Abstract

技术领域及背景技术
无烟烟草制品可通过带有可拆除的金属或塑料盖部的圆形金属、塑料或纸板容器来包装和出售。一种新的发展是将包括袋装MST(鼻烟)在内的无烟烟草制品包装在具有铰接盖部的盒中。
由于鼻烟的粘性和枕形形状,使它在包装过程中的机器处理方面存在困难。装盒操作可以包括将所需部分(或份额或数量)放入袋中,然后将袋子放入盒或其他容器中。
包装的使用要求在袋子中创建“顶部空间”,以便制品的顶端不会卡在袋子的封口中。仅被部分填充的盒中存在顶部空间会影响盒的打开,并且妨碍了先头几件制品的轻松取出。后者的情况对于较小的盒、例如那些用于鼻烟的盒来说尤其如此。
希望实现可免于需要顶部空间并避免其缺点的包装方法和物品。
发明内容
在一优选实施例中,提供了一种用于高速包装散装制品的设备。所述设备包括装载站、盒形成站和卸载站。所述装载站包括成间隔关系的斜槽。每个斜槽具有开放顶部、开放上游端和开放下游端。所述开放顶部构造为当沿着第一进给路径移动时用于接收散装制品。
盒组建装置可操作用于组建成间隔关系且具有第一和第二开放侧的盒,并且当盒沿着第二进给路径行进时使每个盒的所述第一开放侧与对应斜槽的所述开放下游端对准,其中所述第二进给路径平行于所述第一进给路径。
所述卸载站包括与每个盒的所述第二开放侧连通的固定真空头。所述真空头沿着所述第二进给路径提供连续的真空源。优选地,所述卸载站还包括与所述斜槽的开放上游端连通的柱塞。在所述卸载站,散装制品在所述卸载站穿过所述开放下游端向所述盒输送。
在优选实施例中,所述设备还可包括:当所述斜槽放置在所述盒组建装置上时可操作以覆盖每个斜槽的所述开放顶部的盖部。还优选地,所述盖部包括至少一个进气口,所述进气口可操作用以从压缩空气源向每个斜槽输送空气,以便搅动包含在所述斜槽中的任何剩余散装制品,并从所述斜槽推送所述散装制品。

具体实施方式
如图1所示,在优选实施例中提供了鼻烟形成及包装***101,其优选地包括斜槽(或桶)装载站30、盒组建站40和斜槽卸载站50。优选地,在斜槽装载站30处将散装制品122(图2中示出)装入斜槽,在盒组建站40处对盒进行至少部分的组建,并且在斜槽卸载站50处将散装制品122从各个斜槽输送到对应的盒中。
在该优选实施例中,散装制品122包括诸如在2011年7月19日公告的共有美国专利No.7,980,251和2011年5月31公告的美国专利No.7,950,399中所述的口用烟草或非烟草袋装(pouch)制品,其全部内容通过引用并入本文。
优选地,在袋装形成装置10处形成袋装制品,该袋装形成装置可以是高速的立式形成、填充及密封装置或其他合适的袋装形成装置。在优选实施例中,袋装形成装置例如是可从德国Merz Verpackungmachinen有限公司获得的立式填充机器。其他合适的机器可以从美国阿拉巴马州的Ropak制造公司等采购。
在形成之后,将袋装制品运送到袋装分配器20上,该袋装分配器20将预定数量的袋装制品分配到单个杯225(图7A、7B和图10中示出)中。优选地,该预定数量选择为与放置在单个消费包装中的袋装制品的数量相一致。在优选实施例中,袋装分配器20包括设置在Merz机器上的分配器。
现在参考图10,杯225优选地包括由硬塑料构造而成的杯状体,该硬塑料的比例类似于市场上可获得的鼻烟容器(诸如是散装湿鼻烟烟草的包装)的底部的硬塑料比例。杯225的这种构造提升了杯225与鼻烟装载及罐装机以及相关输送器的兼容性。在优选实施例中,每个杯225设有环形凹槽297,该环形凹槽优选地邻近杯的基底,但是也可以实施在其他位置。每个杯在其顶部299处敞开,并设有足够容量来容纳预定的期望数量(或份额)的鼻烟制品。

星形轮500优选地连续移动并包括多个爪部501,其中随着销506的回缩(销的回缩与轮500的旋转同步)而将杯225从斜槽505中释放出来,每个爪部与杯225的后侧啮合。导轨(引导件)508将每个杯引导为与所到达的钩件227成相交关系。导轨508的端部510与轮500的作业表面间隔开,使得各个杯225暂时保持在轻微压缩的状态下,从而所到达的钩件227绕着杯225的凹槽297(见图10)与杯啮合并扣紧。位于钩件227的基部处的偏置锁销510确保将杯225可释放地保持在钩件227上。
