Abstract

Description

电子烟
技术领域
本发明涉及电子烟装置(或简称为电子烟),更具体地讲涉及电子香烟。本发明还涉及用在电子烟装置中的气流流量和流向检测器。
背景技术
电子烟装置,例如电子香烟,为吸烟者提供了一种吸烟替代品。电子烟是一种非明火吸烟装置,通常包含一个电池供电的加热器,用于在被使用者起动时雾化液态尼古丁或尼古丁替代品。通常当使用者通过该电子烟吸气来模拟吸烟动作时,控制器会自动起动该加热器。在电子烟中通常都含有吸气检测器,并且控制器(例如数字信号处理器(DSP))会在吸气检测器检测到吸气行为时起动加热器。图1显示了一种传统电子香烟的等效电路示意图。
传统电子烟装置的吸气检测器通常包含一个结构类似于如图2所示的传统麦克风电容器(condenser)的气流感应器。典型地,传统电子烟的气流感应器包含如图2的示意图所示布置的一个具有膜和背板的可变电容器(Cs)、一个预充电的驻极体层(Vs)、和结型场效应晶体管(JFET)。布置吸烟电路的DSP以在气流感应器检测到振动时自动起动加热器,其中,假设振动由于吸气行为发生而产生。然而这种布置并不是很可靠,这是因为经常会出现错误起动,尤其是在嘈杂的环境中。此外,由于需要JFET级放大振动膜检测到的信号,并且由于驻极体层要与背板相结合以形成参考电容表面,从而使得传统气流感应器的结构相对复杂,也比较昂贵。
因此,为电子烟提供一种改进的气流感应器是有利的。
在本说明书中,术语电子烟和电子烟装置是等同的,并且在不失一般性的情况下,电子烟装置包含人们所熟知的电子香烟、电子雪茄、电子烟、私人喷雾器等。
发明内容
根据本发明,提供了一种电子烟装置,该电子烟装置包含吸气检测器、吸烟效果生成电路和控制器,其中吸气检测器包括用于检测通过该电子烟装置的气流的流向和流量的气流感应器,以及该控制器用以当气流流向与通过该装置进行吸气一致且气流流量达到预定阈值时,操作所述吸烟效果生成电路以生成吸烟效果,且其中气流感应器形成控制器的振荡电路的一部分。所述控制器还用于测量振荡器电路的振荡频率以确定气流的流量和流向。这种电子烟缓解了由于环境振动、噪声或者小孩玩耍时向该装置吹气而导致的无意触发的问题。
在一个实施例中,气流感应器可以包含挡气板表面,该挡气板表面适于响应于通过该装置的气体的运动而发生变形,通过控制器测量该挡气板表面的变形程度以确定通过该装置的气流的流向和流量。在一个预定的时段内测量该变形,可以进一步降低由于振动或环境噪声而无意触发的风险。
作为一个例子,可以测量气流感应器的电容或者电容的变化,以确定挡气板表面变形的程度。
在一个实施例中,气流感应器包括刚性或半刚性的导电膜,该导电膜以间隔方式安装在导电背板上方,且控制器用于测量气流感应器的电容或电容的变化。因为控制器或处理器通常需要操作电子烟装置的加热器,所以通过处理器来测量电容或电容的改变就成为了具有出人意料的成本效益的解决方案。
作为另一个例子,控制器用于测量振荡器电路的振荡频率以确定气流流量和流向。因为振荡器电路(尤其是LC振荡器电路)的振荡频率取决于电容值,该实例就为成本效益解决方案提供了一种低成本且紧凑的解决方案。
在一个实施例中,控制器通过测量振荡器电路的瞬间振荡频率以确定电容量或电容的变化量。
在另一个实施例中,控制器通过测量振荡器电路的瞬间振荡频率和中性状态频率相比较的变化量以确定电容量或电容的变化量。
作为一个例子,气流流量的预定阈值可以与使用者通过该装置进行典型吸烟行为时的流量相对应。这可以避免由于恶作剧或意外振动或噪声而触发吸烟效果生成电路。
在一个实施例中,气流感应器可以包含导电的挡气板表面,该挡气板表面与基础导电表面间隔开,且适于响应于通过该装置的气流而发生变形;其特征在于,挡气板表面和基础表面之间的电容变化指示气流的流向和流量。
