Abstract
Medios para analizar un lodo en movimiento, dicho método que comprende: provocar que el lodo fluya con una turbulencia totalmente desarrollada en una tubería vertical, de tal manera que el lodo fluyente llene toda la sección transversal de la tubería; proporcionar una ventana transparente en una pared de la tubería, y que dicha ventana esté rasante con el interior de la tubería; emitir luz desde una fuente de luz a través de la ventana, sobre el lodo fluyente dentro de la tubería en una zona de examinación; tomar una pluralidad de mediciones individuales de partículas sólidas individuales en el lodo fluyente mediante la captación de la luz reflejada en la zona de examinación; cotejar los resultados de un número estadísticamente significativo de mediciones individuales para obtener una característica del lodo fluyente en su conjunto.
