Abstract

技术领域
本发明涉及一种用于减少铸造合金中的填隙元素的方法。更具体而言,本发明涉及一种用于减少钢铸件(casting)中的氢的方法。
本发明还涉及一种用于实施所述方法的***,该***可被集成到铸模中或连铸***中。
背景技术
在本文本中,称谓“填隙元素”指的是如下的这些原子,所述原子由于其相对于合金中的主要元素具有小尺寸,能够填隙式扩散,即,通过金属晶格中的空间,而不需要移动其他原子在晶格中的位置。在各种合金(诸如钢)的实例中,诸如氢、氮、碳等原子可表现得如同填隙元素。
已知氢是一种能够导致钢组分脆变的填隙元素。具体而言,在高强度合金中,对于氢脆变的敏感更加明显。
许多机制已被描述为造成所述脆变的原因。只要温度未降低到指定阈值以下,使得所讨论的填隙元素具有减小的迁移率以及不足的溶度并且往往会与其他元素结合形成脆变化合物,这些机制就不开始出现。
已知氢从一个金相到另一个金相具有不同的溶度,同时,随着温度增加,在每个金相内的溶度增加。例如,在固相钢的实例中,氢的溶度在以下范围内,即在高温奥氏体(1400℃)中为8ppm,在室温铁素体中小于1ppm,以及在1600℃的液相中则为大约30ppm。
可以认为,填隙元素的扩散现象主要受晶格中的填隙原子的热搅动控制,即,在较高温度下,有较大的热搅动,从而产生较大的扩散概率。尽管通常考虑的情况是出现从高浓度区域朝向较低浓度区域的扩散流动(flux),但这并不是唯一可能的情形。严格来讲,扩散流动背后的驱动力是***的自由能减少。再准确而言,扩散从高化学势的区域朝向较低化学势的区域进行。
但是,能够看到,只要原子迁移率足够大,在缺少会导致更大流动的组分差异或其他因素的情况下,高温度梯度也会导致填隙元素朝向更高温度区域的净流动。产生该效果的一方面原因是,由于处于更高温度的区域处于较低饱和态,它们具有较高的溶度,因此在相同温度条件下它们将比处于较高饱和的区域具有较低的化学势。另一方面原因是,随着温度增加,朝向高温度区域的流动被原子迁移率的增加所激励。
氢在金属合金中(尤其是在钢中)的存在是由于以下多种原因引起的,即,在原材料或设备中存在湿度或者设备中存在的化合物的分解,以及在合金铸造和提炼过程中进行的动作,例如其中将氢吹过熔融金属以去除其他元素,最终结果导致使用的氢的一部分保留溶解在熔融金属中。
在铸造过程中,穿过铸模的壁或者从铸造金属的自由面中,从金属中抽热。
以这样的方式,铸造金属从铸件的表面到中心总体冷却。即,铸件的中心保持在高于其表面的温度,产生从表面朝向中心的渐增的温度梯度。
这样显著的温度梯度,在填隙元素诸如氢仍然具有高迁移率的温度下,产生填隙元素朝向铸件中心的流动,因为相对于处于较低温度的邻近区域,中心具有较高的温度以及具有溶解所述元素的较大能力。
这样的扩散流动倾向于将所讨论的填隙元素的总含量集中在铸件的中心区域中。
由于氢对所产生的组件的机械特性具有破坏作用,惯例上使用不同的***来去除氢。
这些***可以分为两类:在精炼过程中使用某些添加剂;或者将熔融金属暴露至较低压力。
这些方法中的第一类包括添加精炼元素或物质,所述精炼元素或物质会与氢(或其他元素)结合,并且形成可溶性物质,接下来这些可溶性物质可在精炼过程中被去除。
第二类***包括将熔融金属暴露至具有较低压力的环境下,因为氢在熔融金属中的可溶性受压力,以及温度和晶格的影响。
该第二类***产生较好的氢去除率,但是代价是大幅增加了对必须设备的投入。就此而言,第一类***需要小得多的投入,但是它却具有较低的氢去除率,使得其效率较低。此外,该第一类***具有额外的问题,即,必然包含对合金组分的修改。
因此,显然需要一种如下的方法,该方法在铸造过程中减少填隙元素——尤其是氢,而不修改合金组分(除了填隙元素本身),此外,不需要在真空铸造和精炼情况下的大投入。
发明内容
上述缺点通过本发明的方法和***而解决,本发明具有的其他优点将在下文被描述。
根据第一个方面,本发明的用于减少合金铸件中的填隙元素的方法,所述填隙元素选自氢、碳、氮、硼或氩,其特征在于,铸造所述合金包括以下步骤:
将所述合金注入一个用于形成铸件或连铸件的***中;
在允许所述合金冷却时,加热所述铸件的至少一个***区域或热点,以使渐增的温度梯度被推向铸件的表面上的所述至少一个***区域或热点;以及
将铸件表面的所述至少一个***区域或热点保持在高于铸件的其他部分的温度,所述温度梯度使得所述填隙元素的流动朝向表面或热点,而非朝向铸件的中心。
由于该特征,一种方法在其中大部分填隙元素集中在铸件的表面区域的一个或多个区域中的情况下实现。然后,借助于铸件的热表面处理或表面加工,可从这些区域轻易去除这样的填隙元素。
优选地,在合金冷却到低得足以形成脆变化合物的温度之前,至少一个***区域或热点被加热。
根据不同的优选实施方案,所述至少一个***区域或热点以900℃到合金的熔点之间的温度被加热。
优选地,保持对每个***区域或热点的所述加热,直到工件(thepiece)的不同于所述***区域或热点的部分处于低于400℃的温度为止。
根据不同的优选实施方案,所述填隙元素是氢、碳、氮、硼、氩、或者其他填隙元素,或者在合金基质中具有高扩散性的其他元素,所述合金是钢合金、铁、铜、镍、钛、钴、铬或具有大于800℃的熔点的其他合金,以及具有较低熔点的合金,诸如铝合金。
根据第二方面,本发明的用于减少合金铸件中的填隙元素的***,其特征在于,该***包括:一个铸造条或铸模、至少一个加热元件以及一个控制***,该加热元件位于所述铸造条或铸模的一个***区域或热点上,所述控制***用于调节使已加热的***区域或热点的温度高于铸件的其他部分的温度,直到不同于所述***区域或热点的铸件的任何部分被减小到低于临界温度,使得所述填隙元素的流动朝向表面或热点,而非朝向铸件的中心。

具体实施方式
首先,必须指出,尽管本说明书对应于在钢铸造中减少氢的情况,但本发明的方法的应用范围扩展至其中希望减少溶解氢或任何其他填隙元素的数量的任意合金铸造,所述其他填隙元素诸如,例如碳、氮、硼等等。
与前述技术的方法不同,根据本发明的方法,所存在的渐增的温度梯度被推向工件的表面上的一个或多个点以使得填隙元素的流动朝向表面发生,而非朝向铸件的中心。
以这样的方式,将通过简单扩散通过工件的表面来从铸件去除填隙元素,其他残余将集中在表面附近的区域,使得借助于铸件的随后的热表面处理和/或表面加工将其轻易去除。
为了获得有利于推动填隙元素朝向铸件表面流动的温度梯度,需要在凝固和冷却过程中,将铸件表面的至少一个区域保持在足够高的温度,使得该区域被保持在高于铸件的其他部分的较高温度,直至所述过程结束。
在希望去除诸如氢元素——所述元素往往会与其他原子结合形成脆变化合物——的情况下,重要的是应确保在工件冷却到发生所述脆变化合物生成反应的温度以前,开始该方法。
如附图中可见,所述***——在该实例中为铸模——总体被表示为数字参考标记1,其包括加热元件2。
应指出,尽管出于简明起见在附图中示出了一个加热元件2,但应清楚,视铸模的形状和尺寸而定,可以有任意合适数目的加热元件。
所述或每一个加热元件2被集成到铸模壁中并且在将熔融合金浇注到铸模中的过程中就开始工作,所述或每一个加热元件2由电感线圈或电阻器或任意合适的加热元件组成,所述电感线圈被适当保护以免被液态金属破坏。
所述加热元件的一个要求是,其必须被以如下距离构造进铸模中,所述距离足以靠近铸模的内表面并且可靠地允许工件的表面区域被保持在合适温度。
所述加热元件的另一基本要求是其忍受高于合金的熔点的温度的能力,尤其是忍受在注入铸模时产生的热冲击的能力。
例如,在处理铸钢工件的情况下,保持的温度可超过1400℃,熔融金属的温度可超过1600℃。
在将电阻器用作加热元件的情况下,其可被构造进入铸模的壁中,被例如耐高温合金或者陶瓷耐火材料围绕和保护,甚至在砂型铸造的实例中可被集成到铸模的壁中。
与使用电感线圈的实例相比,使用电阻器的加热元件被认为更坚固且更便宜,并且可能需要更简单的控制***,但是它们呈现出较大的热滞后。
如果使用电感线圈来实现加热元件,周围的材料必须是非传导的,以防止产生感生电流,因为这些感生电流会加热所述加热元件或者铸模的壁,而非铸件的表面。