优选地,当每个杯225处于斜槽120的上方时,钩件227按顺序、一次一个地翻转杯225,从而将散装制品122倾倒进位于杯225的下方并与之连续移动的斜槽120的开放顶部124中。空杯将返回袋装分配器20处,并且进行再次填充。备选地,可以通过其他方法和机构将袋装制品移动至斜槽装载站30。例如,预定数量的袋装制品可以在斜槽装载站30处直接从袋装形成装置10直接地放置到斜槽120中。也可以构思出具有活板门及其他便利构造的机构。
在斜槽装载站30中,多个斜槽120沿着连续的回路水平地移动,使得每个斜槽120在斜槽装载站30重复地装载散装制品,并且在卸载站50将散装制品卸载。在优选实施例中,斜槽120以间隔开的关系沿着第一进给路径4行进,并且可释放地附接于水平地沿着斜槽装载站30与斜槽卸载站50之间的直线路径行进的输送器上。一旦在卸载站50处将斜槽120卸载,则输送器向回调转,以便将斜槽120返回至斜槽装载站30的上游端514。
优选地,每个斜槽120(图2和3中示出)均装有来自单个杯225(图7中示出)的散装制品。然后,斜槽120沿着第一进给路径4移动至斜槽卸载站50,在卸载站中将散装制品从斜槽120输送到对应的盒44中。
如图3所示,每个斜槽120具有开放的顶部124、开放的上游端126和开放的下游端128。开放顶部124的大小和结构设置为随着斜槽120沿第一进给路径4的移动和杯225沿第三进给路径502的移动而允许高速地将散装制品122放置到斜槽120中。而且,开放顶部124可包括围绕该开放顶部124的外周延伸的大致垂直的侧壁164和倾斜端壁125、127。侧壁164可以某角度形成以便形成漏斗,其中散装制品122随着进入斜槽120而穿过该漏斗。而且,侧壁164可优选为高度约0.5英寸至约3.0英寸。

现在参考图7B,每个钩件227优选为受制于凸轮从动件851的动作;当该凸轮从动件进入到引导件855的凹陷853中时,会引起钩件227翻转。然后,杯225与此刻正引导杯225的钩件227一起以上下颠倒的关系继续前进。这种关系一直维持到由导轨或其他合适机构将杯225从钩件上卸到输送器上为止,其中该输送器以上下颠倒的状态将杯225返回至袋装分配器20。上下颠倒状态的返回输送可免于收集灰尘或污物,并且确保对下一装载周期来说杯是空的。袋装分配器20包括导轨,从而在杯225重新装载之前将每个杯225翻转成朝向右上方。
在斜槽120装载散装制品122的同时或前后,在盒组建站40处对盒44(图2中示出)进行至少部分的组建。在优选实施例中,每个盒44是诸如在2011年12月14日提交的共有美国非临时专利申请序号No.13/325,803所述的那种侧载式内盒,该申请的全部内容通过引用并入本文。备选地,盒44可通过顶部或底部开口进行装载,或者盒44可以是外包装箱。
在优选实施例中,盒坯件处于平展的状态下,其中顶板和前板与底板和背板重叠并相连,并且防尘翼片159和侧翼片160布置在平展的坯件的总平面内。
优选地,旋转式坯件进料器42从料斗43进给盒坯件。如图2和6所示,沿着基本上平行于第一进给路径4的第二进给路径8来对每个坯件162进行组建,以形成盒44。一旦盒44组建好,推折器(plow)和打褶器(tucker)向外展开防尘翼片159与侧翼片160,以便露出第一开放侧150和第二开放侧152。然后,组建起来的盒44沿着第二进给路径8向斜槽卸载站50移动。
在优选实施例中,盒组建站40还包括输送器400(在图2中示出),用于沿着第二进给路径8移动盒44。优选地,盒组建装置还包括支承杆506(在图9中示出),当盒44沿第二进给路径8行进时可操作该支承杆,用以维持所组建的盒44敞开。
优选地,第二进给路径8以与第一进给路4相同的速度、与其大致平行地行进,使得每个盒44具有相应的斜槽120,其中盒与斜槽在斜槽卸载站50处配合。因此,在斜槽卸载站50处,盒44的第二开放侧152与斜槽120的下游端128对准,而盒的第一开放侧150邻近或接触真空头200的表面200。
