技术领域
本产品和方法涉及泡罩包装(blister packaging),且更特定而言涉及适合于饮料片剂(beverage tablet)的泡罩包装。
背景技术
泡罩包装在本领域中已知提供对小消费品的包装。以其基本形式,泡罩包装可具有成型材料层和封盖层,成型材料层带有预成型泡罩腔(或多个腔),封盖层用于将产品(或多个产品)密封于成型材料层的每个腔内。通常,成型层可由可热成型的材料(诸如聚合物或其它塑料)或可压力成型的材料(诸如铝)制成。封盖层可为能破裂的且由密封材料制成,诸如纸、聚合物、铝箔或各种组合或层压件。泡罩腔可布置成许多配置,诸如成一系列以形成泡罩条带或者多个行和列,以形成(例如)2乘3泡罩包。常常形成泡罩腔为预期产品的整体形状以保持它就位使得在产品使用之前最小化移动和损坏。成型层常常是透明的以允许观察产品。

适合于包含在泡罩包装中的一种可食用产品是以粉末或片剂形式的单服水溶性饮料组合物。以粉末形式的组合物倾向于难以控制。替代方案是制备呈片剂形式的干饮料组合物。饮料片剂的一个挑战会是这种片剂可能不迅速地溶解于冷水中或者在正常生产、包装、装运和搬运条件下缺少适当结构强度以维持其完整性。对于饮料片剂组合物尤为如此,饮料片剂组合物需要在结构上足够强以被推动穿过泡罩包的封盖层,但具有足够低的密度以允许它们迅速溶解。

发明内容

实施例可包括用于储存和分配各个产品(individual products)的泡罩包装,其可具有成型层和封盖层(lidding layer),成型层具有在约50微米至500微米范围内的突缘(flange)和至少一个泡罩腔,该至少一个泡罩腔具有限定开口顶部的周边且尺寸适于保持产品;封盖层在约25微米至140微米厚的范围内,其被密封到至少一个泡罩腔的开口顶部的周边的至少一部分,该封盖层被配置成可通过抵靠产品向成型层施加至多15磅的力而破裂,该产品具有在约3.5Kp至4.5Kp(千克力)范围内的硬度。
在一实施例中,泡罩包装成型层可为约75微米厚范围内的PCTFE且封盖层约75微米厚。
在另一实施例中,泡罩包装可具有成型层,成型层是层压件(laminate),其包括结合到约35微米至55微米厚范围内的PE EVOH PE层的约50微米至约120微米厚范围内的PCTFE层,和结合到PEEVOH PE层的约200微米至约350微米厚范围内的PVC层。

具体实施方式
本文提供泡罩包装的实施例,其可具有刚性成型层和可破裂的封盖层,适合于容易地移除低密度产品,同时在使用之前维持气密密封。示范性产品可包括任意多种食品,包括(但不限于)速溶调味饮料片剂。在某些实施例中,在泡罩包装的密封腔内的湿度水平可通过使用向成型层的泡罩腔以不同程度(varying degree)暴露的封盖层内的吸湿层(诸如干燥剂)而维持。在其它实施例中,产品形状还可辅助使封盖层破裂以移除产品的能力。实施例也可具有刻痕特征(例如,使用激光)以增强可破裂性。本文所述的实施例大体上示出适合于包含多个产品的泡罩包装,但在这些实施例中可考虑任意多个泡罩腔。举例而言,在一实施例中,提供每个泡罩包装6个片剂(例如,在图1和图7至图10中示出的2乘3配置)。
如下文所述,单服产品可放置于每个泡罩腔内,但其它实施例可提供每个腔内多个产品。本实施例可促进无污染共用和产品便携性。一个片剂或一组片剂向大气的暴露不会导致其它片剂向大气暴露,因为每个泡罩腔被气密地密封。这可允许其余密封的产品延长的保存期(诸如至少2个月)。在下文所述的具有向泡罩腔暴露的添加的密封吸湿层的实施例中,保存期可甚至进一步延长至约12个月至24个月。
泡罩腔可选地在成型层中泡罩腔中每一个之间具有弱线(未图示)使得各个泡罩腔可从泡罩包移除。弱线可通过穿孔而形成。在使用中,消费者仍可选择保持泡罩容器为一件直到片剂用完以减少垃圾。
现转至附图,在图1中示出用于产品12的本泡罩包装10的优选实施例,其具有成型层24,成型层24具有突缘区域36和由封盖层38密封的多个泡罩腔32。图1的实施例示出可选的纸板外盒34。应当指出的是任意多个泡罩腔32是可能的。为了易于理解,图2示出单个泡罩腔32的一实施例的顶视图。成型层24可气密地密封到封盖层38,如由图3中的截面所示。

