Abstract

技术领域
本发明涉及同轴电缆连接器,包括膨胀垫圈、非平面垫圈及防止匹配连接器松开或分离的其它特征。
背景技术
电连接器用于各种连接电路和装置的应用中。一种如此的连接器是F型连接器,其用于大多数射频(RF)同轴电缆中,以连接电视、有线电视解码器、VCR/DVD、硬盘数字录音机、卫星接收机及其它装置。F型连接器通常包括阳同轴电缆连接器和对应的阴同轴电缆连接器,阳同轴电缆连接器容纳中心导体(例如中线),阴同轴电缆连接器容纳接纳该中心导体的触点。阳同轴电缆连接器典型地具有标准设计,一般使用7/16英寸的六角螺母作为紧固件。螺母具有相对较短(例如1/8至1/4英寸)的长度,并且可以由人的手指抓住从而拧紧或松开。
例如振动和热循环的许多因素都可能引起匹配的阳F型连接器和阴F型连接器松开和/或分离,从而导致信号损耗或电性能衰退。此外,当在室外使用时,传统的F型连接器易受潮湿或灰尘侵入的影响,这会侵蚀F型连接器的诸部分(或者电缆所连接到的部位)或者在其它方面使连接性能退化。

具体实施方式
本说明书公开了同轴电缆连接器及相关垫圈的各种实施例。在一个实施例中,例如,斜面的膨胀垫圈可以用于帮助将阳连接器和阴连接器固定在一起,由此避免由于连接器松开而引起的信号损耗或电性能的退化。在另一实施例中,垫圈可以包括一个或多个从该垫圈主体部分的平面向外弯曲的部分。当阳同轴电缆连接器通过螺纹或以其它方式与相对应的阴同轴电缆连接器结合,可以对非平面垫圈进行压缩,从而使垫圈的非平面部分抵抗阳同轴电缆连接器的相对表面。集中在这些接触点上的压力易于防止这两个连接器的旋转,由此防止它们在振动或使用时松开或分离。

图1是根据本发明实施例配置的、在与阴同轴电缆连接器例如阴F型连接器(“阴连接器”,未示出)接合之前的阳同轴电缆连接器100例如阳F型连接器(“阳连接器100”)的局部横截面视图,并且图2是与该阴连接器接合后的图1的阳连接器100的局部横截面视图。为了简洁,在图中未示出阴连接器。一起参照图1和2,阳连接器100可以包括导体***部150,其带有至少部分由连接螺母110环绕的环形法兰152。膨胀垫圈130(“垫圈130”)可以配置在环形法兰152和连接螺母110之间。在所示实施例中,导体***部150包括一对压缩环156,用于将阳连接器100保持在同轴电缆(未示出)的端部上。但是,在其它实施例中,可以使用本领域已知的适当方法将阳连接器100压接到同轴电缆上。在各种实施例中,阳连接器100还可以包括保持导体***部150和并接连接螺母110的外部本体(未示出)。
如图示实施例中所示,连接螺母110可以包括第一端部111、第二端部117和内表面112,该内表面112限定通过其可以接纳阴连接器的孔。连接螺母110的内表面112的至少一部分可以包括螺纹114,用于接合阴连接器上的对应螺纹。在其它实施例中,连接螺母110可以包括本领域已知的用于将阳连接器100与相应阴连接器接合的其它适当特征。在图示实施例中,连接螺母110的第二端部117包括朝向环形法兰152的成角度表面116,使得当将导体***部150压抵阴连接器时(例如,将阳连接器100紧固到阴连接器上时),将其压抵垫圈130以使其径向膨胀。
如图1和2中所示,连接螺母110的孔可以至少部分地包围导体***部150的环形法兰152。例如,在图示实施例中,环形法兰152配置在连接螺母110的第一端部111和连接螺母110的第二端部117之间。在本发明的各个方面中,环形法兰152可以包括朝向连接螺母的第二端部117的成角度表面154。成角度表面154可以配置为当导体***部150压抵阴连接器时压缩垫圈130并使其径向膨胀。
