Technisches Gebiet

Technical field
The invention relates to a device according to the preamble of claim 1, an automatic ticket dispenser according to the preamble of claim 6 and a method for operating a device according to claim 1 for recording orders and for the spatially and temporally issuing of tickets.
State of the art
Up to now, the tickets, flight tickets and tickets have been sold at the counter or at conventional machines.
The sales staff at the counter offers optimal support in choosing the desired service. The associated high personnel costs are disadvantageous.
The conventional automatic machine is supposed to partially relieve or replace the staff. The user is now asked to find his way through the variety of tariffs using buttons, touch-sensitive screens and displays.
From US 3,622,995 (Boroughs Corporation) a system for the reservation and later issue of tickets is known. The reservation is made by telephone at a reservation office. The automatic ticket dispenser is e.g. at the airport terminals. The customer enters his credit card at the ticket dispenser and the data of the reservation, after which the ticket is issued.
US 3,445,633 and US 4,449,186 describe automatic ticket dispensers. It is assumed that the passenger has already reserved his flight and that the general information (name of the holder, credit card institute etc.) is stored in a machine-readable form on a credit card or that the user enters this data into the terminal. The current locations of the outgoing flights are shown on the screen. The user then inserts his credit card and can confirm the flight he has reserved by pressing a single button. If a flight is selected for which there is no reservation, the process is canceled and the card is ejected. If the correct flight is selected, luggage checks can also be issued.
DE 3 221 235 A1 discloses a system with a larger number of different input and output devices (FIG. 1). The system includes counter ticket vending machines that are used for the reservation and operated by an official, for example. It is therefore possible to make the reservation by phone. The said machine should be able to perform all functions that are possible in the system. In addition, there is also a ticket vending machine, which can be operated by the customer and which is used to issue reserved tickets. Reserved place cards will be issued on indication of the reservation number. Payment can be made in cash or credit card.
Presentation of the invention
The object of the invention is to provide a device and a method for pre-selling and issuing tickets by means of machines which are very easy to use.
The solution to the problem is defined in relation to the device by the features of claim 1 and in relation to the method by the features of claim 11.
The innovation of the invention lies in the exploitation of the advantages of both types of sales without having to accept their disadvantages.
Basically new is a consequent separation of the telephone or EDP-based dialing process from the process of picking up at a machine on the one hand and picking up from the billing on the other.
New in automated sales is the use of order acceptance points, a centralized order database and an online transfer of the information relating to an order to machines.
The automatic dispensers according to the invention are of the simplest construction described above and cannot be found today. All of today's ticket machines, flight and ticket vending machines contain an expanded human-machine interface.
In conventional machines, all tariff data required for sale are saved in a general form. This requires a corresponding storage space and processor performance. Furthermore, additional memory and processor capacities are required to control the expanded (e.g. touch-sensitive screen) human-machine interface. In addition, sophisticated electronics as well as the mechanics for handling cash and for securely storing all sales transactions and billing according to several types are required.
The device according to the invention and the method shift the choice to the person-assisted telephone and EDP-related process. The pick-up machines do not save tariffs and therefore have no need for a sophisticated human-machine interface. In contrast to conventional machines, there is also no payment at the machine, but only identification using a customer or third-party provider (e.g. credit) card. Therefore, the machines according to the invention also do not contain any sales files and do not carry out billing.
Settlement and collection in conventional automated sales systems are an essential prerequisite for the issue of an admission ticket, a flight ticket or a ticket (so-called "choose-pay-take" process). In the method according to the invention, no billing / collection is carried out on the machine; this is outsourced in a separate process described above ("dial-take-numbers" with additional temporal and local separation).

In principle, the same parts are provided with the same reference symbols in the figures.
Ways of Carrying Out the Invention
The method and the setup with automatic dispensers for the pre-sale and dispensing of pre-ordered tickets, flight tickets and tickets are shown in FIG. 1.
The facility consists of several components that can be spread across multiple locations.
A telephone 2 in an office 1 (or a house or a car) or a public telephone is used to order the desired service by the user.
The order is placed via the public telephone network 3 to an order acceptance point 8. The order placed in any language, dialect and sequence is received on the telephone 4 of the order acceptance point 8 and entered in a computer-conforming manner using the keyboard 6 at the terminal 5. The correctness of the input is checked on screen 7.
The order details are transmitted to the phone ticket EDV 10 via the data line 9. The Phone Ticket EDV 10 contains computers with several memories, which software and databases lead to the recording and management of orders 11 and customers 12.
Inquiries are directed to the EDP system 15 of the service provider (e.g. train) via the data line 13. Databases 17 relating to the service plan (e.g. timetable), valid tariffs, reservations and the database 18 of the service provider relating to the customer card (e.g. train card of a railway company) are specifically addressed.
Information about the third-party cards approved in the system (e.g. VISA credit card) is obtained via the gateway 14 of the service provider and the data line 16 from the corresponding clearing institute 31 for third-party cards.
The most important part of the device according to the invention are the automatic dispensers 20.
The dispensing machines 20 placed at the entrance 19 (e.g. train station, platform, platform) or on the train serve exclusively to issue the pre-ordered tickets, flight tickets or tickets.
The dispensing machines 20 are optimized for the fastest possible issuing of the admission ticket, the flight ticket and / or the ticket.
The user identifies himself by means of a card 25 issued by the service provider or third party and inserted into the card reader 24. The controller 21 asks for the existence of an order for the phone ticket EDV 10 through the data network 30 and the EDP system 15 of the service provider. Entry ticket 28 or flight or ticket are then printed by printer 27 and fed into output tray 29.
In the case of several pre-orders, individual bookings are displayed on the customer display 22. The user can select and confirm the desired booking using an OK button 23.
