Fig. 1 eine axiale Schnittdarstellung einer Spannzangenanordnung;
Fig. 2 eine axiale und zwei radiale Schnittdarstellungen einer Ausführungsform einer Spannmutter;
The invention relates to a clamping nut with an eccentrically incorporated pull-out tab for releasing the collet from the collet holder.
The eccentric arrangement of the pull-out tab creates an imbalance that causes vibrations at high speeds. The centrifugal forces caused by this unbalance increase with the square of the speed and can reach considerable values. This can result in poorer machining results or even damage to the machine tool.
In order to avoid these disadvantageous consequences, it is common to mount the finished clamping nuts on a special balancing mandrel or a spindle and to determine the size and position of the unbalance on a balancing machine. Material is then removed by drilling, milling or other machining methods for the purpose of balancing the unbalance. This process may have to be repeated several times until the required balancing quality is reached. Since the clamping nut is mounted on the balancing mandrel or a spindle, the material can only be removed on the outer contour to compensate for imbalance. These subsequent changes to the outer surface are not aesthetic and can also cause unpleasant noise at very high speeds.
The invention is based on the object of achieving the compensation of the unbalance without the disadvantages mentioned.
According to the invention, this is achieved in that, in order to compensate for the imbalance on the inner contour of a clamping nut of the type mentioned, a material removal which has been determined beforehand according to position and quantity is carried out.
The theoretical size and position of the unbalance is calculated during the design phase or determined by tests. The unbalance compensation is carried out in the production process on suitable machines by material removal. The quality of the balancing is checked on a balancing machine. If necessary, corrections are made in the production process. A special surface treatment reduces friction on the thread and on the 30 ° cone and at the same time protects against corrosion.
Exemplary embodiments of the invention are described below with reference to the accompanying drawings. Show it:
Figure 1 is an axial sectional view of a collet assembly.
Figure 2 is an axial and two radial sectional views of an embodiment of a clamping nut.
Fig. 3 is an axial and two radial sectional views of a further embodiment of a clamping nut and
Fig. 4 is an axial and a radial sectional view of another embodiment of a clamping nut.
As FIG. 1 shows, a collet 2 is inserted into a collet holder 1 with a receiving cone 10. The collet 2 has on its end face a 30 ° cone 6, by means of which the collet is pressed centrally into the receiving cone 10 of the collet holder 1 by a clamping nut 3 with a corresponding inner cone. The latter has a thread 7 on its outer wall, onto which the clamping nut 3 is screwed.
The surface of the clamping nut 3 has a coating or another surface treatment which reduces the friction on the thread and on the 30 ° cone and protects it from corrosion.
The clamping nut 3 has a pull-out tab 4 for releasing the collet from the receiving cone 10. This pull-out tab, which engages in a groove 8 running behind the cone 6 of the collet, is generally, as shown in section AA of FIG. 2, by a circular, eccentrically arranged material removal. Alternatively, as shown in section AA of FIG. 3, the pull-out tab has the shape of an eccentrically arranged oval and is dimensioned such that the collet engages in the clamping nut, and is designed such that its function also ensures a clamping range of 1 mm is. With this alternative form, the necessary imbalance compensation can be kept smaller.
In addition, the oval shape of the pull-out tab has the advantage that the collet snaps into place during assembly and does not fall out of the clamping nut, as was the case with the conventional design.
In both embodiments, the unbalance compensation 5 consists in removing material with a tool, the contour of which is indicated in the sections B-B of FIGS. 2 and 3 by the dashed circles 9.
Another variant of the unbalance compensation is shown in FIG. 4. Instead of the material removal according to FIGS. 2 and 3, axially parallel bores 5 are made in the material behind the pull-out tab 4 in this form.
The clamping nuts according to the invention have the advantage that the outer contour is not disturbed by compensating bores or milling. A large part of the balancing costs can be saved through the unbalance compensation integrated in the production process. In addition, the corrosion protection layer is not damaged by subsequent material removal. Pre-balancing can remove up to 90% of the imbalance during production. If a particularly good balancing quality is required, subsequent fine balancing is possible with much less effort.