仍如图1中所示,连接螺母110的第二端部117和法兰152可以形成将垫圈130保持在其中的凹槽。当将导体***部150压抵阴连接器时(例如,将阳连接器100紧固到阴连接器上时),垫圈130可以径向膨胀。例如,在图示实施例中,垫圈的顶面136和底面138分别由连接螺母110和导体***部150的成角度表面116和154所压紧。将垫圈130的外表面132压抵连接螺母110的内表面,有助于将连接螺母110保持就位,并防止阳连接器100与其所连接的阴连接器分离。
垫圈130可以具有各种适合的尺寸、形状和结构,并且可以具有各种期望特征,使得当导体***部150压抵阴连接器时使垫圈130径向膨胀。例如,如图1和2中所示,垫圈130可以是斜面的或锥形的,使内表面134的宽度小于外表面132的宽度。垫圈130的向内锥形表面可以分别压抵连接螺母110和环形法兰的相对成角度表面116和154,以便于当阳连接器100与阴连接器接合时垫圈130的径向延伸。
垫圈130可以由适合的材料或例如金属的材料组合物制成。例如,垫圈130可以由钢、不锈钢、碳钢、黄铜、铜、铍或其它适合的组合物制成。在各种实施例中,垫圈130由易变形(以径向膨胀)和弹性(用于当阳连接器100从阴连接器脱离时在压缩之前基本返回其形状)的材料制成。例如,在一个实施例中,垫圈130可以由弹性弹性体制成,例如天然或合成橡胶(例如聚氯丁烯、亚硝酸盐、异戊二烯、丙烯酸、苯乙烯一丁二烯及其组合物)。
图3A-3C分别是根据本发明实施例配置并且适于与图1和2的阳连接器100一起使用的膨胀垫圈330、331和333的等距视图。与上述垫圈130类似,垫圈330、331和333具有锥形边缘,使内表面334的宽度小于外表面332的宽度。在图3A和3B所示的实施例中,垫圈330和331包括分开垫圈330和331的端部340(各自标记为第一端部340a和第二端部340b)的间隙301。如图3B中所示,第一端部340a可以进行开槽。在其它实施例中,两个端部340都可以进行开槽和/或具有其它适当的结构。如图3C所示实施例中所示,在又一实施例中,垫圈333可以是连续结构。
图4和5分别是根据本发明另一实施例的分别与阴连接器(未示出)脱离和与该阴连接器接合的阳连接器400的局部横截面视图。阳连接器400包括通常类似于以上参照上述图1和2所述的阳连接器100特征的几个特征。例如,阳连接器400包括具有环形法兰452的导体***部450,该环形法兰452由连接螺母410至少部分地环绕。如图4和5中所示,阳连接器400包括垫圈430,其具有向外锥形边缘,使其内表面434的宽度大于其外表面432的宽度。
连接螺母410的第二端部417和导体***部450的环形法兰可以分别包括相对的成角度表面416和454,以接合垫圈430的顶面436和底面438。当将导体***部450压抵阴连接器时(例如,当阳连接器400与阴连接器接合时),垫圈430径向向内驱动,以使垫圈430的外表面432压抵导体***部450,有助于防止阳连接器400及与其连接的阴连接器彼此分离。在其它实施例中,连接螺母410和环形法兰450的成角度表面416和454的一个或两个分别不是锥形的,使得斜面垫圈430本身驱动垫圈430以压抵导体***部450。
图6A和6B是分别根据本发明若干实施例配置的、并且适于与图4和5的阳连接器400一起使用的垫圈630和631的等距视图。与图4和5的垫圈430类似,垫圈630和631是锥形,以使内表面634的宽度大于外表面632的宽度。如图6A所示,在各种实施例中,垫圈630可以包括分开端部640(各自标记为第一端部640a和第二端部640b)的间隙601。在其它实施例中,垫圈631可以是连续的(图6B)。
图7A-7C是根据本发明各种方面配置的连接器700的一系列横截面视图。在该实施例中,连接器700包括平面膨胀垫圈730(“垫圈730”),其具有基本等宽度的内表面734和外表面732。图7A示出了连接器700与对应的阴连接器(未示出)接合之前的垫圈730。图7B(图7C是其放大图)示出了在连接螺母710和导体***部750的法兰752之间压缩的垫圈730。如图7C的放大视图中最佳地所示,当导体***部750的法兰752的成角度表面754向外压抵内表面734的转角时,垫圈730径向膨胀。

