Description

MBMS service statistics feedback method and terminal
Technical Field
The present invention relates to the field of mobile communications, and in particular, to a method and a terminal for MBMS (Multimedia broadcast multicast Service) Service statistics feedback.
Background
With the rapid development of the internet and the popularization of large-screen multifunctional mobile phones, a large number of mobile data multimedia services and various high-bandwidth multimedia services appear, such as: video conference, television broadcasting, video on demand, video advertisement, online education, interactive games and the like, not only meet the continuously rising business requirements of mobile users, but also bring new business growth points for mobile operators. These mobile data multimedia services require that multiple users can receive the same data at the same time, and compared with general data services, the mobile data multimedia services have the characteristics of large data volume, long duration, time delay sensitivity and the like. In order to effectively utilize mobile network resources, the third Generation Partnership Project (3rd Generation Partnership Project, 3GPP) proposes an MBMS (multimedia broadcast Multicast Service), which is a technology for transmitting data from a data source to a plurality of targets, realizes sharing of network (including a core network and an access network) resources, and improves utilization of network resources (especially air interface resources). The MBMS service defined by 3GPP can not only implement pure text low-rate message multicast and broadcast, but also implement broadcast and multicast of high-speed multimedia service, and provide a variety of rich video, audio, and multimedia services, which undoubtedly follows the development trend of future mobile data, and provides better service prospects for the development of 3G (3rd Generation, third Generation digital communication).
In the existing UMTS (Universal Mobile telecommunications System), in order to obtain the receiving status of the MBMS service at the UE side, an MBMS statistics feedback mechanism is introduced at the network side, where MBMS ACCESS INFORMATION in the mechanism includes MBMS service INFORMATION and an ACCESS Probability Factor (PF) that are required to be counted, and the MBMS ACCESS INFORMATION is sent through an MCCH (Multicast control channel). That is, PF information in UMTS and MBMS service information that a network side requires to count are simultaneously sent to a UE through an MCCH, and part of information (such as PF information) in the MCCH in UMTS may be updated in an MCCH modification period, but in an LTE (Long Term Evolution) system, for example, information in the MCCH is not allowed to be updated in an MCCH modification period because the MCCH mechanism is different from the MCCH mechanism in UMTS. Thus, in LTE, PF information is no longer suitable for being carried in MCCH. In the existing LTE system, a PF information sending mechanism is not provided, so that a terminal cannot participate in MBMS service statistics.
Disclosure of Invention
The technical problem to be solved by the present invention is to provide a method and a terminal for MBMS service statistics feedback, so that in an LTE system, PF information can be sent, and the terminal can participate in MBMS service statistics.
In order to solve the above technical problem, an embodiment of the present invention provides a method for MBMS service statistics feedback, which is applied to a long term evolution LTE system, and includes:
a terminal acquires a Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service (MBMS) statistical message sent by a network side;
the terminal confirms whether to participate in the counting process of the MBMS according to the MBMS information in the MBMS counting message;
if so, the terminal acquires access Probability Factor (PF) information from other messages different from the MBMS counting message in the MBMS counting process;
the terminal judges whether to feed back to a network side according to the PF information;
and if so, sending feedback information to the network side.
The step of the terminal obtaining the multimedia broadcast multicast service MBMS statistics message sent by the network side specifically includes:
and the terminal acquires the MBMS statistical message from the MCCH message received through the multicast control channel MCCH.
The specific steps of the terminal determining whether to participate in the counting process of the MBMS according to the MBMS information in the MBMS counting message are as follows:
the terminal judges whether the MBMS service corresponding to the MBMS service information is being received or the MBMS service corresponding to the MBMS service information to be received is received according to the MBMS service information in the MBMS statistical message; if yes, participating in the MBMS service counting process.
The step of acquiring, by the terminal, access probability factor PF information from other messages different from the MBMS statistics message in the MBMS service statistics process of this time specifically is:
and the terminal acquires PF information sent by the current counting period from other messages different from the MBMS counting message in the MBMS counting process.
The step of acquiring, by the terminal, PF information sent in the current counting period from other messages different from the MBMS counting message in the current MBMS service counting process is specifically:
the terminal acquires the wireless frame and/or subframe information of the PF information from an MCCH message received through a multicast control channel MCCH or a BCCH message received through a broadcast control channel BCCH;
and the terminal determines the subframe in which the PF information of the current statistical period appears according to the wireless frame and/or subframe information, and acquires the PF information from the subframe.
