<tb>Fig. 1 <sep>eine perspektivische Ansicht eines erfindungsgemässen Behälters in geschlossenem Zustand;
<tb>Fig. 2<sep>eine Schnittansicht der Ebene A-A aus Fig. 1;
<tb>Fig. 3<sep>eine perspektivische Ansicht des Behälters aus Fig. 1 mit geöffnetem Zusatzfach, jedoch geschlossenem Deckel;
The present invention relates to a container made of plastic according to the preamble of patent claim 1.
In particular, for carrying provisions are closed by a lid plastic container because of their low weight and ease of cleanability widely used. However, foods are particularly sensitive to excessive heat, and on the other hand, it is usually more pleasant for the user if the entrained food is a little cooler than the ambient temperature.
In order to keep food in particular longer cool in a plastic container, so-called cold batteries are used, which consist of a housing closed on all sides with a cooling medium high heat capacity and can be "charged" before use, for example in the freezer with cold.
Such cold batteries are simply inserted with the material to be cooled in the container. However, this is unsatisfactory because the cold batteries are not fixed and can cause damage to the material to be cooled by their relatively high weight during transport of the container. Furthermore, the direct contact of the cold batteries with food in this particularly preferred use for reasons of hygiene and because of the risk of cold burn is undesirable.
In DE 19 852 813 A1 it has therefore been proposed to provide a plastic container in its interior with an additional compartment which receives the cold accumulator and thus fixes it on the one hand and, on the other hand, separates it from the material to be cooled, in particular foods.
However, if the container known from DE 19 852 813 A1 should be used for other purposes,
or if, for example, cooling can be dispensed with in the cold season, the additional compartment for the cold accumulator in the interior of the container is disturbing because it divides the container interior.
The present invention is therefore based on the object, in contrast, to improve a container of the type mentioned in terms of its universal usability and ease of handling.
This object is achieved by a container having the features of patent claim 1.
Preferred developments and refinements of the invention are laid down in the claims 2 to 12.
The container according to the invention thus retains the advantages of a separate additional compartment for a cooling element and is accordingly provided with such.
However, this additional compartment is integrated in contrast to the prior art in the lid, in such a way that it is accessible from the outside and separated from the interior of the container. The lid itself is articulated via a hinge pivotably on the base body, so that a pivot lid container results, which is particularly advantageous for carrying provisions over containers with a separate lid.
For containers for carrying provisions are often opened without turning them off anywhere, which offers advantages when the lid is firmly connected to the body and does not need to be stored anywhere to free a hand to grasp the container contents.
The inventive arrangement of the cooling element in the lid of the container offers advantages, since the cooling element is located above the material to be cooled and cold air is known to sink down because of their higher density, the heat convection inside the container thus ensures optimum cooling effect.
The cooling element may be fixed in the lid, but also be inserted removably, for example in the form of a commercial gel pad. Such a gel cushion can then be "charged" separately in the freezer.
In addition, two or more gel pads can be used, so that if necessary, an already warm gel pad can be replaced by a freshly cooled gel pad.
Especially with a removably inserted cooling element such as a gel pad, the inventive arrangement of the cooling element in the lid of the container is further advantageous because due to gravity, the cooling element is large area on the underside of the additional compartment and gives the cold heat conduction through the lid in the inside of the container. In particular upwards, ie towards the surroundings of the container, the heat conduction through an air cushion can be prevented, as far as the cooling element is dimensioned somewhat smaller than the interior of the additional compartment.
It follows, therefore, by itself an insulating effect against the environment, which previously had to be prepared in the prior art consuming metal coatings or the like.
A container according to the invention is preferably produced by injection molding, wherein the lid and the base body are made in one piece and connected to each other via a film hinge. In particular, in this production method, it offers advantages when the additional compartment is formed in the outside of the lid, for example as a trough. In this case, the additional compartment occupy substantially the entire surface of the lid - which is advantageous for the cooling effect or heat transfer between the cooling element and the container interior -, wherein the lid for forming the additional compartment is formed substantially flat with a circumferential bead.
To the outside, the additional compartment is then closed with an additional compartment lid.
The additional compartment lid is preferably pivotally mounted on the lid, the easy accessibility of the additional compartment can be ensured that a locking element is provided for latching closing of the additional compartment on the additional compartment lid.
