Technical Field

Background
Because the wireless device inevitably carries or bumps in the production and installation process, it is very easy to cause the connection of antenna and antenna feeder to become flexible or even drop. Therefore, in order to ensure the normal operation of the wireless communication device and prevent the abnormal operation of the wireless communication device caused by the abnormal wireless connection or influence on the operation performance of the device, the general communication device needs a related antenna alarm system or device.
The existing antenna alarm implementation modes of wireless communication equipment mainly include two types: the method is directly realized by a hardware circuit or realized by a software detection mode.
The implementation mode of the hardware circuit is complex, needs special hardware circuit or device support, has high cost, and is not beneficial to modification and expansion application.
The software implementation mode is flexible and low in cost, and the existing software implementation mode is as follows: the detection equipment receives messages sent by terminal equipment communicated with the detection equipment through each antenna within preset time, and counts the received signal strength of the messages sent by each antenna, if the statistical value of the received signal strength of the messages sent by the ith antenna of the terminal equipment is obviously lower than the statistical value of the received signal strength of the messages sent by other antennas of the terminal equipment except the ith antenna, the ith antenna can be determined to be in fault. However, the implementation mode needs the communication between the detection equipment and the terminal equipment to carry out detection; when all antennas of the terminal equipment have problems, the statistical values of the received signal strengths of the messages sent by all the antennas of the terminal equipment have almost the same difference, so that the reference standard is lost and the detection cannot be performed.

Detailed Description
In order to make the objects, technical solutions and advantages of the embodiments of the present invention clearer, the technical solutions in the embodiments of the present invention will be clearly and completely described below with reference to the drawings in the embodiments of the present invention, and it is obvious that the described embodiments are some, but not all, embodiments of the present invention. All other embodiments, which can be derived by a person skilled in the art from the embodiments given herein without making any creative effort, shall fall within the protection scope of the present invention.
Fig. 1 is a flowchart of an embodiment of an antenna detection method according to the present invention, and as shown in fig. 1, the antenna detection method may include:
step 101, a device to be detected selects a transmitting antenna.
Specifically, the device to be tested may sequentially select one antenna among its own included antennas as the above-mentioned transmitting antenna.
And 102, generating a wireless detection message corresponding to the transmitting antenna by the equipment to be detected.
In an implementation manner of this embodiment, the device to be detected may generate a wireless detection message corresponding to the sending antenna according to the serial number of the sending antenna, where a Service Set Identifier (SSID) of the wireless detection message corresponds to the serial number of the sending antenna one to one, and the wireless detection message may be a beacon message.
In another implementation manner of this embodiment, the device to be detected may generate a wireless detection packet corresponding to the sending antenna according to the serial number of the sending antenna, where the packet length of the wireless detection packet corresponds to the serial number of the sending antenna one to one.
Step 103, the device to be detected sends the wireless detection message through the sending antenna, so that the detecting device receiving the wireless detection message detects the sending antenna according to the received signal strength of the wireless detection message.
Specifically, the device to be detected may broadcast the wireless detection message, or the device to be detected may transmit the wireless detection message in a background scanning manner, where the background scanning manner is that the device to be detected leaves or does not leave its own working channel within an extreme time to perform other radio frequency transceiving operations.
The two sending modes are only two examples of the invention, and neither sending mode can affect the normal work of the device to be detected; the method for sending the wireless detection message to the equipment to be detected is not limited, as long as the equipment to be detected can send the wireless detection message out through the selected sending antenna, and the normal work of the equipment to be detected cannot be influenced.
In the above embodiment, the device to be detected generates the wireless detection message corresponding to the selected transmitting antenna, and then transmits the wireless detection message, so that the detecting device receiving the wireless detection message can detect the transmitting antenna according to the received signal strength of the wireless detection message. Therefore, the antenna of the device to be detected can be detected in a software mode without the support of extra hardware, the antenna is detected for each antenna, the accuracy is high, the detection can be realized as long as the device to be detected is powered on, the device to be detected does not need to perform message interaction with the detection device, and the normal work of the device to be detected cannot be influenced.
Fig. 2 is a flowchart of another embodiment of the antenna detection method of the present invention, as shown in fig. 2, the antenna detection method may include:
step 201, a detection device receives a wireless detection message sent by a device to be detected.
Step 202, the detection device determines, according to the wireless detection message, a sending antenna used by the device to be detected to send the wireless detection message, and determines the received signal strength of the wireless detection message corresponding to the sending antenna.