如图8B和8C所示,垫圈830的端部840可以被弯曲或以其它方式相对于垫圈830的本体部分831形成为非共面。例如,端部840可以相对于本体部分831的平面以约10度的角度弯曲。在其它实施例中,端部840可以相对于本体部分831以不同的角度弯曲。在另外的实施例中,端部840可以在相反方向弯曲,以使第一端部840a沿第一方向延伸,而第二端部840b沿不同于第一方向的第二方向延伸。在另外的实施例中,第一和第二端部840a,b中的一个可以被弯曲,而另一个端部可以相对于本体部分831保持平面。
与上述垫圈类似,垫圈830可以由钢、不锈钢、碳钢、黄铜、铜和/或本领域已知的其它适当的金属制成。在其它实施例中,垫圈830可以由弹性弹性体制成,例如天然或合成橡胶和/或其它适合的弹性材料。在所选实施例中,垫圈830可以使用包括非平面部分的模具制成,该非平面部分形成端部840。在其它实施例中,垫圈830可以被模制,或者以其它方式构成为基本平面的垫圈,并且随后变形为包括非平面端部840。在另外的实施例中,可以使用其它制造垫圈的适当方法制造垫圈830。
图9A是根据本发明实施例配置的阳同轴电缆连接器900,例如阳F型连接器(“阳连接器900”)的横截面视图。与上述阳连接器类似,阳连接器900包括带有环形法兰952的导体***部950,该环形法兰至少部分地配置在连接螺母910中。阳连接器900还可以包括位于环形法兰952的表面954和连接螺母910的表面916之间的图8A-8C的垫圈830。在图示的实施例中,非平面端部840可以紧邻环形法兰952的表面954,本体部分831可以紧邻连接螺母910的表面916,或者反之亦然。

Claims (25)
1.一种同轴电缆连接器,包括:
连接螺母,所述连接螺母具有第一端部、第二端部和内表面,所述内表面确定用于接纳相应的同轴电缆连接器的孔;
导体***部,所述导体***部具有至少部分地位于所述孔中的环形法兰;以及
垫圈,所述垫圈位于所述连接螺母的所述第二端部和所述环形法兰之间,其中所述垫圈的至少一部分配置为压抵所述环形法兰和所述连接螺母的所述第二端部中的至少一个,以阻止所述同轴电缆连接器之间的旋转。
2.如权利要求1所述的同轴电缆连接器,其特征在于,所述连接螺母和所述环形法兰中的至少一个包括面对所述垫圈的成角度表面,并且其中,所述成角度表面配置为当所述导体***部压抵相应的同轴电缆连接器时驱使所述垫圈朝所述连接螺母径向向外膨胀。
3.如权利要求1所述的同轴电缆连接器,其特征在于,所述连接螺母和所述环形法兰这的至少一个包括面对所述垫圈的成角度表面,并且其中,所述成角度表面配置为当所述导体***部压抵相应的同轴电缆连接器时驱使所述垫圈朝所述导体***部径向向内。
4.如权利要求1所述的同轴电缆连接器,其特征在于,所述垫圈包括具有第一宽度的内表面和具有第二宽度的外表面,并且其中,所述第一宽度大于所述第二宽度。
5.如权利要求1所述的同轴电缆连接器,其特征在于,所述垫圈包括具有第一宽度的内表面和具有第二宽度的外表面,并且其中,所述第一宽度小于所述第二宽度。
6.如权利要求1所述的同轴电缆连接器,其特征在于,所述垫圈包括相对端部之间的间隙,并且其中,所述垫圈在外表面和内表面之间为锥形。
7.如权利要求1所述的同轴电缆连接器,其特征在于,所述垫圈包括本体部分和非平面部分,并且其中,所述本体部分和所述非平面部分配置为当所述导体***部压抵相应的同轴电缆连接器时载靠所述环形法兰和所述连接螺母的相对表面。
8.如权利要求1所述的同轴电缆连接器,其特征在于,所述垫圈包括本体部分和由间隙分开的相对端部,所述相对端部位于与所述本体部分不同的平面,并且其中,所述本体部分和所述端部配置为夹持所述环形法兰和所述连接螺母的相对表面,以阻止所述同轴电缆连接器之间的旋转。
