Abstract

本发明涉及25-羟基维生素D3用于改善动物生育力的用途。
在本发明的上下文中,动物包括哺乳动物,其例子包括人类。除人类以外,哺乳动物的优选例子是反刍动物和非反刍动物,例如家牛(牛)、如狗和猫的宠物动物、马、骆驼、羊、山羊和猪。
更具体地,本发明涉及25-羟基维生素D3用于改善雄性动物(包括男人)的***质量的用途。在优选的实施方式中,本发明涉及25-羟基维生素D3用于改善如下动物中***质量和/或受胎率的用途,所述动物例如为牛、狗、猫和马,优选猪。
基因优异的雄性动物,例如种猪、种马或公牛,非常昂贵,其不仅受到额外的管理和护理,而且被尽可能长时间地保持以使其在牧群或在人工受精中心的作用最大化。现在一些牧场或人工受精中心为雄性育种动物提供最优条件,从而保持其生育力处于高水平,例如将种猪饲养在隧道型通风或空气调节猪圈中。人工受精正被实施,以使雄性动物的作用最大化并最终将其优异的基因遗传给更多的后裔。然而随着雄性动物年龄的增长,***量、***运动性和***数具有逐渐减少的趋势。因此,雌性动物的受孕率和受胎率也逐渐降低。
根据本发明已发现将25-羟基维生素D3给予种猪,改善了种猪的***质量,并进一步提高了由已服用25-羟基维生素D3种猪受精的猪的受胎率。
因此,一方面,本发明涉及25-羟基维生素D3用于改善***(例如种猪***)质量和动物(例如猪)受胎率的用途。另一方面,本发明涉及用于改善动物***质量和受胎率的方法,所述方法包括,将有效量的25-羟基维生素D3给予雄性动物。

在本发明猪饲料的制备过程中,将约10mcg/kg至约100mcg/kg的25-羟基维生素D3添加到常规猪饲料中。或者,可以以常规饲料组分为基础,通过将活性成分以较高浓度加入上述饲料组分中来制备饲料预混物,所述浓度例如为约10mg/kg至约100mg/kg 25-羟基维生素D3。如果每1000kg常规饲料中添加1千克上述预混物,那么通过常规食用饲料就能满足动物个体的需要。对于种猪,优选的剂量在约50至约80mcg 25-羟基维生素D3每kg饲料的范围内。
为了实现本发明的目的,以约0.112mcg至约1.120mcg,尤其为约0.560mcg至约0.784mcg每kg个体动物的体重每天的用量适当给予25-羟基维生素D3。因此,25-羟基维生素D3适于以满足上述剂量要求的用量添加到食物中。通常,种猪饲料可以包括约10mcg至约100mcg,尤其为约50mcg至约80mcg的25-羟基维生素D3每kg饲料。
测定服用25-羟基维生素D3后的种猪的总***量和浓度,***运动性和***量以及由该种猪的***受精的猪的受胎率,将其与食用不含25-羟基维生素D3饲料的种猪所得到数据进行比较,从而可以判定种猪服用25-羟基维生素D3对***质量的功效。
通常,对于狗,以约0.125mcg至约1mcg每kg个体动物的体重每天的用量适当给予25-羟基维生素D3。通常对于马,以约0.112mcg至约1.120mcg每kg个体动物的体重每天的用量适当给予25-羟基维生素D3。
人类可以以单位剂量的形式服用根据本发明的食物补充剂,所述剂量形式例如为片剂、胶囊、定量的粉末或定量的液体,上述液体如果需要的话可被充二氧化碳气体。而且,本发明的食物补充剂还可以包含常规的惰性和生理学上可接受的载剂、调味剂、着色剂和钙。例如片剂可以采用25-羟基维生素D3进行补充,补充用量使25-羟基维生素D3的日剂量为约5至15mcg每kg体重,其中通常的日剂量为1或2片。