现在,参考图2和9,一旦斜槽120到达斜槽卸载站50,则斜槽120在固定盖部105下方行进,该固定盖部105可与开放顶部124的上边缘95和/或斜槽120的侧壁164接触。通常,盖部105不构成密封件,但基本上可关闭斜槽120的开放顶部124。优选地,盖部105包括多个间隔开的进气口110,其中当每个进气口从盖部105下方通过时,每个进气口均与斜槽120的开放顶部124成一行。优选地,进气口110连接到向斜槽120提供空气脉冲的压缩空气源112上。优选地,空气脉冲根据斜槽120在进气口110下方的对准来定时。随着采用真空,空气脉冲搅动放置在斜槽120内的散装制品122,以确保将总预定数量的散装制品122从斜槽120输送到敞开的盒44的范围内。搅动也可以确保制品不会形成制品阻挡块或在斜槽120上“搭桥”。可以通过机械机构(例如,振动板或销钉)或机电机构(例如,超声波器件)来替代地实现搅拌,或着以此来辅助搅拌。在优选实施例中,当包装鼻烟时,空气脉冲优选地约为2或3psi(磅/平方英寸)。
还优选地,卸载站50包括可与每个盒44的第二开放侧150连通的固定真空头200。在优选实施例中,当包装鼻烟时,真空头200长度为约1英尺至约4英尺,并且当施加抽吸操作时,每个盒44沿着真空头200的长度行进。
在优选实施例中,真空源102包括与真空头(气室)200相连的真空泵,从而沿着第二进给路径8提供连续的真空源。当包装袋装鼻烟时,真空泵优选地能够以约每分钟300至500立方英尺范围内的速率吸入空气。在实际中,10马力的真空泵(具有420立方英尺/分的速率并且抽真空能力为100英寸水柱)应该足以用于鼻烟制品。这种机构在每个盒44的第二开放侧150处为通过真空头200的制品提供了足够的真空,从而将散装制品122从斜槽120拉入到每个盒44的内部,而基本上不会挤压到该制品。
在优选实施例中,如图5所示,真空头(气室)200具有包括筛部的表面100,该筛部具有大小设置为当施加真空时可基本上防止散装制品122吸入到真空头200中的开口。
优选地,真空气室200位于将散装制品122从杯225放入斜槽120的操作位置的下游。优选地,制品的搅动随着真空开始通过斜槽120传递到制品122上时发生。
在优选实施例中,大约一次有3个斜槽120进行卸载。然而,一次可以有更多或更少的斜槽120进行卸载,这取决于真空头200的长度和斜槽120之间的间距。
此外,在优选实施例中,如图2所示,斜槽120的开放上游端126的尺寸设置为可接受柱塞114穿过其中。优选地,装置包括沿着第四进给路径505行进的多个柱塞114。在优选的实施例中,具有三个柱塞。柱塞114作往复式运动,并且在施加抽吸操作并基本上将散装制品122从斜槽120移入到盒44中之后向前移动至位置B’(图4中示出)。每个柱塞114均向前移动并穿过每个对应的斜槽120,从而使得柱塞114仅稍微进入相应的盒44中,优选为仅进入约2mm至约4mm。柱塞不再进一步深入到盒44中,以避免对散装制品122的挤压。在移入盒44之后,柱塞114随后与斜槽120一起向位置B’’移动,此后,其移出斜槽120向位置B’’’移动,并其最终回到柱塞114等候下一相应斜槽120的初始位置B’’’’。在优选实施例中,三个柱塞与其所对应的斜槽一起移动,并一起返回到位置B’’。柱塞的动作确保了制品远离斜槽120,并且完全地输送到的敞开盒的内部空间中。
一旦盒44被散装制品122填充,则在盒折叠站60中可任选地将盒的防尘侧和翼片159、160粘合并折叠,从而关闭盒44并且可任选地对其进行密封。然后,在盒检测站70对盒44进行检测,从而对孔洞、不当密封等进行查验。
如图8所示,盒44然后可以行进到附加包装站80,在包装站80处可将盒44放置在外箱82中。此外,外包装可以施加到外箱82上,以保持散装制品122的新鲜度。外包装可以由任何合适的塑料或箔材料形成。同时,用于向斜槽输送制品的杯返回到袋装分配器20。
通过上述这种构造,可以更完整、统一、均匀且高效地将散装制品放置到容器内的方式将鼻烟和其他散装制品装载到盒或其他容器中。由此避免了不希望且难处理的顶部空间。较小的容器也可用于相同量的制品,这可以显著地节省包装材料以及零售店展示制品所需的空间。该构造提供了高速的生产能力,特别是袋装鼻烟制品的装盒能力。
