Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un sistema convertidor de energía para una pluralidad de unidades de pila de celdas de electrólisis, que comprende: una disposición en paralelo de múltiples módulos convertidores CC/CC; donde cada módulo convertidor CC/CC está configurado para alimentar una única unidad de pila de celdas de electrólisis; y donde cada módulo convertidor CC/CC es capaz de suministrar a la unidad de pila de celdas de electrólisis una variación predeterminada de corriente, energía y/o voltaje, de manera que se permita un funcionamiento casi térmicamente neutro a carga parcial, al hacer coincidir la producción integral de calor Joule con el consumo integral de calor de reacción dentro de la unidad de pila de celdas de electrólisis, y/o donde cada módulo convertidor CC/CC es capaz de invertir la corriente suministrada a dicha unidad de pila de celdas de electrólisis, provocando que dicha unidad de pila de celdas de electrólisis funcione en modo de celda de combustible. El sistema convertidor de energía permite una distribución de energía facilitada y económica, una larga vida útil, así como una mejor gestión térmica durante el funcionamiento de las pilas de celdas de electrólisis. En otros aspectos, la invención se refiere a un sistema de distribución de energía y a una planta de electrólisis que comprende dicho sistema convertidor de energía, así como a métodos relacionados.