The terminal judges whether to feed back to a network side according to the PF information; if yes, the step of sending feedback information to the network side specifically includes:
the terminal randomly generates a random number, and if the random number is less than or equal to the numerical value represented by the PF information, the terminal sends feedback information to a network side in the current statistical period; otherwise, the terminal does not send feedback information to the network side in the current statistical period.
Wherein the random number is a value between 0 and 1.
The embodiment of the invention also provides a terminal, which is applied to a method for counting and feeding back the Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service (MBMS) in a Long Term Evolution (LTE) system, and comprises the following steps:
the acquiring module is used for acquiring Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service (MBMS) statistical information sent by a network side;
the processing module is used for confirming whether to participate in the MBMS service counting process according to the MBMS service information in the MBMS counting message; if the MBMS service is participated in, controlling the obtaining module to obtain the access Probability Factor (PF) information from other information different from the MBMS counting information in the MBMS service counting process;
the feedback module is used for judging whether to feed back to a network side according to the PF information; and if so, sending feedback information to the network side.
The processing module is specifically configured to determine whether an MBMS service corresponding to the MBMS service information is being received or an MBMS service corresponding to the MBMS service information to be received is received according to the MBMS service information in the MBMS statistics message; if yes, participating in the MBMS service counting process, and further controlling the obtaining module to obtain the access probability factor PF information in the MBMS service counting process.
The feedback module is specifically configured to randomly generate a random number, and if the random number is less than or equal to the value indicated by the PF information, send feedback information to a network side in a current counting period of the MBMS service counting process; otherwise, no feedback information is sent to the network side in the current statistical period.
The technical scheme of the invention has the following beneficial effects:
in the scheme, the terminal receives the MBMS statistical message firstly, judges whether to participate in the MBMS statistical process according to the MBMS service information in the MBMS statistical message, receives the PF information if the MBMS statistical message participates, and judges whether to feed back to a network side according to the PF information; therefore, when the terminal does not participate in the counting process of the MBMS, the PF information does not need to be received, namely the MBMS counting message and the PF information are respectively and independently received, and the PF information is received on the premise that the terminal is determined to participate in the counting process of the MBMS; in the LTE system, PF information can be sent, the terminal can participate in the MBMS service counting process, and the unnecessary information receiving of the terminal in the counting process is reduced, so that the electric energy of the terminal is saved.

Detailed Description
In order to make the technical problems, technical solutions and advantages of the present invention more apparent, the following detailed description is given with reference to the accompanying drawings and specific embodiments.
The invention provides a method and a terminal for counting and feeding back MBMS (multimedia broadcast multicast service) service, which can send PF (packet data) information and enable the terminal to participate in MBMS counting, aiming at the problem that no PF (packet data) information sending mechanism exists in the existing LTE (long term evolution) system and further terminal equipment cannot participate in MBMS counting.
As shown in fig. 1, the method for MBMS service statistics feedback of the present invention is applied to a long term evolution LTE system, and includes:
step 11, the terminal obtains the multimedia broadcast multicast service MBMS statistical message sent by the network side;
step 12, the terminal confirms whether to participate in the MBMS service counting process according to the MBMS service information in the MBMS counting message; if so, the terminal acquires access Probability Factor (PF) information from other messages different from the MBMS counting message in the MBMS counting process;
step 13, the terminal judges whether to feed back to the network side according to the PF information; and if so, sending feedback information to the network side.
The method of the invention firstly receives the MBMS statistical message through the terminal, judges whether to participate in the MBMS statistical process according to the MBMS service information in the MBMS statistical message, receives the PF information if the MBMS statistical message participates, and judges whether to feed back to the network side according to the PF information; therefore, when the terminal does not participate in the counting process of the MBMS, the PF information does not need to be received, namely the MBMS counting message and the PF information are respectively and independently received, and the PF information is received on the premise that the terminal is determined to participate in the counting process of the MBMS; in the LTE system, PF information can be sent, the terminal can participate in the MBMS service counting process, and the unnecessary information receiving of the terminal in the counting process is reduced, so that the electric energy of the terminal is saved.
Wherein, the step 11 is specifically:
step 111, the terminal obtains the MBMS statistics message from the MCCH message received through the MCCH (multicast control channel).
In step 12, the step of determining whether to participate in the MBMS service counting process according to the MBMS service information in the MBMS counting message by the terminal specifically includes:
the terminal judges whether the MBMS service is being received or the MBMS service to be received according to the MBMS service information in the MBMS statistical message; if yes, participating in the MBMS service counting process.