在另一优选实施例中,提供了一种以散装制品对盒进行填充或装载的方法。概况地说,该方法包括建立包装结构的队列,其中每个包装结构均具有第一开口和第二开口以及内部空间或容积。建立包装结构的队列还可包括折叠包装的展开翼片。此外,该方法包括重复建立预定数量的散装制品,并且重复地将所述数量放置在邻近所述第一开口的位置上。这种重复定量放置的做法可包括将散装制品装载到成间隔关系的斜槽中。每个斜槽具有开放顶部、开放上游端和开放下游端。开放顶部可在沿着第一进给路径移动时***作,以用于接收散装制品。该方法还包括将成间隔关系的盒排成一线,其中每个盒具有第一开放侧和第二开放侧,并且当盒沿着第二进给路径移动时将每个盒的第一开放侧与对应斜槽的开放下游端对准。优选地,第二进给路径平行于第一进给路径。
还优选地,该方法包括:通过经由每个盒的第二开放侧来施加或连通真空,将所放置的定量散装制品从每个斜槽输送或卸载到对应盒的内部空间中,从而将散装制品从斜槽拉入到盒中。输送步骤还可包括沿着真空气室移动敞开的包装。
优选地,通过连通真空来输送散装制品的步骤包括在施加真空时搅动散装制品。在优选实施例中,该方法可包括:随着或先于真空的施加,用盖部来覆盖每个斜槽的开放顶部,并且在盖部中设置可操作用以从压缩空气源向每个斜槽递送空气的至少一个进气口,从而在施加真空时搅动制品。
优选地,该方法还可以包括:通过使柱塞穿过斜槽的上游端、穿过斜槽的下游端并进入到相应的盒中来清理斜槽或通道或错位制品,从而确保散装制品完全输送到盒中。优选地,柱塞仅略微进入盒的内部,以便避免或最小化对制品造成的机械挤压。还优选地,柱塞塞入到所组建的盒中约2mm至约4mm。
当制品已装入盒中,该方法还包括关闭盒的第一开口和第二开口。
在本说明书中,词语“约”通常与数字值连接使用,以表明这些值的数学精度并非意图所在。相应地,其意图在于在“约”与数值一起使用的地方,认为该数字的公差为±10%。
尽管上面参考了特定实施例来详细描述用于包装散装制品的设备和方法,但本领域技术人员显而易见的是,可以对该设备和方法采用各种变化和修改及其等同项,其实质上并不背离本发明的精神和范围。
Claims (24)
1.一种用散装制品来填充包装的方法,包括:
建立包装结构的队列,所述包装结构具有第一开口、第二开口以及内部空间;
重复地建立预定数量的散装制品,并且重复地将能水平移动的相应斜槽内的该数量的制品放置在邻近所述第一开口的位置上;
通过经由所述第二开口来连通真空,使得当搅动所述邻近的预定数量制品时将所述放置的预定数量制品穿过通道输送到所述内部空间中;
关闭所述第一开口和第二开口,以及
在所述关闭步骤之前,通过与相应的能移动的斜槽一起运动的柱塞来清理所述通道的错位制品。
2.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其中,建立队列的步骤包括对每个包装的展开翼片进行折叠,并且所述输送步骤包括沿着真空气室移动敞开的包装。
3.一种用于包装散装制品的设备,所述设备包括:
装载站,所述装载站包括成间隔关系的可移动斜槽,其中每个斜槽具有开放顶部、开放上游端和开放下游端,所述开放顶部构造为当所述斜槽沿着第一进给路径移动时用于接收散装制品;
盒组建装置,其能操作以部分地组建成间隔关系且具有第一和第二开放侧的盒,并且当所述盒沿着第二进给路径行进时使每个盒的所述第一开放侧与对应斜槽的所述开放下游端对准,其中所述第二进给路径平行于所述第一进给路径;和
卸载站,其包括固定真空头和一组柱塞,所述固定真空头与每个盒的所述第二开放侧连通,以便所述真空头沿着所述第二进给路径来提供连续的真空力,所述真空力对沿着所述第二进给路径行进的每个盒的内部施加抽吸力,并且在所述卸载站处,所述一组柱塞与相应的所述斜槽一起运动,所述一组柱塞操作能作为进入所述斜槽的开放上游端,并经由所述开放下游端将来自各个斜槽的散装制品喷射到相应的盒中。
4.根据权利要求3所述的设备,其中,还包括能***作以在所述斜槽放置在所述盒组建装置上时覆盖每个斜槽的所述开放顶部的盖部。
5.根据权利要求4所述的设备,其中,所述盖部包括能***作以从压缩空气源向每个斜槽的所述顶部开口输送空气的至少一个进气口。