Specifically, determining the received signal strength of the wireless detection packet corresponding to the transmitting antenna may be: the detection equipment counts a first average value of received signal strength of a wireless detection message corresponding to the sending antenna received within a preset time period, and determines the first average value as the received signal strength of the wireless detection message corresponding to the sending antenna; or, the detection device counts a second average value of received signal strengths of a predetermined number of wireless detection messages corresponding to the transmitting antenna, and determines the second average value as the received signal strength of the wireless detection message corresponding to the transmitting antenna; or, the detection device calculates the received signal strength of each received wireless detection message corresponding to the transmitting antenna, and determines the received signal strength of each wireless detection message corresponding to the transmitting antenna as the received signal strength of the wireless detection message corresponding to the transmitting antenna.
In an implementation manner of this embodiment, the determining, by the detection device according to the wireless detection packet, that the sending antenna used by the device to be detected to send the wireless detection packet is: the detection device determines the serial number of the transmitting antenna used by the device to be detected to transmit the wireless detection message according to the SSID of the wireless detection message, wherein the wireless detection message can be a beacon message.
In another implementation manner of this embodiment, the determining, by the detection device according to the wireless detection packet, that the sending antenna used by the device to be detected to send the wireless detection packet may be: and the detection equipment determines the serial number of a transmitting antenna used by the equipment to be detected for transmitting the wireless detection message according to the message length of the wireless detection message.
Step 203, after the detection device determines that the transmitting antenna has a fault according to the received signal strength, an antenna fault alarm is performed.
Specifically, when the received signal strength is smaller than a preset threshold, the detection device may determine that the transmitting antenna is faulty.
In the above embodiment, after receiving the wireless detection packet sent by the device to be detected, the detection device may detect, according to the received signal strength of the wireless detection packet, the transmitting antenna used by the device to be detected to send the wireless detection packet. Therefore, the antenna of the equipment to be detected can be detected in a software mode without the support of extra hardware, the antenna detection method is high in accuracy, the antenna can be detected as long as the equipment to be detected is electrified, the equipment to be detected and the detection equipment do not need to carry out message interaction, and the normal work of the equipment to be detected cannot be influenced.
In the embodiments shown in fig. 1 and fig. 2 of the present invention, the device to be detected may be a wireless access device with an antenna, a wireless terminal device, and other wireless devices, for example: an Access Point (AP); the detection device may be a device capable of receiving a wireless message and determining the received signal strength of the wireless message, for example: AP or wireless client (Station; hereinafter referred to as STA). However, in the following description of the embodiments of the present invention, the device to be detected is an AP, and the detection device is an AP or an STA.
Fig. 3 is a schematic diagram of an embodiment of an application scenario of the present invention, as shown in fig. 3, in a normal situation, an AP1 may send a probe response message and/or a Beacon (Beacon) message and other wireless messages, and an STA may receive the probe response message and/or the Beacon message and other wireless messages sent by the AP 1; in addition, the AP1 may send a probe request message, a neighbor message, and/or a Beacon message, and the AP2 may receive a probe request message, a neighbor message, and/or a Beacon message, and the like, sent by the AP 1. The AP1 typically has multiple antennas, and the AP1 may select the antenna from which to send the message.
In the following description of the embodiments of the present invention, AP1 is taken as a device to be detected, and STA or AP2 is taken as a detection device for example.
Fig. 4 is a flowchart of another embodiment of an antenna detection method according to the present invention, as shown in fig. 4, the antenna detection method may include:
the AP1 selects a transmission channel and transmission power, step 401.
At step 402, the AP1 selects a transmit antenna.
Assuming that the AP1 has N antennas, where N is a positive integer, the AP1 may sequentially select one antenna from the N antennas as the transmission antenna.
In step 403, the AP1 generates a wireless detection packet corresponding to the transmitting antenna.
Specifically, in an implementation manner of this embodiment, the wireless detection message may be a Beacon message, and the AP1 may generate the Beacon message corresponding to the transmitting antenna according to the serial number of the transmitting antenna, where the SSID of the Beacon message corresponds to the serial number of the transmitting antenna one to one. For example, assuming that the serial number of the transmitting antenna is N, the AP1 may generate a Beacon message whose SSID corresponding to the transmitting antenna is BSSID _ N.
In another implementation manner of this embodiment, the AP1 may generate a wireless detection packet corresponding to the transmitting antenna according to the serial number of the transmitting antenna, where the packet length of the wireless detection packet corresponds to the serial number of the transmitting antenna in a one-to-one manner. For example, assuming that the serial number of the transmitting antenna is N, the AP1 may generate a wireless detection message with a message length of "200 + N" corresponding to the transmitting antenna.
The above two implementation manners of generating the wireless detection packet corresponding to the transmitting antenna only for the AP1 are not limited in the embodiment of the present invention, and the embodiment of the present invention does not limit the manner of generating the wireless detection packet corresponding to the transmitting antenna for the AP1, as long as the AP1 is well defined by the detection device (e.g., AP2 or STA), and the wireless detection packet generated by the AP1 may allow the AP2 or STA to distinguish the transmitting antenna used by the AP1 to transmit the wireless detection packet, for example: the AP1 may also generate a wireless detection message corresponding to the transmitting antenna according to the serial number of the transmitting antenna, where the message content or the message type of the wireless detection message corresponds to the serial number of the transmitting antenna one to one.
