它便携式电气装置的电池组包括一个直接在电池组内的直流电源插口,在功能上它与在计算机或其它电气装置本身外壳的外部上的直流插口一样。电池组内的电池可以通过直接接到用于电气装置的交流-直流转换器进行充电,或者,把电池组置于计算机内,把交流-直流转换器***计算机来进行充电。因此,交流-直流转换器输入插头能使计算机(或其它装置)运行而不消耗机上电池;也能用来在计算机内对电池进行充电;或者一方面计算机用其它电池组进行工作一方面在计算机外对另一电池组进行充电。
购置电气装置时可以买两组电池组,当一个电池组在对用于野外的电气装置供电时,可以使用交流-直流转换器对另一电池组充电。
因此,本发明的目的之一在于,通过使电池组能使用与该装置一起供应的交流-直流转换器直接在电气装置外进行充电,为用户提供一独立的专用外部电池充电器的种种优点而用不着让用户去购买专门的电池充电器。
本发明的其他和进一步目的将通过下面的描述、权项以及附图的图解而变得更为明显,附图通过图示显示本发明的较佳实施例及其原理,以及应用这些原理设想的目前被认为是最佳的方式。熟悉本技术领域的技术人员可以使用其他实施例体现本发明的原理或等效的原理以及对实施例的结构作出种种变化,但这些实施例及结构的变化仍落在本发明和所附权项的精神实质的范围之内。
图1    是按照本发明原理的包括一个可在外部再充电的电池组的便携式计算机的一个例子的透视图。
图2    是已从计算机或其它电气装置上取下的电池组的透视图,它包括一个用于对电池组直接充电的直流输入插口。
在图中,图1示出了一种手提便携式计算机10作为便携式电气装置的一个例子,在其中,可使用按照本发明的电池组。该手提式计算机10例如可以是申请号为_,名称为“手提式计算机”的共同待批专利中所描述的那种计算机,该申请与本申请同一日申请,转让给与本发明相同的受让人,援引在此作为参考。
图1中,示出了该手提式计算机10,它具有一个可从计算机上取下的电池组面板12,电池组按照本发明制造。电池组面板12包括一个可释放的闩锁14,该闩锁14,可以通过用户手指啮合和按下来释放电池组,从而使它可从计算机中拉出。
图1    还示出计算机10具有一个直流输入插口16,该插口可以是常用的结构,通过它可以从变压器/整流器得到直流电,用于便携式计算机和其它便携式电气装置。当计算机在墙上有交流电源的家中或办公室内使用时,可以通过直流输入插口16向计算机10供电(经整流后)。它也能用来向在计算机内部的电池组中的电池再充电。
图2    示出了从计算机10或其它便携式电气装置上取下来的电池组20。面板12在图2的后面。
如图2所示,电池组20具有电触头22和24,用于与电气装置内的相应的电触头相啮合(连接),从而通向计算机10的印刷电路板。当触头22和24与装置相啮合时,触头22和24在电池组20中相连,从电池组中的可再充电的电池中取得电流从而取得电力供应。在电池组20中的电池可以是可再充电的镍镉电池。电池组20也可以放入标准干电池,如果它是按照申请号为_,名称为“电池盒”的共同待批申请制作的话。该申请与本申请同一日申请,转让给与本发明相同的受让人,援引在此作为参考。然而,本发明的电池组20不需要与援引的共同待批申请结构相似。虽然图2中的电池组的后部示出了包括触头22和24的五个触头,但这与共同等批申请所揭示的结构有关,如果需要,可以只提供两个触头。
本发明的中心特征在于电池组20有一个内装的直流输入插口26,并且暴露在电池组一边,如图2所示。此直流插口26在内部与连接电池的触头相连,以便向电池组20内的可再充式电池充电。直流输入插口26在功能上与图1中所示的在便携式计算机10或其它便携式电气装置边沿上的直流输入插口16完全相同。
图2还示出了一个交流-直流转换器28,它是普通的变压器/整流器类型,在电线32末端具有一直流电源插头30。直流电源插头30既可用于电池组输入插口26也可用于便携式电气装置上的直流输入插口16。
因此,可以看出,有了本发明,同一个交流直流转换器28可用来通过把转换器的输入插头***装置的外部直流插口16直接向便携式电气装置供电;或对电气装置内的、电池组中的可再充电电池进行充电;一旦电池组从设备10中取出,通过把直流输入插头30直接***电池组的直流输入插口26可以对电池组20中的电池进行再充电。
当转换器28用来对取出的电池组20再充电时,计算机10或其它便携式装置可以同时由另一电池组供电以便当另一电池组在充电时使它能在野外使用。这样,当一电池组正在再充电时,另一电池组可以在野外能使用,而不需要像通常那样必须另外购买一个专门的电池再充电器。在计算机上和在电池组上的功能完全相同的直流插口16和26由于结构相同可以通过同一个直流输入插头30实现这个功能。
虽然,我们对本发明的较佳实施例进行了图解和描述,但是,应当理解,这些实施例是能改变和变更的,因此,我们不希望为上述实施例细节所限制,我们希望把这些改变和变更纳入下列权利要求的范围之内。

Claims (2)

1、一用电池供电的便携式电气装置,该电气装置在装置的外壳上具有一个外部电池充电直流输入插口,用于接受(容纳)向该电池充电的充电器输入插头,其改进之处包括:
一个电池组,包含有可再充电电池和具有可从装置外壳上取出电池组的取出装置;
当电池组置于外壳内时,有一可以把在电气装置外壳上的外部插口电气连接到电池组内的可再充电电池的装置;和
在电池组上的再充电插口,在功能上类似于装置外壳外部的直流输入插口,当电池组从电气装置中取出后,用于直接接受(容纳)上述充电器输入插头,从输入插头把电流施加至电池组内的可充电电池;
因此,电池组可以从电气装置上取出,与充电器输入插头相连,在外部对电池组充电,或者,电池组留在装置内部,通过把充电器输入插头***装置外壳上的直流输入插口,向留在电气装置内部的可再充电电池充电。
2、如权利要求1所述的改进,进一步包括一个辅助的基本上相同的、具有电池单元的电池组,使两者在电气装置中可以互换使用,当一个已充电电池在电气装置中使用时,另一个可以在装置外部进行再充电。