9.如权利要求1所述的同轴电缆连接器,其特征在于,所述垫圈具有圆周和由间隙分开的相对端部,并且其中,所述垫圈沿所述圆周扭曲,致使所述端部彼此非共面。
10.如权利要求1所述的同轴电缆连接器,其特征在于:
所述同轴电缆连接器是阳同轴电缆连接器;
所述相应的同轴电缆连接器是阴同轴电缆连接器;
所述连接螺母的所述内表面至少部分地螺纹连接以配合所述阴同轴电缆连接器上的螺纹;
所述连接螺母和所述环形法兰包括相对表面,所述相对表面朝所述连接螺母向外成一角度;并且
所述垫圈包括具有第一宽度的内表面和具有第二宽度的外表面,所述第一宽度小于所述第二宽度。
11.如权利要求1所述的同轴电缆连接器,其特征在于:
所述同轴电缆连接器是阳同轴电缆连接器;
所述相应的同轴电缆连接器是阴同轴电缆连接器;
所述连接螺母的所述内表面至少部分地螺纹连接以配合所述阴同轴电缆连接器上的螺纹;
所述连接螺母和所述环形法兰包括相对表面,所述相对表面朝所述连接螺母向内成一角度;并且
所述垫圈包括具有第一宽度的内表面和具有第二宽度的外表面,所述第一宽度大于所述第二宽度。
12.一种阳同轴电缆连接器,包括:
连接螺母,所述连接螺母具有内表面,所述内表面确定用于接纳阴同轴电缆连接器的孔;
导体***部,所述导体***部具有由所述连接螺母至少部分地围绕的环形法兰,所述环形法兰和所述连接螺母具有形成凹槽的相对表面;以及
垫圈,所述垫圈位于所述凹槽内,其中,当所述导体***部压抵所述阴同轴电缆连接器时,所述垫圈构造成限制所述阳同轴电缆连接器的旋转运动。
13.如权利要求12所述的阳同轴电缆连接器,其特征在于,所述相对表面中的至少一个朝所述连接螺母向外成一角度。
14.如权利要求12所述的阳同轴电缆连接器,其特征在于,所述相对表面中的至少一个朝所述导体***部向内成一角度。
15.如权利要求12所述的阳同轴电缆连接器,其特征在于,所述垫圈在外表面和内表面之间为锥形。
16.如权利要求12所述的阳同轴电缆连接器,其特征在于,所述垫圈包括本体部分和由间隙分开的相对端部,所述相端部位于与所述本体部分不同的平面,并且配置为将集中的压力施加于所述环形法兰和所述连接螺母的所述相对表面中的至少一个。
17.如权利要求16所述的阳同轴电缆连接器,其特征在于,所述垫圈还包括沿所述本体部分的非平面部分。
18.一种制造同轴电缆连接器的方法,所述方法包括:
环绕导体***部的环形法兰放置垫圈;以及
将所述环形法兰和所述垫圈至少部分地放入连接螺母的孔中,其中所述连接螺母和所述环形法兰的相对表面形成将垫圈保持在其中的凹槽,并且其中所述垫圈配置为当所述导体***部压抵对应的同轴电缆连接器时限制所述同轴电缆连接器的旋转运动。
19.如权利要求18所述的方法,其特征在于,还包括在所述环形法兰和所述连接螺母的相对表面中的至少一个上形成成角度表面,其中所述成角度表面朝所述导体***部向内成锥形。
20.如权利要求18所述的方法,其特征在于,还包括在所述环形法兰和所述连接螺母的相对表面中的至少一个上形成成角度表面,其中所述成角度表面朝所述连接螺母向外成锥形。
21.如权利要求18所述的方法,其特征在于,还包括形成所述垫圈,以使其包括具有第一宽度的内表面和具有小于所述第一宽度的第二宽度的外表面。
22.如权利要求18所述的方法,其特征在于,还包括形成所述垫圈,以使其包括具有第一宽度的内表面和具有大于所述第一宽度的第二宽度的外表面。
23.如权利要求18所述的方法,其特征在于,还包括:
形成所述垫圈,以使其包括本体部分和由间隙分开的相对端部;以及
使至少一个端部与所述本体部分形成非平面。
24.如权利要求18所述的方法,其特征在于,还包括沿所述垫圈的圆周形成非平面部分。
25.如权利要求18所述的方法,其特征在于,还包括:
形成所述垫圈,以使其包括由间隙分开的相对端部;以及
围绕圆周扭曲所述垫圈,以使所述端部彼此处于不同平面。