封盖层38可由使用者容易地破裂或可选地揭开以提供产品接近。在封盖层38被揭开(即,不破裂)的实施例中,密封剂层29可为涂覆于封盖层38与成型层24的突缘36之间的压敏粘合剂(PSA)。
封盖层38优选地通过向成型层24的泡罩腔32施加力而破裂,特别是对于总厚度大于25微米的实施例。施加到成型层24的力被转移到产品12,然后转移到封盖层38。产品配置和封盖可破裂性应在破裂和移除期间维持产品完整性。在大于25微米的实施例中,封盖层38可优选地通过添加刻痕线26而弱化,以辅助推动产品/片剂穿过。弱线(或多个弱线)26(参看图2和图3)可置于封盖层38跨越泡罩腔32的位置以便于使封盖38破裂,诸如通过激光刻划。封盖层38弱线26可选地置于邻近产品直角或其它尖锐边缘44(若存在)处。应当指出的是在刻痕线26添加到封盖层38外的情况下,它们与密封剂切口28偏移,密封剂切口28使干燥剂向泡罩腔内部暴露。
在泡罩腔32中的空气/气体可与封盖层38的可选的吸湿层(干燥剂层18)连通,诸如箭头30所示,经由图3和图11中的密封剂开口28。在图3中,密封剂层29可在粘合剂层压到干燥剂层之前具有预穿孔的密封剂开口28。在图11中,开口28仅穿过热密封剂膜22形成。应当指出的是在此实施例中,粘合剂膜层20并不阻挡自腔顶部空间的水分到达此粘合剂后方的吸湿层(清除剂)。若干类型的密封剂层29开口28和配置是可能的。图4和图5示出使干燥剂层18向泡罩的内部空气腔暴露的密封剂开口28的两个这样的实施例。在未破裂的泡罩中的干燥剂18可利用干燥剂密封42与从包装边缘或者破裂的泡罩腔迁移到干燥剂层内的周围空气密封隔离。如在下文中更详细地描述的那样,干燥剂密封42可由热边缘刻划或局部切割热刀工具形成。简言之,在具有多个泡罩腔的实施例中,干燥剂密封42可保护未破裂的泡罩的干燥剂层避免向周围空气暴露。
在某些实施例中,干燥剂层18可为基本上连续或不连续的干燥剂颗粒层。优选地,干燥剂层18基本上连续,包括彼此触摸的颗粒且允许水分在整个层18上迁移。因此,封盖层38的破裂可能会使整个干燥剂层18向周围条件暴露且随后失去吸湿性。这种损失可通过以下方式补救:作为离散(各个)标签来涂覆封盖层38,且其***密封隔离周围空气而不是延伸超过每个泡罩腔的开口到其周围突缘,且利用(例如)压敏粘合剂而涂覆。
或者,封盖层38可用粘合剂层压到成型层24,之后沿着每个泡罩腔32密封干燥剂层,诸如通过干燥剂密封42。干燥剂密封42可通过熔化穿孔而形成以便于完全分离每个泡罩且保存层压内的去湿剂。分开泡罩腔32中的干燥剂的替代方式可为利用热刀进行机械切割或其它机械刻划以切穿除了密封剂层之外的所有层。
成型层24可优选地至少半透明,且最优选地透明和/或有色。成型层24优选地提供水分和气体屏障。在一实施例中,成型层24可为聚氯三氟乙烯(PCTFE)材料,诸如以商标名称ACLAR由Honeywell销售的材料。PCTFE广泛地用于药品包装中和许多其它应用中,这归因于其防湿性和化学稳定性。PCTFE层可在约50微米至500微米的范围内且优选为约75微米。