Detailed Description
The embodiment of the invention provides an array substrate and a liquid crystal display, which can improve the transmittance of the edge of a pixel electrode, thereby improving the overall transmittance of the liquid crystal display.
Embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings. The embodiments described herein are merely illustrative and are not intended to limit the present invention.
Example one
An embodiment of the present invention provides an array substrate, as shown in fig. 3, the array substrate includes: the pixel electrode comprises a common electrode 12, a pixel electrode layer 14 and a first insulating layer 13 arranged between the common electrode 12 and the pixel electrode layer 14, wherein the pixel electrode layer 14 comprises a plurality of pixel electrodes 11, and the pitch of the pixel electrodes 11 is at least 10 micrometers.
The specific configuration pattern of the pixel electrode 11 in this embodiment is different, and the pixel electrode 11 shown in fig. 3 includes three portions separated by 4 micrometers, and the width of each portion is 2 micrometers. The specific pattern of the pixel electrode 11 does not affect the practical effects of the present invention.
The pitch of the pixel electrodes 11 in the present embodiment refers to the distance from one pixel electrode edge to the next adjacent pixel electrode edge, as shown in fig. 3 as pitch a.
The pitch of the pixel electrodes 11 in this embodiment refers to the longitudinal pitch or the transverse pitch of the pixel electrodes 11 shown in fig. 4, and the signal lines 16 shown in the figure include longitudinal data lines and transverse gate lines.
In the array substrate of the embodiment of the invention, the distance A of the pixel electrodes is set to be at least 10 micrometers, so that the influence of the horizontal electric field 17 is eliminated as much as possible, and high transmittance is obtained. When the pitch A is 6 to 18 μm, the transmittance is as shown in FIG. 5. The transmittance was 2.13% at a pitch a of 10 microns, which was significantly higher than 1.98% at a pitch a of 8 microns. The transmittance test environment is a grid scanning voltage of 0.8V, a pixel voltage of +8V/0.1V, and a common electrode of 4V.
The distance A between the pixel electrodes in the array substrate is set to be at least 10 micrometers, so that the influence of a horizontal electric field generated by an electrical interference phenomenon is reduced, the transmittance of the edge of each pixel electrode is improved, and the overall transmittance of the liquid crystal display is improved.
Further, the distance a in the embodiment of the present invention is less than or equal to 18 μm.
When the pitch a of the pixel electrodes is increased, the aperture ratio is decreased, and the aperture ratio is decreased, which may decrease the transmittance of the liquid crystal display, so that when designing the array substrate and the display, the specific size of the pitch a needs to comprehensively consider various influencing factors and is set according to the specification and the actual requirement of the display, and the range of the pitch a of the pixel electrodes in this embodiment is 10 micrometers or more and 18 micrometers or less.
As a preferable scheme, the pitch a of the pixel electrodes in the array substrate according to the embodiment of the present invention is 12 μm.
As can be seen from the above, the aperture ratio also affects the transmittance. As shown in fig. 5, as the distance a increases, the transmittance increases; however, the increase of the pitch a also decreases the aperture ratio, and the decrease of the aperture ratio decreases the transmittance of the liquid crystal display, so the pitch a of the pixel electrodes in this embodiment is preferably 12 μm by taking these factors into consideration.
Further, as shown in fig. 6, the array substrate of this embodiment further includes: a signal line 16 disposed on a lower side of the common electrode, the signal line 16 being separated from the common electrode 12 by a second insulating layer 15.
The signal lines 16 in this embodiment are gate lines and data lines disposed on the array substrate.
When the signal line 16 is a gate line transversely disposed on the array substrate, the pitch a of the pixel electrodes shown in fig. 6 refers to the transverse pitch of the adjacent pixel electrodes; when the signal lines 16 are data lines arranged in the longitudinal direction on the array substrate, the pitch a of the pixel electrodes shown in fig. 6 refers to the longitudinal pitch of the adjacent pixel electrodes.
The material of the common electrode 12 and the material of the pixel electrode 11 are both transparent conductive materials.
Optionally, the transparent conductive material is Indium-tin-Oxide (ITO) or Indium-Zinc-Oxide (IZO).
The distance between the common electrode and the pixel electrode layer is 0.1-0.6 microns, so that the distance between the pixel electrode and the common electrode is very short, the generated fringe electric field is strong, and the driving to liquid crystal is strongest.
In order to reduce the influence of the electrical interference phenomenon, the array substrate in the embodiment of the invention optimizes the space between the pixel electrodes, so that the transmittance of the edge of each pixel electrode is improved, and the overall transmittance of the liquid crystal display is improved.
Example two
An embodiment of the present invention also provides a liquid crystal display, including: array substrate and color filter substrate, the array substrate include: the pixel electrode layer comprises a plurality of pixel electrodes, and the pitch of the pixel electrodes is at least 10 micrometers.
In this embodiment, the pitch is less than or equal to 18 micrometers.
In the embodiment of the invention, the distance A of the liquid crystal display is set to be at least 10 micrometers, so that the influence of a horizontal electric field generated by an electric interference phenomenon is reduced, and the integral transmittance of the liquid crystal display is improved.
As a preferable mode, the pitch of the pixel electrodes in the liquid crystal display of this embodiment is 12 μm.
Further, the liquid crystal display of this embodiment further includes: and a signal line disposed at a lower side of the common electrode, the signal line being separated from the common electrode by a second insulating layer.
The common electrode and the pixel electrode are made of transparent conductive materials, such as Indium Tin Oxide (ITO) or Indium Zinc Oxide (IZO).
The distance between the common electrode and the pixel electrode layer is 0.1-0.6 microns, and the fringe electric field generated at the moment drives the liquid crystal most strongly.
In order to reduce the influence of the electrical interference phenomenon, the liquid crystal display in the embodiment of the invention optimizes the distance between the pixel electrodes, so that the transmittance of the edge of each pixel electrode is improved, and the overall transmittance of the liquid crystal display is improved.
The above description is only for the specific embodiments of the present invention, but the scope of the present invention is not limited thereto, and any person skilled in the art can easily conceive of the changes or substitutions within the technical scope of the present invention, and all the changes or substitutions should be covered within the scope of the present invention.