In step 12, the step of acquiring, by the terminal, the access probability factor PF information from other messages different from the MBMS statistics message in the current MBMS service statistics process specifically includes:
and the terminal acquires PF information sent by the current counting period from other messages different from the MBMS counting message in the MBMS counting process.
Specifically, the step of acquiring, by the terminal, PF information sent in the current counting period from other messages different from the MBMS counting message in the current MBMS service counting process includes:
the terminal acquires the radio frame and/or subframe information of the PF information from an MCCH (multicast control channel) message received through an MCCH (multicast control channel) or a BCCH (broadcast control channel) message received through a broadcast control channel BCCH (broadcast control channel);
and the terminal determines the subframe in which the PF information of the current statistical period appears according to the wireless frame and/or subframe information, and acquires the PF information from the subframe.
Wherein, the step 13 is specifically:
the terminal randomly generates a random number, and if the random number is less than or equal to the numerical value represented by the PF information, the terminal sends feedback information to a network side in the current statistical period; otherwise, the feedback information is not sent to the network side in the current statistical period.
Preferably, the random number is a value between 0 and 1.
As shown in fig. 2, a specific implementation flow of the method shown in fig. 1 is shown, and the specific implementation flow includes:
the terminal receives and analyzes the MBMS statistical message sent by the network side;
the terminal judges whether the terminal needs to participate in the counting process according to the MBMS service information contained in the MBMS counting message (if the terminal is receiving the MBMS service or is about to receive the interested MBMS service, the terminal can decide to participate in the counting process, otherwise, the terminal does not participate in the counting process), if not, the counting process is ended, otherwise, the next step is entered;
a terminal receives MCCH or BCCH messages and acquires radio frame and/or subframe information pre-allocated by PF information in the MCCH or BCCH messages; it should be noted that: if the UE does not receive the MBMS statistical message, the UE does not receive the PF information and does not participate in the MBMS feedback at the moment;
the terminal acquires and analyzes PF information at a first PF information sending period in the MBMS service counting process according to the wireless frames and/or the subframes; as shown in fig. 3, the MBMS service counting process includes several counting periods, and PF information is sent once at the beginning or end of each counting period, where the time for sending the PF information is referred to as: the PF information sent at the PF information sending period, i.e. at the beginning or end of the first statistic period of the current MBMS service statistic process, is called: the PF information sent at the first period of PF information transmission, and the PF information sent at the beginning or end of the second period is referred to as: the PF information sent at the second PF information sending period is analogized in sequence;
the terminal judges whether the terminal needs to feed back according to the PF information sent at the first PF information period (if the terminal generates a random number, if the random number is less than or equal to the numerical value indicated by the PF information, the terminal needs to feed back to the network side, otherwise, the terminal can not feed back), if so, the terminal sends feedback information to the network side, otherwise, the terminal judges whether the MBMS service counting process is finished, if so, the terminal finishes, otherwise, the terminal receives and analyzes the PF information at the second PF information sending period, then the terminal judges whether the terminal needs to send feedback information to the network side according to the PF information at the second PF information sending period, and so on until the MBMS service counting process is finished.
The method of the invention mainly comprises that UE (terminal) receives MBMS statistical information sent by a network side (the MBMS statistical information does not contain MBMS access probability factor but contains MBMS service information needed to be counted by the network side), the UE judges whether to participate in the MBMS service statistical process initiated by the network side according to the MBMS service information, if the UE needs to participate, the UE receives PF information (PF information is periodically sent in the MBMS statistical process, PF value of each time is possibly updated), and judges whether to participate in feedback according to the PF information; otherwise, the UE does not participate in the MBMS statistics.
The UE judges whether to participate in the MBMS service statistical process of the network side according to the MBMS service information, and the method specifically comprises the following steps:
if the MBMS service counting process is directed at the MBMS service being sent, the UE judges whether the UE is receiving the MBMS service corresponding to the MBMS service information; if so, the UE participates in the statistical process; otherwise, the UE does not participate in the statistical process; or,
the UE judges whether to participate in the MBMS service statistical process of the network side according to the MBMS service information, and the method specifically comprises the following steps:
if the MBMS service counting process is directed at the unsent MBMS service, the UE judges whether the UE is interested in receiving the MBMS service corresponding to the MBMS service information; if yes, the UE participates in the MBMS service counting process; otherwise, the UE does not participate in the MBMS service counting process.