In step 404, the AP1 transmits the wireless detection packet through the transmitting antenna using the transmitting power on the selected transmitting channel.
For example, the AP1 may broadcast the wireless detection packet on a selected channel, and the detection device (e.g., the AP2 or the STA) may receive the wireless detection packet sent by the AP1 only by monitoring on the transmission channel of the AP1, without performing packet interaction with the AP 1.
In step 405, the AP1 determines whether to end the detection.
Specifically, the AP1 may determine whether all antennas have been detected; if not, returning to execute the step 402; if the AP1 determines that all antennas have been detected, the detection is ended.
The embodiment can realize the detection of the antennas of the AP1 by software without the support of extra hardware, and the embodiment detects each antenna with high accuracy, and can detect the antennas only by powering on the AP1, and the detection device (for example, the AP2 or the STA) does not need to perform message interaction with the AP 1. In addition, the method provided by the embodiment can detect when all the antennas of the AP1 have faults, and is convenient to popularize and use.
Fig. 5 is a flowchart of another embodiment of the antenna detection method of the present invention, as shown in fig. 5, the antenna detection method may include:
at step 501, the AP2 or STA selects a channel to listen to.
In this embodiment, the AP2 or the STA selects the transmission channel of the AP1 as the monitored channel.
In step 502, the AP2 or the STA receives the wireless detection message sent by the AP1 on the selected channel.
In this embodiment, the wireless detection packet is broadcast by the AP1 on the transmission channel selected by the AP2 or the STA, and the AP1 can receive the wireless detection packet transmitted by the AP1 only by monitoring on the transmission channel of the AP1, without performing packet interaction with the AP 1.
In step 503, the AP2 or the STA determines, according to the wireless detection packet, a transmitting antenna used by the AP1 to transmit the wireless detection packet, and determines the received signal strength of the wireless detection packet corresponding to the transmitting antenna.
Specifically, determining the received signal strength of the wireless detection packet corresponding to the transmitting antenna may be: the AP2 or the STA counts a first average value of received signal strengths of the wireless detection messages received within a predetermined time period and corresponding to the transmitting antenna, and determines the first average value as the received signal strength of the wireless detection message corresponding to the transmitting antenna; or, the AP2 or the STA counts a second average value of received signal strengths of a predetermined number of wireless detection messages received corresponding to the transmitting antenna, and determines the second average value as the received signal strength of the wireless detection message corresponding to the transmitting antenna; or the AP2 or the STA calculates the received signal strength of each wireless detection message corresponding to the transmitting antenna, and determines the received signal strength of each wireless detection message corresponding to the transmitting antenna as the received signal strength of the wireless detection message corresponding to the transmitting antenna; the embodiment does not limit the manner in which the AP2 or the STA determines the received signal strength of the wireless detection packet.
In this embodiment, the wireless detection message sent by the AP1 may be generated in the manner provided in step 403 in the embodiment shown in fig. 4 of the present invention, so that when the wireless detection message is a Beacon message, the AP2 or the STA may determine, according to the SSID of the Beacon message, the sending antenna used by the AP1 to send the Beacon message, for example: when the SSID of the received Beacon message is BSSID _ N, the AP2 or the STA may determine that the sequence number of the transmitting antenna used by the AP1 to transmit the Beacon message is N; or, even if the AP1 is not in message interaction, the AP2 or the STA may obtain the wireless inspection message broadcasted by the AP1, and although the AP2 or the STA may not know the content of the wireless inspection message under the condition that the AP1 is not in message interaction, the AP2 or the STA may know the length of the wireless inspection message, so the AP2 or the STA may determine, according to the message length of the wireless inspection message, a transmitting antenna used by the AP1 to transmit the wireless inspection message, for example: when the message length of the received wireless detection message is "200 + N", the AP2 or the STA may determine that the sequence number of the transmitting antenna used by the AP1 to transmit the Beacon message is N.
In step 504, the AP2 or the STA determines whether the received signal strength is less than a predetermined threshold. If yes, go to step 505; if the AP2 or the STA determines that the received signal strength is greater than or equal to the predetermined threshold, step 506 is executed.
In this embodiment, the threshold may be calculated according to equation (1).
The threshold value is the transmission power + the transmission antenna gain-the path loss-the obstacle loss-the link boundary + the reception antenna gain; (1)
in general, the path loss is equal to the obstacle loss is equal to the link boundary is equal to 0; equation (1) can thus be simplified to:
the threshold value is the transmission power + the transmission antenna gain + the reception antenna gain; (2)
in the formula (1) and the formula (2), the transmission power is the power used when the AP1 transmits the wireless detection packet.