6.根据权利要求3所述的设备,其中,所述斜槽的内表面包括不粘涂层。
7.根据权利要求3所述的设备,其中,所述能移动的斜槽接收包含袋装鼻烟的散装制品,并且所述真空头包括筛部,所述筛部具有大小基本上能防止散装制品被吸入所述真空头中的开口。
8.根据权利要求3所述的设备,其中,所述一组柱塞与所述斜槽的开放上游端对准地从第一上游位置向第二下游位置运动,并且返回到所述第一上游位置以装载另一组盒。
9.根据权利要求3所述的设备,其中,所述装载站包括能***作以将含有袋装鼻烟的散装制品顺序地倾倒在相应斜槽的所述开放顶部中的多个容器,所述容器以与沿所述第一进给路径移动的斜槽相同的速度沿着第三进给路径移动。
10.根据权利要求3所述的设备,其中,所述盒组建装置包括用于沿着所述第二进给路径移动所组建的盒的输送器。
11.根据权利要求3所述的设备,其中,所述盒组建装置包括当所组建的盒沿着所述第二进给路径行进时用以保持所述盒敞开的支承杆,并且所述散装制品包括袋装烟草。
12.一种用散装制品对盒进行装载的方法,包括:
依次将预定数量的散装制品装载到成间隔关系的可移动斜槽中,其中每个斜槽具有开放顶部、开放上游端和开放下游端,所述开放顶部当沿着第一进给路径移动时用于接收散装制品;
组建成间隔关系的盒,其中每个盒在其相对侧处具有敞开的第一开放侧与第二开放侧;
当所述盒沿着第二进给路径行进时使每个盒的第一开放侧与对应斜槽的所述开放下游端对准,其中所述第二进给路径平行于所述第一进给路径;
通过经由每个盒的所述第二开放侧来施加真空,将散装制品从各个斜槽中卸载到相应盒中,从而将散装制品从所述斜槽拉入到所述盒中,以及
经由通道来输送所述预定数量的散装制品,并且在关闭所述盒之前,通过与相应的斜槽一起运动的柱塞来清理所述通道的错位制品。
13.根据权利要求12所述的方法,其中,还包括使所述柱塞穿过斜槽的上游端、穿过斜槽的下游端并进入到相应盒中,从而辅助散装制品到盒中的输送。
14.根据权利要求12所述的方法,其中,还包括在施加抽吸操作之前用盖部来覆盖每个斜槽的所述开放顶部,并且经由所述盖部中的进气口将空气从压缩空气源向每个斜槽输送。
15.根据权利要求13所述的方法,其中,所述柱塞塞入所组建的盒中2mm至4mm。
16.根据权利要求12所述的方法,其中,所述散装制品包括至少一个烟草袋装制品和非烟草袋装制品。
17.根据权利要求12所述的方法,其中,还包括通过真空头向每个盒的第二开放侧施加抽吸力,其中所述真空头具有1英尺至4英尺的长度和带有筛部的表面,所述筛部具有大小设置为能防止散装制品吸入到所述真空头中的开口,所述柱塞往复运动,并且真空源对所述盒的内部施加2磅至3磅的真空压力。
18.根据权利要求12所述的方法,其中,当装载时对所述盒进行均匀填充并使所述盒无顶部空间。
19.根据权利要求12所述的方法,其中,一组柱塞与所述斜槽的开放上游端对准地从第一上游位置向第二下游位置运动,并且返回到第一上游位置以装载另一组的盒。
20.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其中,所述散装制品包括多个口用的非烟草袋装制品和烟草袋装制品。
21.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其中,所述搅动所述邻近的预定数量制品包括机械式振动所述邻近的预定数量制品。
22.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其中,包括一次将三个或更多个所放置的预定数量制品穿过相应的通道输送到相应的内部空间中。
23.根据权利要求3所述的设备,其中,所述一组柱塞包括与相应的斜槽一起运动的至少三个柱塞,其中所述一组柱塞操作为进入所述斜槽的开放上游端,并一次将来自各个斜槽的至少三个相应预定数量的散装制品喷射到至少三个相应的盒中。
24.根据权利要求12所述的方法,其中,通过经由每个盒的所述第二开放侧来施加真空,将至少三个预定数量的散装制品从各个斜槽中卸载到相应盒中,从而将散装制品从所述斜槽拉入到所述盒中。