Further, if the UE determines to participate in the MBMS service counting process, the UE may determine a subframe in which PF information appears according to radio frame and/or subframe information of PF information sent in the MCCH or BCCH, then the UE starts to receive the PF information sent in the first PF information sending period in the counting process, and according to the received PF information, the UE randomly generates a value between 0 and 1, compares the value with the value corresponding to the received PF information to determine whether the UE participates in sending feedback information to the network side in the first counting period, and if the UE determines to participate in feedback in the first counting period, the UE completes the MBMS counting process after the feedback is completed. If the UE determines that the UE does not participate in the feedback in the first counting period, the UE needs to continue to receive the PF information sent in the second PF information sending period, and determine whether the UE can participate in the feedback in the second counting period again, and so on until the UE completes the feedback of the UE or the UE receives a command sent by the network side to terminate the MBMS counting process.
The purpose of the PF information is to provide UE with a percentage of value information, the description form of the value may be various, for example, 30 is used to describe 30%, 0.1 is used to describe 10%, etc., but finally, a percentage of value is expressed through calculation, the purpose of the value is to compare with the value randomly generated by the UE, if the value generated by the UE is less than or equal to the value corresponding to the PF information, the UE needs to send feedback information to the network side, otherwise, the UE receives the next PF information and continues to repeat the above process; the PF information mainly selects part of the UEs to feed back in a statistical period, so that resource shortage brought to a network side due to too many UEs fed back at the same time can be avoided.
The network side may be: an evolved node b (eNB), a relay (relay), a cell Coordination Entity (MCE), a Broadcast Multicast Service Center (BMSC), a MBMS gateway (MBMS GW, MBMS gateway), and the like.
The following describes, with reference to a specific embodiment, a specific implementation of the MBMS service statistics feedback process:
example 1: in this embodiment, it is assumed that the network side performs statistical feedback for the MBMS service being transmitted:
it is assumed that in a certain MBSFN (Multimedia Broadcast multicast service single frequency Network) area, a Network side initiates MBMS statistics for a certain MBMS service being sent, and further, in LTE, it is not determined whether an MBMS statistics message (in the present embodiment, the statistics message includes MBMS service information that the Network side needs to count, and does not include PF information), how to send and where to send, and this embodiment assumes that the Network side sends in the MCCH. If a certain UE is supposed to receive the MBMS service, when the UE receives an MBMS statistics message sent by a network side, the UE needs to determine whether the UE is receiving the MBMS service that the MBMS statistics message sent by the network side needs to be counted, if the UE is not receiving, the UE terminates the current MBMS statistics process of the network side, and if the UE is receiving, the UE needs to participate in the current MBMS statistics process initiated by the network side; in this case, the UE continues to perform the following procedure:
the method comprises the steps that UE receives PF information sent in the MBMS counting process, wherein the UE needs to determine the sending position of the PF information before receiving the PF information, and specifically, the UE can acquire the sending position information of the PF information through an MCCH or a BCCH; preferably, the UE receives PF information sent in a first PF information sending period in the current MBMS counting process, then the UE randomly generates a value between 0 and 1, and compares the value with the value corresponding to the received PF information, if the value generated by the UE is less than or equal to the value corresponding to the PF information received by the UE, the UE sends its feedback information to the network side in the first period in the current counting process, and then ends the current MBMS counting process of the UE. If the value generated by the UE is greater than the value corresponding to the PF information received by the UE, the UE does not send its feedback information to the network side in the first counting period in the counting process, the UE judges whether the MBMS counting process is finished, if the MBMS counting process is finished, the UE finishes the feedback, if the MBMS counting process is not finished, the UE needs to continue to receive the PF information sent by the second PF information sending period in the feedback counting process, and then the UE continues the operation of the first counting period until the UE finishes the feedback of the MBMS counting process, or the UE receives a command for terminating the MBMS counting by the network side.