在本发明的另外一个方面,提供了包括气流感应器和控制器的气流流量和流向检测器,其中该气流感应器包含适于响应于气流而发生变形的导电的挡气板表面,且该控制器适用于根据该挡气板表面的变形程度确定气流流量和流向,且其中气流感应器形成控制器的振荡电路的一部分。
检测器的导电挡气板表面可变形并被基础导电表面间隔开,且所述挡气板表面适于响应于通过所述装置的气流而变形,且检测器的控制器可以适于根据气流感应器的电容或电容变化来确定气流流量和流向。
控制器适于根据该振荡器电路的振荡频率或振荡频率的变化来确定气流的流量和流向。
检测器可以适于用在电子香烟或电子烟中触发加热器,或者适于用在通过抽气或吹气来操作的物品中,例如电子记录仪或玩具之类的管乐器。

具体实施方式
如图8所示,电子香烟(10)作为电子烟的一个实例,其包含作为气流流量和流向检测器的一个实例的吸气检测器(100)、作为存储电源的一个实例的电池(200)、作为烟源或气味(或香气)源的一个实例的尼古丁源、和作为加热器的一个实例的加热元件(300)。吸气检测器、电池和加热元件都封装在主壳体(400)中,该主壳体包含安装有电池和吸气检测器的第一管状部分(420)、安装有加热元件和尼古丁源的第二管状部分(440)、和含有咬嘴(462)的第三管状部分(460)。此外,第一管状部分的下游端附着有透明或半透明盖子(500)。
吸气检测器是一个模块组件,包含气流感应器(120)、起动电路和LED光源(130),并且所有的模块都安装在印刷电路板(140)上。参照图4,气流感应器包含刚性或半刚性的导电膜(121),例如金属板,其以间隔方式安装在导电背板(122)上方并由绝缘垫片(123)隔开。包含以间隔并基本平行的方式布置的导电膜和导电背板的子组件形成一个电容部件,下面将详细讨论对该子组件的瞬时电容值或电容值的改变的利用方式。
由于导电膜需要对反复吸气做出快速反应,并且需要在吸气停止后快速或及时回到其中点或待机状态,因此具有良好的轴向回弹性能的金属板就成为了用作导电膜的优选。该导电背板通过导电环(125)与安装在PCB上的接地板(124)相连接,从而形成电容部件的参考地。该气流感应器和PCB的子组件封装在一个金属罐(126)中,该金属罐在其轴向的端部定义了进气口和出气口。
从图6A至图6C的示意图可以显而易见地得到如图4所示的气流感应器的电容特性。图6A的示意图显示了当没有气流通过感应器或者通过的气流可忽略时的气流感应器。在这种情况下,导电膜和导电背板大致平行,且具有间距d。这种待机或休止状态下的感应器的电容值通过关系式C=εA/d给出,其中C是电容值,ε是隔离介质的介电常数,A是导电膜与背板之间的重叠面面积。例如,直径为8mm,间隔为0.04mm的感应器的电容值大概为10pF。
当气体按照图6B所示的方向流过气流感应器时,由该气流引起的抽气将会使得弹性金属膜***远离背板。因为在这种情况下金属膜和背板之间的间距(d)通常会增大,所以气流感应器的电容值会响应于该方向的气流而下降。
另一方面,当气体按照图6B所示的相反方向流过时,则会使弹性膜偏向背板。因为在这种情况下金属膜和背板之间的间距通常会减小,所以气流感应器的电容值会响应于该方向的气流而增大。
在这两种情况下,当气流停止或者气流流量慢到不足以引起金属膜瞬时偏转或变形时,金属膜的弹性会使该膜恢复到图6A的中点状态。气流感应器的电容值响应于图6B所示方向的气流的示例性的变化如图5所示。
图7的示例电路描绘了图4的气流感应器的一个应用实例。参考图7,气流感应器(标记为CAP)与电容值测量单元(150)相连接。电容值测量的结果被传输给微控制器(160)。如果电容值测量的结果符合足够大气流流量的抽气动作,则微控制器会发送起动信号来操作加热器,使存储在尼古丁池中的尼古丁雾化。由于该吸气动作,使用者会通过咬嘴吸入尼古丁蒸汽。加热器与图7的电路中的BAT端子相连接。并且,起动信号还会操作LED驱动器(170)来操作LED光源,以提供吸烟指示作为装饰。