This locking element may consist of a cross-sectionally U-shaped, resiliently deformable molded part, wherein the optionally present bead of the lid may expediently have a recess at this point, so that the locking element can be easily opened.
The pivotal attachment of the additional compartment lid on the lid can be prepared in that the additional compartment lid has two aligned opposite pivot, while in the lid two corresponding pivot bearings are formed, in which the pivot pins are inserted.
In this way, the additional compartment lid, which is made as a separate part, very easily on the rest of the container, which was preferably made in one piece by injection molding, are attached, which ensures a cost-effective production.
For ease of handling and optical reasons, it is advantageous if the additional compartment lid in the closed state is substantially flush with the surface of the lid, the additional compartment so although accessible from the outside, but is designed reaching into the interior of the container.
An embodiment of the invention will be described in more detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings and explained. Show it:
<Tb> FIG. 1 <sep> is a perspective view of a container according to the invention in the closed state;
<Tb> FIG. Fig. 2 <sep> is a sectional view of the plane A-A of Fig. 1;
<Tb> FIG. FIG. 3 is a perspective view of the container of FIG. 1 with the additional compartment open but with the lid closed; FIG.
<Tb> FIG. FIG. 4 is a perspective view of the container of FIG. 1 with the additional compartment opened and the lid open. FIG.
The container shown in Figs. 1, 3 and 4 in a perspective view consists of a base body 1, a pivotally mounted on this lid 2 and a turn pivotally mounted on the cover 2 additional compartment lid 3. The additional compartment lid 3 closes a lid in the second molded additional compartment 4, which occupies substantially the entire surface of the lid 2 and is bounded by a formed in the lid 2 circumferential bead 5. The lid 2 is fixed on one side by means of a latching hook 6 and on the other side by means of a film hinge 7 on the base body 1. In a corresponding manner, the additional compartment lid 3 is fixed on the one hand by means of a locking element 8 and on the other hand by means of two pivot pins 9 on the cover 2.
The locking element 8 is accessible through a recess 10 in the bead 5 from the outside and thus easily detachable.
As shown in FIG. 1, the present embodiment of the invention is hardly distinguishable from a conventional swivel lid container according to the prior art from the outside.
Fig. 2, a sectional view in a plane which is symbolized in Fig. 1 by broken lines and with the letter A, the "inner workings" of the present embodiment is visible. The trained without special features body 1 is integrally connected to the lid 2 via a film hinge 7 and manufactured together with this by injection molding.
The lid 2 is flat and almost flat over the entire base of the container and formed by means of the circumferential bead 5, wherein the additional compartment 4 is limited by the bead 5 and is closed by the additional compartment lid 3 to the outside and a cooling element 11, in this case a includes removable gel pad.
2 it can be seen that the articulated by means of pivot pin 9 on the lid 2 additional compartment lid 3 in the closed state flush with the cover 2, so here the bead 5 concludes. Furthermore, it can be seen here that the cooling element 11 preferably does not occupy the entire volume of the additional compartment 4, but rests on the cover 2 over a large area at the bottom, while at the top, for the additional compartment cover 3, and optionally also an insulating air cushion remains laterally.
The large-area contact of the cooling element 11 with the lid 2 leads to a good heat transfer between the cooling element 11 and the interior of the lid 2 closed base body 1, where the heat transfer to be cooled by convection occurs.
Also best seen in Fig. 2 that the locking element 8 consists of a U-shaped, resiliently deformable molded part, which has been produced in one piece with the additional compartment lid 3. About the recess 10, the locking element 8 can be pushed out of the frictional connection with the cover 2 to allow opening or pivoting away of the additional compartment lid 3.
The wegschwenkbare embodiment of the latching hook 6 for fixing the lid 2 on the base body 1 is clear here.
Fig. 3 again shows a perspective view of the present embodiment of the invention, with closed on the base 1 cover 2, but open additional compartment cover 3, while Fig. 4 shows the same perspective view, but here also the lid 2 is opened.
With reference to these figures, it is particularly clear that the additional compartment 4 is formed over a large area in the lid 2 and limited only by the bead 5, and in what way the additional compartment lid 3 sits with its pivot 9 in pivot bearings 12 of the lid 2.
Finally, it is noted that the purpose of the inventive container is not limited to the storage and transport of food; Of course, other purposes are conceivable in which the contents of the container to be cooled or vice versa kept warm.
