背景技术
数字白板,有时称为交互白板,是大型计算机屏幕或其投影图像,教师使用手指姿势或通过在投影图像或屏幕上方移动特殊的触笔或任何类型的物体,可以在该大型计算机屏幕或其投影图像上模拟鼠标控制。通常,这些图像和屏幕非常大。典型的数字白板大约1.2米高、1.6米宽,这产生大约80英寸的屏幕。在一些情形下,数字白板甚至更大。
通常在教育环境中使用数字白板,在教育环境中数字白板取代基于粉笔的黑板和传统的白板。数字白板是教师最重要的工具之一。
关于数字白板产生的困难来自于其受限的尺寸。对于每半小时教学,教师通常需要最小四米长的板。在此教学期间,教师可以将批注和注释填满整个板。
因为大多数计算机应用将工具栏横跨放置在显示器的顶部,因此,传统的数字白板尺寸受限。虽然在传统的计算机显示器上可以访问这些工具栏,但是这些工具栏通常在教师可及的范围之外。因此,数字白板通常具有有限的高度,通常小于1.90米。
为了保持其边缘处于大约1.9米的教师通常可及的范围内,具有如上指定尺寸的数字白板将被放置为离地板70cm。这种放置导致以下困难:
第一,大多数白板将过低以至于其不能被整个班级看到。
第二,许多教师将发现当书写时他们自己站在投影仪的前面,因此投***影。结果,这些教师将不能够看到他们自己的笔迹。
第三,当教师转过来面对学生时,来自投影仪光的眩光令人不舒服。
最后,大多数教师将发现在白板的有限部分上、通常在视平线的20-30cm之间的窄带中书写是舒服的。在具有上面指定的尺寸的数字白板中,教师将只有方便书写的0.5平方米的白板区域。在大多数情形下,这不够教师工作所用。
如图1所示,当升高白板时,前述困难在一定程度上消失。然而,当白板升高时,教师不能容易地在其可及范围以上书写。通过提供多个具有使得面板能够上下移动的轨道的面板,可以避免该困难。然而,这是昂贵和麻烦的选择。
发明内容
本发明提供允许数字白板更接近地模拟常规白板、但是具有另外的全功能虚拟个人计算机(PC)接口的数字白板接口。该虚拟个人计算机接口可以像任何计算机应用一样在该虚拟白板上移动或调整尺寸。
此外,可以使用操作为绝对指示器位置或相对指示器位置的鼠标指示器。通过点击鼠标按钮或虚拟按钮,例如,通过点击图标或以特定方式作出姿势,可以作出从一个到另外一个的改变。鼠标的可用性对于一些图标在教师的可及范围之外的大型数字白板是有用的。
在一个方面中,本发明的特征在于一种用于使其用户能够在优选的位置处书写的数字白板***。这样的***包括配置成与计算机协作的数字白板,在操作中,所述数字白板被划分为多个虚拟面板;其中,该数字白板设置工具栏和菜单栏;其中,该数字白板被配置成允许用户通过拖拽连续滚动条来向上或向下移动虚拟面板;并且其中,该虚拟面板沿与拖拽滚动条的方向相同的方向移动。
本发明的实施例还包括如下实施例:其中,滚动条将虚拟面板划分为矩形;其中,滚动条横向移动虚拟面板;以及其中,数字白板被配置成显示窗口,窗口上面是来自计算机的显示的拷贝。
在本发明的一些实施例中,还包括在作为绝对位置指示器的操作和作为相对位置指示器的操作之间切换的鼠标。