为了提供一种简化的电容测量设备,采用数字信号处理器(DSP)(180)作为控制器的一个实例,并且将气流感应器用作该DSP的振荡器电路的电容器。在这种情况下,气流感应器的电容输出端子连接到DSP的振荡器输入端子。本发明的设备不测量气流感应器的实际电容,而是采用一种简化的方式来确定电容值或电容的变化,即通过测量振荡器电路的瞬时振荡频率来确定瞬时电容值,或通过测量振荡器电路的振荡频率相对于中点状态频率的瞬时变化来确定电容值的瞬时变化。例如,当形成振荡器的一部分的电容器的电容值减小或增大时,振荡器电路的振荡频率会随之增大或减小。
为了利用这些频率特性,校准或计算振荡器的中点频率,即气流感应器处于图6A条件下的DSP的振荡器电路的振荡频率,然后将振荡器的中点频率存储作为参考振荡频率。绘制响应于抽气动作的振荡频率变化与气流流量的关系图,以便于当检测到达到阈值气流流量的吸气动作时,DSP可以发送起动信号给加热器或加热器开关。另一方面,如果动作是吹气动作,则该DSP不会起动加热器,从而减少错误地触发加热器。
当然,检测阈值频率会依赖于气流感应器的定向。例如,如果置于主壳体内的气流感应器的上部开口面向电子烟的LED端,则满足阈值的振荡频率的增大(如图6B所示,由于电容的减小)将与需要加热起动的阈值气流流量的抽气动作相对应,而振荡频率的减小(如图6C所示,由于电容的增大)将与不需要加热起动且不考虑气流流量的吹气动作相对应。
另一方面,如果气流感应器以相反的方向安放,使得下部开口面向LED端,则满足阈值的振荡频率的增大(如图6B所示,由于电容的减小)将与不需要加热起动且不考虑气流流量的吹气动作相对应,而当检测到频率的阈值偏移时,振荡频率的减小(如图6C所示,由于电容的增加)将与需要加热起动的吸气动作相对应。
图3的等效电路示意图对上述特性提供了有用的参考。
尽管已参考上述实施例对本发明进行了说明,但很显然这些实施例仅仅是用于说明的目的,而不应该被当作限制本发明保护范围的实例。

1.一种电子烟装置,其包含吸气检测器、吸烟效果生成电路和控制器,其中所述吸气检测器包含用于检测流过该电子烟装置的气流的流向和流量的气流感应器,以及所述控制器用以当气流流向与通过该电子烟装置进行吸气一致且气流流量达到预定阈值时,操作所述吸烟效果生成电路以生成吸烟效果,且其中所述气流感应器形成所述控制器的振荡电路的一部分;其特征在于,所述控制器还用于测量振荡器电路的振荡频率以确定气流的流量和流向。
2.如权利要求1所述的装置,其中气流感应器包含挡气板表面,所述挡气板表面适于响应于通过该电子烟装置的气体的运动而发生变形,通过所述控制器测量所述挡气板表面的变形程度以确定通过所述电子烟装置的气流的流向和流量。
3.如权利要求2所述的装置,其中测量所述气流感应器的电容或电容的变化,以确定所述挡气板表面的变形程度。
4.如上述任一项权利要求所述的装置,其中所述气流感应器包括刚性或半刚性的导电膜,所述导电膜以间隔方式安装在导电背板上方,且所述控制器用于测量所述气流感应器的电容或电容的变化。
5.如权利要求4所述的装置,其中所述控制器通过测量振荡器电路的瞬间振荡频率以确定电容量或电容的变化量。
6.如权利要求1所述的装置,其中所述控制器通过测量振荡器电路的瞬间振荡频率以确定电容量或电容的变化量。
7.如权利要求1所述的装置,其中所述控制器通过测量振荡器电路的瞬间振荡频率和中性状态频率相比较的变化量以确定电容量或电容的变化量。
8.如权利要求1至3及6中任一项所述的装置,其中所述气流流量的预定阈值与使用者通过所述电子烟装置进行典型吸烟动作的流量相对应。
9.如权利要求1至3及6中任一项所述的装置,其中所述气流感应器包含导电的挡气板表面,所述挡气板表面与基础导电表面间隔开,且所述挡气板表面适于响应于通过所述电子烟装置的气流而发生变形;其特征在于,所述挡气板表面和基础表面之间的电容变化指示气流的流向和流量。