在另一具体实施例中,成型层24材料可为下列的层压件:约50至120微米范围且优选为约75微米的PCTFE;约每平方米2克至4克的范围且优选为约每平方米3.0克的粘合剂;约35至55微米范围且优选为约44微米的PE EVOH PE;每平方米约2克至4克的范围内且优选为约每平方米3.0克的粘合剂;以及,约200微米至350微米范围且优选为约254微米的PVC。EVOH可被认为是EVA(乙烯-乙酸乙烯酯共聚物)改性的材料。在一种形式中,成型层24可具有约336.4磅/令的总基重。
待包含于泡罩腔32内的示范性产品12可具有各种形状且可为食品。对于饮料片剂实施例,产品12优选地:最大外径小于约23mm(且最优选为约19mm);具有允许通过封盖层38完好破裂的硬度和完整性(例如,耐受约15磅的力而不会显著地崩解,且优选地耐受约13磅的力);可克服水表面张力;且可在小于约2分钟至4分钟内溶解。外径测量占(account for)典型23mm的瓶颈。在优选实施例中,泡罩包装10将允许产品12具有在约3.5至4.5Kp(千克力)的硬度系数以在封盖层38破裂期间保持完好。在此情形下,使用者可向成型层的泡罩施加力,其被转移到产品以促使产品抵靠封盖层38且穿过封盖层38。
优选地,在产品12是饮料片剂的情况下,预先测量其在8盎司水中的最终预期饮料浓度。可选地,产品可在放置于水中或者含水液体中时起泡,诸如通过二氧化碳气体排放。产品片剂12的重量可在约2.4克至2.6克的范围内且优选地在约2.42克与2.56克的范围内。在某些实施例中,产品12可被成形为便于封盖层38破裂,诸如通过具有与封盖层相邻的直角(尖锐)边缘144,如图6所示。可选地,产品12饮料片剂可具有预定量的香料和其它成分,诸如甜味剂、维生素、矿物质和/或抗氧化剂。标记可印刷于产品12上。
可选地,如图6所示(其中元件与图3相当,但在附图标记前添加1),成型层124泡罩腔132的底部146可成角度/倾斜以将提取力集中到片剂112的具体区域从而能更有效地使封盖破裂且维持片剂112完整性。在优选实施例中,倾斜角度148(由箭头所示)可相对于成型层的突缘表面成约15度。
也可能有二次包装和三次包装以包含泡罩包装实施例。举例而言,每个泡罩包10可包含于一外盒34内。在一形式中,外盒34可由优选为约16点(point)(即,一英寸的16/1000(16/1,000ths of aninch)-约10至40点的范围)SBS纸板(solid bleached sulphitepaperboard)或具有优良刚度和刚性特征和很洁净光泽表面的其它纸板形成。优选地,外盒34尺寸适于接纳泡罩包10且具有开口(或可打开)端部和相对密封端部。可打开的端部可具有可闭合的翻盖(未图示)以防止泡罩包掉落出来。另外,图9示出用于增加产品展示灵活性的可选的悬挂舌片50。
多个由外盒包住的泡罩包可放置于托盘(未图示)用于货架展示。同样,托盘可为16点的SBS纸板。每个托盘还放置于瓦楞装运容器中。因此,举例而言,数量方案可如下:每泡罩6个产品片剂,以2乘3配置;每个纸板外盒1个泡罩;每个托盘12个泡罩;以及,每个瓦楞装运箱4个托盘。
虽然详细地描述了优选实施例,但可在所给出的实施例的范围内内做出变型和修改。