具体实施方式
本发明包括与计算机协作的数字白板。该数字白板在教师的手可及的范围内设置工具栏和菜单栏。这些工具可设置在屏幕的底部或屏幕的侧面、或浮动在屏幕上。
许多传统的白板的特征在于沿轨迹或轨道上下移动的多个面板。这里描述的数字白板模拟这样的白板。
通过向上或向下移动虚拟面板,教师可以将数字白板的虚拟面板保持在用于书写的优选的高度处。这可以通过拖拽以与传统滚动条如何操作相反的方式操作的连续滚动条完成。具体地,如图2所示,虚拟面板沿与拖拽滚动条的方向相同的方向移动。滚动条本身可以被移动到白板上的不同位置,以使得教师可以将滚动条设置到人体工程学的优选的位置。
作为对竖直滚动条的替选或附加,数字白板还可以显示水平滚动条。水平滚动条可以帮助教师组织白板。使用适当的预定义姿势,教师可以将滚动条放置在数字白板的任何位置。结果,教师能够以与他们在真实的可移动的白板中移动面板的方式相同的方式来移动虚拟面板。
在2.4米×1.6米的数字白板中,滚动条可以将面板划分为1.2米×0.8米的矩形。通过拖拽竖直滚动条,教师可以将虚拟面板设置在最佳高度处。如果有一个水平滚动条可用,则通过拖拽水平滚动条,教师可以调整面板的横向位置。
一般而言,数字白板的上边缘可以在地板以上2.2米高或更高。结果,因为延伸跨过白板的顶部的菜单可能超出教师的可及范围,教师将不可能操作大多数以传统方式显示为白板上的投影图像的计算机应用。
为了解决上述问题,可以提供能够在作为绝对指示器比如数字白板上的标准指示器和作为相对指示器(类似于计算机上的标准指示器)之间切换的鼠标。为了在这两种操作模式之间进行切换,数字白板上的用户接口提供数字白板上的菜单栏或工具栏或其他任何地方上的图标。如果教师启动这个图标,则鼠标从一种模式切换到另一种模式。该切换功能也可以通过指示器上的按钮实现。
当用作绝对指示器时,教师例如可以容易地书写注释或控制附近的工具。另一方面,当用作相对指示器时,教师可以使用指示器到达仅通过在附近的虚拟鼠标垫上移动鼠标通常够不到的图标,完全如同教师在传统的计算机接口上所做的那样。无论在哪一种情形下,可以通过姿势、例如通过在相同的位置上双击数字白板来完成鼠标按下(mouse down)状态。
另一种为教师提供必要的可及的方式是提供当被按下时使得出现新窗口的图标。在没有白板接口的情况下,这个新窗口显示计算机屏幕的拷贝。然后,教师可以访问虚拟计算机屏幕和其所有功能。这包括在该虚拟屏幕各处移动鼠标指示器和控制计算机的功能。
可以如同其他计算机窗口一样,上述虚拟计算机屏幕可以在数字白板各处移动,以及调整尺寸。因此,当教师在虚拟计算机屏幕附近作出批注时,他们可以在数字白板上播放视频或显示演示文稿。例如,如图5所示,教师可以从该虚拟计算机中复制地图,并将其粘贴到数字白板中。
如图6所示,在双屏幕中,数字白板应用显示在第二屏幕中,并且虚拟计算机显示在第一屏幕中,该虚拟计算机是其上设置有不可见层以控制鼠标位置的主屏幕拷贝。数字白板***允许使用上述两种解决方案,这样教师可以选择他喜欢的一个。
作为一个示例,图7中的图片(1)示出了2.5米×1.6米的数字白板的推荐***。滚动条位于将白板划分成两个0.8×2.5米的矩形面板的竖直线处。菜单栏或工具栏的拷贝位于右侧,每个矩形面板中有一个。
在图7的图片(2)中,虚拟计算机屏幕已被添加到数字白板。图7的图片(3)、(4)和(5)示出了面板如何向上或向下移动。
图8示出了数字白板可以如何安装在教室里的墙壁上。外框是白板的边界。内框是数字白板上的投影图像的边界。可以通过改变投影仪角度来调整这个边界的高度。
在大多数情况下,数字白板***的主要成本在于板自身后面的电子设备。该板的成本因此正比于其面积。使用本文中所描述的***提供了一种降低该成本的方法。具体地,由于教师不需要使用绝对位置鼠标指示器,也不能够在整个板上手写,并且因为无论如何数字白板的更多部分超出教师的可及范围,那些超出可及范围的白板区域在其后面不需要具有任何电子设备。结果,在不增加其价格的情况下,可以产生更大的数字白板。
图9示出了这里描述的数字白板***如何减少由于正面投影教师在数字白板上所投射的阴影面积。
图10给出了更详细地显示菜单栏和工具栏的数字白板***的更详细的视图。

Claims (5)

1.一种用于使其用户能够在优选的位置处书写的数字白板***,所述***包括:
数字白板,被配置成与计算机协作,在操作中所述数字白板被划分成多个虚拟面板;
其中,所述数字白板设置工具栏和菜单栏;
其中,所述数字白板被配置成允许用户通过拖拽连续滚动条来向上或向下移动虚拟面板;并且
其中,所述虚拟面板沿与拖拽滚动条的方向相同的方向移动。
2.根据权利要求1所述的***,其中所述滚动条将所述虚拟面板划分为矩形。
3.根据权利要求1所述的***,其中所述滚动条横向移动所述虚拟面板。
4.根据权利要求1所述的***,还包括在作为绝对位置指示器的操作和作为类似的相对位置指示器的操作之间切换的鼠标。
5.根据权利要求1所述的***,其中所述数字白板被配置成显示窗口,窗口上面是来自所述计算机的显示的拷贝。
