Method and device for the production of models of teeth. The subject of the invention is a process for the production of dentition models, for example dentures with irregularly formed and irregularly arranged teeth. Such models are made by the doctor for the purpose of making good artificial dentures from them. Bite models and a device used to carry out the process are shown in an exemplary embodiment in the accompanying drawing.
1 shows a part of a showcase with three models of teeth in a view; Fig. 2 is a perspective view of a maxillary impression; 3 shows views of glass plates which are used in carrying out the method; 4 shows a diagram of two cardboard forins;
FIG. 5 is a plan view and FIG. 6 is a side view of a measuring gauge; Fig. 7 is a perspective view of an impression with the meter in place; Fig. 8 is a vertical section through the maxillary impression with the mold and the measuring gauge inserted in the latter; Figure 9 is a side view of the footprint and mold;
the latter is illustrated partially broken away and shows part of the glass plate inserted in the mold with a knife set directly above the glass plate to remove the superfluous part of the mold; Fig. 10 is a section through the print and the partially filled form; Figure 11 is a perspective view of the junction of the mold; Figure 12 is a side view and Figure 13 is a perspective view of a completed denture model after removal from the mold.
In the showcase 1 finished models produced by the method are set up. Each model consists of a lower part 3 and an upper part 4. Both parts sit on top of one another and represent the complete model. The lower part 3 has a flat surface 5 (normal plane), vertical sides 6 and a front convex one Part 7 trained. Over the sides 6 and the front part 7 is the mass 8, which represents the jaw part lying next to the teeth, while 9 denotes the un regular teeth of the lower jaw of the patient. The upper denture part 4 is formed in a similar manner.
It has a normal plane 10 which is arranged paral lel to the flat lower surface 5. In addition, the bit part 4 has vertically right side walls 11 which are parallel to the side walls 6. Furthermore, the (-x'ebisteil 4 with angled front, vä) iden 12 and 13 is formed. Below the walls 11, 12 and 13 is the part 14 which reproduces the) part of the jaw that lies first of all the teeth; 15 are replicas of the teeth.
Fig. 2 shows an impression 16 of the upper jaw made in a known manner by means of a malleable mass. The imprint be seated a bulge 17 and a bead 18 which is separated by a recess 19 of the bulge 17. The bead 18 and the recess 19 show tooth impressions 20.
To produce a denture model according to) Fig. 12 and 13 with the help of this print from a measuring gauge (Fig. 5, 6 and 7), a glass plate (Fig. 3) and a cardboard form (Fig. 4).
The mold 25 is intended for the manufacture of the lower jaw model and the mold 26 for the manufacture of the upper jaw model. The forms 25, 26 consist of strips of cardboard. The end pieces 27, 28 of the strips grip one another and are fastened one above the other by means of eyelets 29. The shape 25 is intended for receiving the plate 21 and Forni 26 for receiving a glass plate 22. The forms 25, 26 are also intended to receive hardenable material which is poured onto the denture impression 16.
The dimensions of the forms 25, 26 are such that they can be placed on the bead 18 of the impression 16.
The outlines of the glass plates 21, 22 correspond to the shapes 25, 26; they fit exactly into this and have holes 23, 24 for lifting by means of a tool. The measuring gauge (FIGS. 5, 6, 7 and 8) has three plates 30, 31 and 32, each of which is provided with a slot 33 for receiving a screw 34. The screw 34 has a head 35 and carries a nut 36, which means the plates 30, 31 and 3? pressed against the head 35 and thus with respect to one another. can be determined. In bores 37, 38 and 39 of the plates 30, 31 and 32 are feet 40, 41 and 42, which are provided with scales 43 and allow a precise setting of the gauge.
The feet 40, 41. and 42 are held by adjusting screws ben 44 (Fig. 5, 6, 7 and 8).
The method for producing the Gebi1) - rriodelle with the help of the described pre riel lines is carried out, for example as set out below, only the production of a model of the upper jaw of the patient is described, since the method for producing the "@ebil; @" model of the lower jaw is very similar.
The dentist first takes the upper jaw impression 16 (Fig. 2; In this print from three places are selected, which are to serve to determine the level 10 of the anzuferti lowing (xebissniodells, namely the molars and one of the cutting teeth are selected according to the drawing .
The plates 30, 31 and 32 of the teaching are adjusted according to the width of the curvature 17 of the impression 16 and are fixed in this position by means of the screw 34 and the nut 36. The feet 40, 41, 42 of the teaching are adjusted according to the height of the arch 17 and held in this position by means of the adjusting screws 44 so that the teaching assumes the position shown in FIGS. 7 and 8 of the drawings with respect to the arch 17 .
The mold 26 is now placed on the bead 18 of the impression 16, the lower edge of the remote) being cut out beforehand so that it fits the irregular surface of the bead 18, and then wax 45 (Figs. 8, 9 and 10) Bim imprint 16 be strengthened.