Claims (15)

1.一种用于储存和分配各个产品的泡罩包装,包括:
成型层,其具有在约50微米至500微米范围内的突缘和至少一个泡罩腔,所述至少一个泡罩腔具有限定开口顶部的周边且尺寸适于保持产品;以及
封盖层,其在约25至140微米厚的范围内且密封到所述至少一个泡罩腔的开口顶部的周边的至少一部分上,所述封盖层被配置成能通过抵靠产品向所述成型层施加至多150磅的力而破裂,所述产品具有在约3.5至4.5Kp(千克力)之间的范围内的硬度。
2.根据权利要求1所述的泡罩包装,其特征在于,所述成型层为约75微米厚范围内的PCTFE,且所述封盖层为约75微米厚。
3.根据权利要求1所述的泡罩包装,其特征在于,所述成型层是层压件,其包括结合到约35微米至55微米厚范围内的PE EVOH PE层的约50微米至约120微米厚范围内的PCTFE层,和结合到所述PEEVOH PE层的约200微米至约350微米厚范围内的PVC层。
4.根据权利要求1所述的泡罩包装,其特征在于,所述封盖层是层压件,其具有约7.5微米至40微米厚范围内的透明PET层,所述透明PET层结合到约6微米至30微米厚范围内的金属箔层,所述金属箔层结合到约7微米至55微米厚范围内的密封剂层,所述密封剂层向至少限定所述泡罩腔的开口顶部的周边提供密封。
5.根据权利要求4所述的泡罩包装,其特征在于还包括到所述封盖层的PET层的刻痕弱线,所述封盖层可通过在内部施加至多1 3磅的力而破裂。
6.根据权利要求5所述的泡罩包装,其特征在于,所述PET的刻痕弱线是激光切割。
7.根据权利要求4所述的泡罩包装,其特征在于还包括安置于所述箔层与密封剂层之间的吸湿层,所述密封剂层还包括预穿孔的开口以使所述吸湿层向所述泡罩腔暴露。
8.根据权利要求7所述的泡罩包装,其特征在于,所述密封剂层为结合到密封剂膜上的粘合剂层的层压件。
9.根据权利要求1所述的泡罩包装,其特征在于,泡罩腔底部形成为相对于所述成型层突缘以至少约15度的角倾斜。
10.一种用于根据权利要求5所述的泡罩包装的产品,所述产品具有允许通过所述封盖层的完好破裂的硬度和完整性,当放置于水中时克服表面张力且在少于4分钟内溶解的能力。
11.根据权利要求10所述的产品,其特征在于还包括与所述PET层中的弱线相邻定位的直角边缘。
12.一种用于储存和分配各个产品的泡罩包装,包括:
成型层,其具有突缘和至少一个泡罩腔,所述泡罩腔的底部被形成为相对于所述成型层的突缘以至少约15度的角倾斜,每个泡罩腔具有限定顶部开口的周边且尺寸适于保持产品;以及
封盖层层压件,其密封到至少每个泡罩腔的开口顶部的周边,所述封盖层具有透明PET层、粘合剂层、金属箔层、***密封的干燥剂层和预穿孔的密封剂层以密封到所述成型层上,所述密封剂层的穿孔提供在所述泡罩腔与干燥剂层之间的空气连通且干燥剂***密封防止空气连通超过封盖层***。
13.根据权利要求3所述的泡罩包装,其特征在于,所述成型层为层压件,其包括结合到约44微米的PE EVOH PE层的约75微米的PCTFE层,和结合到所述PE EVOH PE层的约254微米的PVC层。
14.根据权利要求4所述的泡罩包装,其特征在于,所述封盖层为层压件,其包括约18微米的透明PET层,所述透明PET层结合到约10微米的金属箔层,所述金属箔层结合到约25微米的密封剂层,所述密封剂层向至少限定所述泡罩腔的开口顶部的周边提供密封。
15.根据权利要求4所述的泡罩包装,其特征在于,所述密封剂层为结合到热密封剂膜的粘合剂膜层的层压件,且所述包装还包括安置于所述箔层与密封剂层之间的吸湿层,且所述热密封剂膜还包括预穿孔的开口以使所述吸湿层向所述泡罩腔暴露。
