The invention and its advantages:
State of the art are exhibition stand on which panels or flags are mounted in front of or around a frame around. Mostly, these flags are stretched vertically over brackets at the top and bottom edges. The disadvantage of this is that stress wrinkles can form in the fabric, since the fabric is not fully tensioned.
The subject of the invention is a mobile, lightweight and collapsible frame, according to claim 1.
Advantageously, the frame is assembled from elements that are to be used as a modular system.
This makes it possible to produce exhibition stands of different layouts, shapes and sizes, using the same elements in different numbers.
Due to the folding mechanism, the frame requires only minimal storage space.
Another advantage is the way a fabric cover is fastened over the frame.
Due to the construction and functioning of the frame, the fabric cover is stretched over its entire surface, so that it sits very tightly and does not form tension creases.
The textile material can be used printed as an advertising medium or exhibition space.
The closed forms, which do not reveal the frame, also cause an aesthetically pleasing appearance.
The article according to the invention has the further advantage that it can be produced very inexpensively.
Description of an embodiment - FIGS. 1-5:
The inventive object is a collapsible frame (1) which is provided with a textile cover (2).
In the exemplary embodiment, the frame consists of three equally long bars (3), which are arranged vertically in a triangular outline.
The three spars are movably connected by two mechanisms (11). The two mechanics are located at a suitable distance above each other, within the triangular plan. The frame is collapsible by means of the two mechanisms.
A mechanism (11) consists of a centrally arranged node element (4) and three, radially around the node element around arranged arms (5), which are connected by axle joints with the node element. At its outer end, the arms (5) are each connected to one of the spars (3) also by a respective axle joint (6). The axes are horizontal, so that the arms are pivotable in a vertical direction.
The arms (5) have corresponding holes (7) for receiving the axles.
The node elements (4) have the shape of a flattened ball and are equipped according to the invention with radially arranged slot-shaped recesses (8), in each of which the end of an arm with a little clearance fits. In addition, located on one of the flattened sides of the node element, a circular slot (9). This slot (9) serves as a receptacle for a steel ring (10) on which the arms (5) are threaded through the axle holes and arranged radially. For the purpose of threading the ring (10) is open at one point.
The ring (10) with the arms is pressed into the slot (9) in the form that the arms (5) are simultaneously inserted into the corresponding recesses (8).
The arms are pivotable within the recess (8) in the vertical direction, the ring (10) forms the axis for the pivotal movement of the arms.
Advantageously, recesses (8) are present in sufficient number and expedient distribution, so that an alternative attachment of three, four or six arms, evenly distributed, is possible. The number of arms that are attached to a node element (4), the number of spars (3), which results in frame variants with three, four or six bars and accordingly floor plan variants of a three-, four- or hexagon. Other polygonal floor plans are possible, with a corresponding configuration of the node element. The mechanics are mounted in the form between the spars, that the node elements always point in the direction of the ends of the spars.
This means that in the folded state, the arms of the upper mechanism are folded upwards and the arms of the lower mechanism downwards.
With the help of the pivotable arms (5) from the folded state, the two node elements (4) can be synchronously moved toward each other. As a result, the spars (3) are forced to move away from each other so that the floor plan described by them increases. The two mechanisms (11) together form a kind of scissors mechanism. The largest floor plan expansion is achieved when the two node elements have been moved so far toward each other until the arms are almost horizontal.
The horizontal must not be reached or exceeded, for this purpose there is a stop (12) in the bars, which prevents the arms from reaching the horizontal.
About the frame (1) a tubular sheath made of textile material (2) is pulled. The shell is dimensioned so that it fits exactly over the frame, if this has not yet reached its greatest possible floor plan extent. As a result, the frame can be clamped from the inside against the textile casing. The tension is generated by an elastic element (13) in the frame, which connects the node elements (4) together and pulls each other, whereby the spars are forced apart.
The elastic element (13) is firmly anchored to one of the two node elements (4) and is fastened to the other by means of a hook (14).
This creates a permanent tension and stabilizes the frame statically.
The textile casing (2) has suitable pockets into which the upper ends of the spars (3) can be inserted.
Description of an exemplary embodiment with two bars - FIG. 7:
The mechanism that connects the spars of the frame can also be replaced by two arms which are connected by a hinge. This variant is then applicable, if it is a frame with two bars. In this case, two spars with two joints, each consisting of two arms connected to a simple axis, connected to each other. The joint between the arms points at the top in the upper direction and below in the lower and never reaches the horizontal in the unfolded state.
For this embodiment, two feet are also mounted on the two spars, which make the frame tip over.
Description of an embodiment with diagonal bracing - Fig. 20:
The embodiment shown in Fig. 20 is additionally stabilized by a diagonal bracing by means of steel cables (15). For this purpose, the steel cable (15) is attached to a respective lower pivotable arm (5) near the pivot point in the vertical spar. From there, the rope is led diagonally to the upper node, then passed from above through the corresponding recess (16) and deflected vertically downwards within the knot.
At each of the lower arms such a rope is attached, which is guided in each case in the same way by the node.
All vertically downwardly deflected ropes are bundled below the knot and connected at a suitable location with the elastic element (13).
The elastic element (13) is fixed as intended with a hook (14) at the lower node The voltage generated in this embodiment causes a diagonal stiffening, which additionally stabilizes the entire frame.
Another feature of this embodiment is a lighting located in the frame, which is generated by mounted in the U-profiles fluorescent tubes. For mounting and dismounting both the version of the fluorescent tubes and the fluorescent tubes themselves are laterally on the profiles appropriate recesses in which you can reach into it.
The U-profile is dimensioned so that commercial fluorescent tubes with socket fit exactly in (Figure 19).
Another added benefit is the placement of trays that can be mounted all around the fabric. These are mounted on the vertical bars of the frame hanging on ropes.