Embodiment 2, this embodiment describes that the network side performs statistical feedback on an MBMS service that is not started to be transmitted:
it is assumed that in a certain MBSFN area, a network side initiates MBMS statistics for a certain MBMS service that is not started to be transmitted, and further, how to transmit and transmit a MBMS statistics message (the MBMS statistics message in this embodiment includes MBMS service information that the network side needs to perform statistics, and does not include PF information) and a position of transmission are not determined in LTE at present. It is assumed that a UE is interested in the MBMS service, where the interest is shown in the UE that the UE is listening to the MCCH update notification message to wait for the start of transmission of the MBMS service. When the UE receives the MBMS statistical message sent by the network side, the UE needs to determine whether the UE is interested in receiving the MBMS service which needs to be counted by the MBMS statistical message sent by the network side, if the UE is not interested in receiving, the UE terminates the MBMS counting of the network side, and if the UE is interested in receiving, the UE needs to participate in the MBMS counting process initiated by the network side; in this case, the UE continues to perform the following procedure:
and the UE receives the PF information sent in the MBMS counting process. Here, before receiving PF information, the UE needs to first determine the transmission location of the PF information; specifically, the UE may obtain the sending location information of the PF information through the MCCH or BCCH; preferably, the UE receives PF information sent in a first PF information sending period in the current MBMS counting process, then the UE randomly generates a value between 0 and 1, and compares the value with the value corresponding to the received PF information, if the value generated by the UE is less than or equal to the value corresponding to the PF information received by the UE, the UE sends its feedback information to the network side in the first counting period in the current counting process, and after the UE successfully feeds back the feedback information, the current MBMS counting process of the UE is ended. If the value generated by the UE is greater than the value corresponding to the PF information received by the UE, the UE does not send its feedback information to the network side within the first counting period in the current counting process, the UE needs to continue receiving the PF information sent at the second PF information sending period in the current feedback counting process, and then the UE continues the operation of the first counting period until the UE completes the feedback of the current MBMS counting process, or the UE receives a command for the network side to terminate the current MBMS counting.
In summary, the method of the present invention provides a mechanism for sending PF information and a corresponding process in which UE participates in MBMS feedback statistics in an LTE system, and in the method of the present invention, the principle of independently receiving MBMS statistics information and PF information is adopted, and PF information is received again on the premise that UE determines to participate in feedback.
The embodiment of the invention also provides a terminal, which is applied to a Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service (MBMS) statistical feedback method in a Long Term Evolution (LTE) system, and the terminal comprises the following steps:
the acquiring module is used for acquiring Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service (MBMS) statistical information sent by a network side;
the processing module is used for confirming whether to participate in the MBMS service counting process according to the MBMS service information in the MBMS counting message; if the MBMS service is participated in, controlling the obtaining module to obtain the access Probability Factor (PF) information from other information different from the MBMS counting information in the MBMS service counting process;
the feedback module is used for judging whether to feed back to a network side according to the PF information; and if so, sending feedback information to the network side.
The processing module is specifically configured to determine whether an MBMS service is being received or an interested MBMS service is to be received according to MBMS service information in the MBMS statistics message; if yes, the terminal participates in the counting process of the MBMS, and further controls the obtaining module to obtain the access probability factor PF information in the counting process of the MBMS from other information different from the counting information of the MBMS.
Specifically, the obtaining module obtains PF information sent in the current counting period in the current MBMS service counting process from other messages different from the MBMS counting message; specifically, the method comprises the following steps:
the terminal acquires wireless frame and/or subframe information of the PF information from an MCCH (multicast control channel) message received through an MCCH (multicast control channel) or a BCCH (broadcast control channel) message received through a BCCH (broadcast control channel);
and the terminal determines the subframe in which the PF information of the current statistical period appears according to the wireless frame and/or subframe information, and acquires the PF information from the subframe.
The feedback module is specifically configured to randomly generate a random number, and if the random number is less than or equal to the value indicated by the PF information, send feedback information to the network side in the current counting period of the MBMS service counting process; otherwise, no feedback information is sent to the network side in the current statistical period.
Specifically, the feedback module generates a random number, and if the random number is less than or equal to a value indicated by PF information sent at the beginning or end of a first counting period, sends feedback information to the network side in the first counting period of the MBMS service counting process; otherwise, not sending feedback information to the network side in the first statistical period; continuously receiving PF information sent at the beginning or the end of a second statistical period, and generating a random number, if the random number is less than or equal to the PF information sent by the second statistical period, sending feedback information to a network side in the second statistical period; otherwise, not sending; and analogizing in turn until the statistical process is finished or feedback information is sent to the network side, and finishing the process.
The terminal of the invention can execute the PF information sending mechanism and the corresponding MBMS feedback counting process of the terminal in the LTE system by the obtaining module, the processing module and the feedback module, and the terminal adopts the principle that the MBMS counting information and the PF information are independently received, and receives the PF information on the premise that the terminal determines to participate in the feedback.
While the foregoing is directed to the preferred embodiment of the present invention, it will be understood by those skilled in the art that various changes and modifications may be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as defined in the appended claims.
