Abstract
本发明涉及用于无线电通信设备的金属壳(1)。该金属壳(1)包括无线电频率馈送件(6,7;8,9)以及形成穿过该金属壳(1)的缝隙(4;10)的非导电通孔,其中所述无线电频率馈送件(6,7;8,9)横过所述缝隙(4;10)布置,以对作为所述无线电通信设备的缝隙天线的缝隙(4;10)进行馈送。

技术领域
本发明总体涉及用于无线电通信设备的壳,具体涉及用于无线电通信设备的金属壳。
背景技术
诸如移动电话、PDA、便携式电脑和类似设备的便携式无线电通信设备的当前趋势是为设备提供金属壳。用于便携式无线电通信设备的金属壳难以为设备提供非伸出天线,因为金属壳对设备内部屏蔽了无线电频率。可以将所述壳仅部分设为金属壳以允许使用内置天线,但理想的是提供完整的金属壳。
诸如移动电话和类似设备的便携式无线电通信设备的另一趋势是为设备提供非常宽的宽带覆盖,例如覆盖GSM850、GSM900、GSM1800、GSM1900、UMTS2100MHz和WLAN2.4GHz。这进一步限制了用于便携式无线电通信设备的天线的设计。
发明内容
本发明的目的在于提供一种用于无线电通信设备的金属壳。
本发明的另一目的在于提供一种具有金属壳的无线电通信设备。
其中根据本发明,这些目的分别通过由所附权利要求限定的金属壳和无线电通信设备来实现。
通过提供具有呈缝隙形状的非导电通孔的金属壳,可以为诸如移动电话的无线电通信设备提供完整的具有非伸出天线的金属壳。
通过提供具有呈端部敞开的缝隙形状的非导电通孔的金属壳,可以实现宽带覆盖。
虽然本发明对于便携式无线电通信设备特别有用,但也可以应用于诸如基站的固定无线电通信设备。
从以下描述将清楚本发明的其它特征和优点。

具体实施方式
在以下描述中,为了不加以限制地说明,阐述了诸如特定技术和应用的具体细节以提供对本发明的彻底理解。然而,本领域技术人员清楚,本发明可以以从这些具体细节出发的其它实施方式实施。换句话说,省略了对公知方法和设备的详细描述,从而不会由于不必要的细节而使对本发明的描述不清楚。
下面将参照图1至图4描述本发明的第一实施方式。
诸如移动电话的便携式无线电通信设备具有金属壳1、安装在金属壳1中的显示器2以及同样安装在金属壳1中的键盘3。便携式无线电通信设备的操作元件照常设置在其外壳内,即,在这种情况下设置在金属壳1内。
金属壳1还设有呈缝隙4形状的非导电通孔。缝隙4又设有横过缝隙4布置的无线电频率馈送件,以对作为便携式无线电通信设备的缝隙天线的缝隙4进行馈送。该便携式无线电通信设备在缝隙4中不应设有接地平面,接地平面的存在会使缝隙天线的天线功能性显著减弱。为了使缝隙天线起到充分作用,金属壳优选由导电性良好的材料构成或金属化。
对于普通尺寸为约100mm×40mm的金属壳1,可以提供约0.8-2.6GHz的频带。这例如可以通过提供厚度为10mm的100mm×40mm、具有宽为34mm高为5.7mm的端部敞开的缝隙(基本位于金属壳的中部)的盒状金属壳并且通过距该缝隙的敞开端12mm设置馈送件而实现。金属壳1的深度不会明显影响天线的功能性,从而考虑到天线性能,移动电话可以制成为非常薄,薄至单层。
无线电频率馈送件可以以多种方式提供。例如,图3所示的同轴馈送件可用于对缝隙天线进行馈送,其中同轴馈送件的地7设置在缝隙4的一侧上,馈送件6设置在缝隙4的基本与地7相对的另一侧上。图4所示的微带馈送件8也可用于对缝隙天线进行馈送,其中该微带馈送件还具有用于调谐无线电频率的短截线匹配。其它可行的馈送件例如有平面馈送件和集总元件馈送件。
通过将缝隙4近似设置在金属壳1的中部,为缝隙天线提供宽带覆盖最为容易,但是通过将缝隙4设置为略微偏离金属壳1的中部,为移动电话的大显示器2提供了空间。
缝隙4的壁优选设置为连接到金属壳1的金属壁,但也可设置为敞开壁,然而敞开壁的影响在于会非常难以控制与金属壳的盒状空腔谐振模的耦合。
下面将参照图5描述本发明的第二实施方式。本发明的第二实施方式类似于上述第一实施方式,只是缝隙10不是端部敞开。与根据上述第一实施方式的端部敞开的缝隙相比,封闭的缝隙10的缺点在于较难为封闭的缝隙天线10提供较低的频率。优点在于,便携式无线电通信设备中的布线更容易提供封闭的缝隙天线10。
显而易见,本发明可以以多种方式变型。这些变型不能被认为脱离本发明的范围。对于本领域技术人员显而易见的所有这些变型都旨在包含在由所附权利要求限定的本发明的范围内。非导电通孔表示的是完全穿过金属壳,可能填充有非导电材料但除了馈送件之外没有导电部件通向或经过该缝隙形状的孔。
Claims (10)
1.一种用于无线电通信设备的金属壳(1),其特征在于,所述金属壳(1)包括无线电频率馈送件(6,7;8,9)以及形成穿过该金属壳(1)的缝隙(4;10)的非导电通孔,其中所述无线电频率馈送件(6,7;8,9)横过所述缝隙(4;10)布置,以对作为所述无线电通信设备的缝隙天线的所述缝隙(4;10)进行馈送。
2.根据权利要求1所述的金属壳,其中,所述缝隙(4)为端部敞开的缝隙。
3.根据权利要求1或2所述的金属壳,其中,所述缝隙(4)布置在所述金属壳(1)的中部。
4.根据权利要求1或2所述的金属壳,其中,所述缝隙(4)布置成偏离所述金属壳(1)的中部。
5.根据权利要求1至4中任一项所述的金属壳,其中,所述无线电频率馈送件(6,7;8,9)设置为以下之一:同轴馈送件、微带馈送件、平面馈送件和集总元件馈送件。
6.根据权利要求1至5中任一项所述的金属壳,其中,所述缝隙(4;10)具有金属壁。
7.根据权利要求1至6中任一项所述的金属壳,其中,所述金属壳为盒状。
8.根据权利要求1至7中任一项所述的金属壳,其中,所述缝隙天线布置为覆盖GSM850、GSM900、GSM1800、GSM1900、UMTS2100MHz和WLAN2.4GHz。
9.根据权利要求1至8中任一项所述的金属壳,其中,所述无线电通信设备是便携式的。
10.一种包括金属壳(1)的无线电通信设备,其特征在于,所述金属壳(1)包括无线电频率馈送件(6,7;8,9)以及呈穿过该金属壳(1)的缝隙(4;10)形状的非导电通孔,其中所述无线电频率馈送件(6,7;8,9)横过所述缝隙(4;10)布置,以对作为所述无线电通信设备的缝隙天线的所述缝隙(4;10)进行馈送。