每个加热元件2连接至温度传感器3、控制***4和能量供给***5。
控制***4被要求用于调整加热***区域(或热点)的温度,并且可类似于通常用于自动表面感应热处理的那些***。
另外,温度传感器3的类型和布置必须适于防止由感应线圈所产生的磁场使温度测量失真,并且该温度传感器必须被定位使得其直接测量铸件的表面的温度。
在这方面而言,与基于电阻器的加热元件相比,基于感应线圈的加热元件2被认为需要稍微更高的投入,但是具有允许更快且准确调节所获得的温度的优点。
图1的铸模的替代实施方案被呈现在图3中,图3描述了将所述方法应用于连铸***。在该实施方案中,相同的数字参考标记被保持用于标记与前述实施方案中相同的元件。
图3中示出了一个连铸***10,其主要功能与铸模的功能相同。
在该实例中,熔融金属被沉积在分配槽11中,从该分配槽中所述熔融金属借助于冷却锭模(cooled ingot mould)13形成铸造条12。
在锭模13的出口,铸造条12的一侧借助于冷却部分14被冷却,而加热元件2被定位接触铸造条12的其中一个表面。加热元件的理想布置是邻近于锭模13的出口以及沿着制冷部分14在该制冷部分的相对侧。

一旦中心达到所述临界温度,应用至加热元件的功率可被缓慢减小,这永远保证热点处于高于铸件的中心区域的较高温度,直到热点和中心区域都低于临界温度。将中心冷却到临界温度以下所必需的时间可通过一些简单的关于铸模和铸件冷却的建模来估计。

——加热元件可被实施(或者集成到铸模壁中,或者可拆卸附接至铸模壁)的可能性。
Claims (10)
1.用于减少合金铸件中的填隙元素的方法,所述填隙元素选自氢、碳、氮、硼或氩,其特征在于,铸造所述合金包括以下步骤:
浇注所述合金用于形成铸件;
在允许所述合金冷却时,加热所述铸件的至少一个***区域或热点,以使渐增的温度梯度被推向铸件的表面上的所述至少一个***区域或热点;以及
将铸件表面的所述至少一个***区域或热点保持在高于铸件的其他部分的温度,所述温度梯度使得所述填隙元素的流动朝向表面或热点,而非朝向铸件的中心。
2.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其中在合金冷却到足以形成脆变化合物的温度之前对至少一个***区域或热点进行加热。
3.根据权利要求2所述的方法,其中至少一个***区域或热点以400℃到铸造合金的熔点之间的温度被加热。
4.根据前述权利要求中任一项所述的方法,其特征在于,保持对所述***区域或热点、或每个***区域或热点的所述加热,直到工件的不同于所述***区域或热点的部分处于低于400℃的温度为止。
5.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其中所述填隙元素是氢、碳、氮、硼、氩以及其他在合金基质中具有高扩散性的元素。
6.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其中所述合金是钢、铁、铜、镍、钛、钴、铬或其他具有大于800℃的熔点的合金。
7.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其中所述合金是铝合金。
8.用于根据前述权利要求任一项的方法来减少合金铸件中的填隙元素的***(1;10),其特征在于,该***包括:一个铸造条(12)或铸模、至少一个加热元件(2)以及一个控制***(4),该加热元件位于所述铸造条(12)或铸模的一个***区域或热点上,所述控制***(4)用于调节使已加热的***区域或热点的温度高于铸件的其他部分的温度,直到不同于所述***区域或热点的铸件的任何部分被减小到低于临界温度,使得所述填隙元素的流动朝向表面或热点,而非朝向铸件的中心。
9.根据权利要求8所述的***(1;10),其中所述至少一个加热元件(2)是电阻器或感应线圈。
10.根据权利要求8所述的***(1;10),其中所述至少一个加热元件(2)连接至一个温度传感器(3)。