In addition, when the detection device (AP2 or STA) is far from the AP1, since the difference between the received signal strengths when the transmitting antenna is operating normally and when a failure occurs is very large, the threshold may be set to 0.
And 505, determining that the transmitting antenna used by the AP1 for transmitting the wireless detection message has a fault by the AP2 or the STA, and performing fault alarm. Step 506 is then performed.
Specifically, when the transmitting antenna of the AP1 fails, the transmitting antenna gain is 0, and the received signal strength of the wireless detection packet received by the AP2 or the STA is much smaller than the threshold, so that when the received signal strength is smaller than the threshold, the AP2 or the STA may determine that the transmitting antenna used by the AP1 to transmit the wireless detection packet fails.
In step 506, the AP2 or STA determines whether to end the detection.
Specifically, the AP2 or the STA may determine whether all the transmission antennas of the AP1 have been detected; if not, returning to execute the step 502; if the AP2 or STA determines that all the transmission antennas of the AP1 have been detected, the detection is finished.
The embodiment can realize the detection of the antennas of the AP1 in a software manner without the support of additional hardware, and the embodiment detects each antenna with high accuracy, and can detect the antennas only by powering on the AP1, and the AP2 or the STA does not need to perform message interaction with the AP 1. In addition, the method provided by the embodiment can detect when all the antennas of the AP1 have faults, and is convenient to popularize and use.
The embodiment of the invention is not only suitable for detecting the antenna of a single device, but also suitable for detecting the antenna of each device in a large-scale wireless network. Fig. 6 is a schematic diagram of another embodiment of an application scenario of the present invention, and in fig. 6, an AP1, an AP2, and an AP3 perform message interaction with a wireless controller (access controller; hereinafter, referred to as AC) through a switch.
The AP1, AP2, and AP3 may perform antenna detection for each other detecting device and device to be detected, for example: when the AP1 is a device to be detected, the AP2 or the AP3 may be used as a detection device to detect the antenna of the AP1 by using the method provided by the embodiment of the present invention shown in fig. 1 to 5; when the AP2 is a device to be detected, the AP1 or the AP3 may be used as a detection device to detect the antenna of the AP2 by using the method provided by the embodiment of the present invention shown in fig. 1 to 5; when the AP3 is a device to be detected, the AP1 or the AP2 may be used as a detection device to detect the antenna of the AP1 by using the method provided by the embodiment shown in fig. 1 to 5 of the present invention.
In the scenario shown in fig. 6 of the present invention, the wireless detection packet may be a neighbor packet, different transmitting antennas under different APs are distinguished by adding a private packet to the neighbor packet, and finally, each AP transmits its antenna detection result for APs other than itself to the AC, and the AC performs final statistics:
a. those APs not detected by any AP are listed as suspect APs;
b. if the suspected AP does not detect the antennas of other APs, further eliminating the deployment problem, and if the deployment is not problematic (for example: the suspected AP is not an island on the deployment), listing the suspected AP as a failed AP;
c. if the suspected AP itself has antenna detection for other APs, it may be determined that the suspected AP is not faulty, but that the APs around the suspected AP are faulty, and the message sent by the suspected AP is not received.
The antenna detection method provided by the embodiment of the invention can quickly complete antenna detection on all APs in a software mode in a large-scale wireless network, and collects the detection result to the AC to provide for users without testing one area by one user, thereby greatly improving the detection efficiency.
The antenna detection method provided by the embodiment of the invention does not need the modification and support of hardware, and any AP capable of working normally can adopt the method to detect the antenna; the normal work of the AP is not influenced, and the AP can adopt a background scanning mode (namely the AP leaves or does not leave a working channel of the AP to carry out other radio frequency transceiving work within a very short time, and the normal wireless communication is not influenced) to send a wireless detection message; the antenna detection method provided by the embodiment of the invention has no limitation on the number of the antennas of the AP, and the allowable range of the number of the antennas is from 1 to N. The antenna detection method provided by the embodiment of the invention is convenient for practical application, and does not need to carry out prior adjustment or factory test on the AP; and the antenna detection can be started according to actual needs, and can also be started regularly. Because the antenna detection method provided by the embodiment of the invention sequentially detects each antenna, if one antenna of the AP breaks down, the strength of the transmitted signal is obviously reduced, and even the transmitted signal is unavailable (for example, the detection equipment cannot receive the signal transmitted by the antenna which breaks down by the AP), so that the antenna detection method provided by the embodiment of the invention has higher accuracy.

In an implementation manner of this embodiment, the determining module 82 may determine, according to the SSID of the wireless detection packet, a serial number of a transmitting antenna used by the device to be detected to transmit the wireless detection packet, where the wireless detection packet may be a beacon packet.
