背景技术
数字视频广播***允许多***运营商(MSO)将电视节目和多媒体服务传递给订户。***的容量或者带宽确定了MSO传递的节目和服务。在传统广播***中,MSO将所有可用节目和服务在单个线缆上发送到订户的机顶盒。因此,在传统广播***中增加订户可用的节目和服务的唯一方法是增加带宽。
切换式数字视频(SDV)***是对传统广播***的改进。SDV***通过允许MSO仅发送由服务组请求的内容来要求较少的带宽以传递高带宽数字服务,其中每个服务组包括对于切换式边缘正交振幅调制(QAM)装置的公共集合的可见性的机顶盒集合。为实现这一点,订户的机顶盒与网络侧视频服务器通信以请求订户想要实时观看的节目。SDV***通过将所请求的节目传递给订户的服务组来做出响应。因此,服务组仅接收服务组中的订户正在观看的节目。

Claims (20)

1.一种方法,包括:
监视与切换式数字视频***中的信道相关联的内容流,所述内容流包括具有开始时间和结束时间的广告区段和在所述内容流中***的广告替换机会;
在所述广告区段的开始时间之前的检测时间检测所述内容流中的所述广告替换机会;
发送选择用于所述广告区段的广告替换的请求,从而在所述广告区段的开始时间之前引起与所述广告替换相关联的服务的广播;
接收调谐数据以识别与所述广告替换相关联的广告替换流;以及
在所述广告区段的开始时间时调谐到所述广告替换流。
2.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其中,所述内容流是顺序内容流。
3.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其中,所述内容流的监视进一步包括:
作为分组的时间序列接收所述内容流;以及
检查每个分组。
4.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其中,所述广告替换机会的检测进一步包括:
检测所述内容流中的至少一个触发器,所述至少一个触发器识别所述广告区段的开始时间、所述广告区段的结束时间以及所述广告区段的服务信息,
其中所述至少一个触发器是所述内容流到所述广告区段的服务的转换以及利用所述广告替换来替换所述广告区段的机会的指示符,并且
其中当调谐到所述广告区段或者所述广告替换时,所述至少一个触发器提供无缝转换。
5.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其中,所述广告替换机会的检测进一步包括:
检测所述内容流中的至少一个接头点,所述至少一个接头点识别所述广告区段的开始时间、所述广告区段的结束时间以及广告替换接头服务信息,
其中所述至少一个接头点是所述内容流到所述广告区段的服务的转换以及利用所述广告替换来替换所述广告区段的机会的指示符,并且
其中当调谐到所述广告区段或者所述广告替换时,所述至少一个接头点提供无缝转换。
6.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其中,选择所述广告区段的广告替换的所述请求包括所述内容流的订户的人口统计信息、所述广告区段的持续时间、所述订户的标识信息以及所述订户的购买偏好中的至少一个。
7.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其中,所述广告替换被定向以选定与所述内容流的订户相关联的特性或偏好。
8.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其中,所述调谐数据包括移动图像专家组服务编号、网际协议多播、频率以及服务标识符中的至少一个。
9.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其中,所述检测时间和所述广告区段的开始时间之间的时间差大于所述广告替换流的服务建立时间。
10.一种***,包括:
存储器装置,所述存储器装置驻留在计算装置中;以及
处理器,所述处理器部署为与所述存储器装置通信,所述处理器被配置成:
监视与切换式数字视频***中的信道相关联的内容流,所述内容流包括具有开始时间和结束时间的广告区段和在所述内容流中***的广告替换机会;
在所述广告区段的开始时间之前的检测时间检测所述内容流中的所述广告替换机会;
发送选择用于所述广告区段的广告替换的请求,从而在所述广告区段的开始时间之前引起与所述广告替换相关联的服务的广播;
接收调谐数据以识别与所述广告替换相关联的广告替换流;以及
在所述广告区段的开始时间时调谐到所述广告替换流。
11.根据权利要求10所述的***,其中,所述检测时间和所述广告区段的开始时间之间的时间差大于所述广告替换流的服务建立时间。
12.一种非暂时性计算机可读介质,包括计算机可执行指令,当在计算装置上执行时,所述计算机可执行指令执行下述步骤:
监视与切换式数字视频***中的信道相关联的内容流,所述内容流包括具有开始时间和结束时间的广告区段和在所述内容流中***的广告替换机会;
在所述广告区段的开始时间之前的检测时间检测所述内容流中的所述广告替换机会;
发送选择用于所述广告区段的广告替换的请求,从而在所述广告区段的开始时间之前引起与所述广告替换相关联的服务的广播;
接收调谐数据以识别与所述广告替换相关联的广告替换流;以及
在所述广告区段的开始时间时调谐到所述广告替换流。
13.一种方法,包括:
接收选择与切换式数字视频***中的信道相关联的内容流的广告区段的广告替换的请求,所述广告区段具有开始时间和结束时间,其中所述请求的接收时间在所述广告区段的开始时间之前;
选择用于所述广告区段的所述广告替换;
在所述广告区段的开始时间之前广播与所述广告替换相关联的服务;
发送调谐数据以识别与所述广告替换相关联的广告替换流;以及
在所述广告区段的开始时间发送所述广告替换流。
14.根据权利要求13所述的方法,其中,所述内容流是顺序内容流。
15.根据权利要求13所述的方法,其中,选择用于所述广告区段的所述广告替换的所述请求包括所述内容流的订户的人口统计信息、所述广告区段的持续时间、所述订户的标识信息以及所述订户的购买偏好中的至少一个。
16.根据权利要求13所述的方法,其中,所述广告替换被定向以选定与所述内容流的订户相关联的特性或偏好。
17.根据权利要求13所述的方法,其中,所述请求的接收时间和所述广告区段的开始时间之间的时间差大于所述广告替换流的服务建立时间。
18.一种***,包括:
存储器装置,所述存储器装置驻留在计算装置中;以及
处理器,所述处理器部署为与所述存储器装置通信,所述处理器被配置成:
接收选择与切换式数字视频***中的信道相关联的内容流的广告区段的广告替换的请求,所述广告区段具有开始时间和结束时间,其中所述请求的接收时间在所述广告区段的开始时间之前;
选择用于所述广告区段的所述广告替换;
在所述广告区段的开始时间之前广播与所述广告替换相关联的服务;
发送调谐数据以识别与所述广告替换相关联的广告替换流;以及
在所述广告区段的开始时间发送所述广告替换流。
19.根据权利要求18所述的方法,其中,所述请求的接收时间和所述广告区段的开始时间之间的时间差大于所述广告替换流的服务建立时间。
20.一种非暂时性计算机可读介质,包括计算机可执行指令,当在计算装置上执行时,所述计算机可执行指令执行下述步骤:
接收选择与切换式数字视频***中的信道相关联的内容流的广告区段的广告替换的请求,所述广告区段具有开始时间和结束时间,其中所述请求的接收时间在所述广告区段的开始时间之前;
选择用于所述广告区段的所述广告替换;
在所述广告区段的开始时间之前广播与所述广告替换相关联的服务;
发送调谐数据以识别与所述广告替换相关联的广告替换流;以及
在所述广告区段的开始时间发送所述广告替换流。