A PIN keyboard 26 is optionally provided for authorization by means of a PIN code.
The process from ordering to handing in the tickets, tickets and tickets sold is shown in FIG. 3.
The invention is based on a local, systematic and temporal separation between the voting process, the issue of admission tickets, flight and / or tickets and billing.
The only connection between the three processes is the Phone Ticket EDV 10 (Fig. 2).
The individual processes are described below.
Choice:
The dialing process takes place via telephone 2 in an office 1 (in a house, a car or a public telephone) in an ergonomically optimal form of the oral order. In several languages and dialects, the desired destination, date, discount, special requests and number of the customer card to be charged (e.g. train card) or third-party card (e.g. Eurocard) are recorded by the staff in the order acceptance point 8 via the public telephone network 3 and the telephone 4. The entries are entered in accordance with the computer using the keyboard 6 of the terminal 5. The correctness of the input is checked on screen 7. With the information (47) destination, date, discount and special requests through the data lines 9, 13 and Phone Ticket EDV 10 service plan 17 (e.g.
Timetable), tariff and reservation in the IT system 15 of the service provider the information necessary for the creation of the admission ticket, flight and / or ticket.
This information for one or more (51) tickets is stored in the database for orders 11.
At the same time, the number (48) on the customer card or third-party card is sent to the accounts receivable management.
The authorization of the customer card (number of the customer card) through the database 18 of the customer cards of the service provider is requested (49) via the data line 13. The authorization of a third-party card approved in the system (e.g. VISA credit card) takes place using the (50) number of the third-party card, which is released via the gateway 14 of the service provider and the data line 16 from the corresponding third-party card clearing institute 31. The authorization: (52) "Customer card valid" resp. (53) "Third-party card valid" is stored as (54) "Card valid" from the customer administration database 12 in the order file of the database 11.
Output:
The easiest vending machine 20 is to issue the admission ticket, flight and / or ticket directly from the service provider or immediately before claiming the service (e.g. when entering the train or even on the train).
The user (55) identifies himself at any automatic dispenser by inserting a customer or third-party card 25 into the card reader 24.
The card reader 24 transmits the (56) number of the card to the controller 21, which asks via the data network 30 and the data lines 16, 13 for an order assigned to this (57) number in the order file of the database 11.
All existing pre-orders together with the authorization of the card are downloaded in the form (58) "ticket", "multiple", "card valid" to the requesting dispenser 20.
If there are several pre-ordered tickets, these are individually displayed by the controller 21 on the customer display 22 [(59) several tickets].
With the OK button 23 the user confirms which tickets, flight and / or ticket [(60) choice] he wants to pick up in this process.
In most cases, only one ticket is pre-ordered, so no (60) choice is necessary.
The controller 21 then issues the command (61) Printer start the printer 27. The (62) ticket output of the admission ticket 28, the flight and / or ticket takes place in the output tray 29.
The printer reports (63) "Ticket output OK" to the controller 21. The output process is now complete.
In the event that online authorization of the customer or third-party provider card would be required by the service provider or third-party provider, the corresponding PIN code is optionally entered using a PIN keyboard 26.
settlement:
Billing is also carried out separately and in time from the previous processes. Bundling for the purpose of minimizing the transmission costs is optionally possible after consultation with the partners involved.
After error-free issuance of the admission ticket 28, the flight and / or ticket and corresponding confirmation (63) "ticket issue OK", the controller 21 transmits the information required for billing to three locations, in each case via the data network 30 and the computer system 15 of the provider.
The (64) number of the customer card or third-party card to be debited is first transmitted together with the amount to the debtor database 12 and administration software of the phone ticket EDV 10.
In the next step, the (65) number of the customer card to be debited is transmitted to the database 18 of the customer card management of the service provider and the (66) number of the third-party card to be debited through the gateway 14 and the data line 16 to the clearing institute 31 of the third-party provider cards , This is followed by (67) customer card remuneration and (68) third-party card remuneration by Phone Ticket Debtor Management 12.
The service provider will carry out the billing with the user for his customer cards and the third party provider directly and without the participation of Phone Ticket EDV 10.
A further variant provides that the user is identified either by a phone ticket identification card or another card, and the billing by phone ticket is carried out directly with the user.
In the last and periodically repeated step, the (69) periodic debtor check of the Phone Ticket EDV 10 is carried out in order to uncover irregularities.
extensions:
The device according to the invention can optionally be expanded in several areas, as shown in FIG. 4.
The order acceptance point 8 can be automated as far as possible. The construction of an interface 40 to alternative order acceptance media plays an essential role.
The personnel used to accept the order can be replaced by automatic speech recognition and processing using automatic telephone 41.
The orders can also be entered into the phone ticket EDV 10 by the customer EDP systems 42 (e.g. PCs) available to the users directly via data network 45b and interface 40.
For the "late bloomers", the automatic dispenser 20 can be expanded with an integrated telephone 43 on the automatic dispenser for direct connection to the automatic telephone 41. Other options concern authorization and the billing channels.
In principle, a data network connection 44 can exist between the phone ticket EDV 10 and the third-party card clearing institute 31 for third-party cards and also between the dispensing machine 20 and the clearing institute 31 there can be a direct connection via data network 45a.
In summary, the following can be stated:
1. The invention relates to a method for the advance sale and issue of tickets, tickets and / or tickets by means of a telephone and / or EDP-bound order acceptance point 8, a central order database 10, central EDP of the service providers and machines 20. Characteristic The local and temporal separation of the voting process from picking up the admission tickets, flight and / or tickets and billing, whereby the election can be supported by staff, the automatic dispensers do not contain any tariff-related human-machine interface and no cash processing, do no billing, fully and are only functional in online mode (data network 30), and billing between all parties is exclusively cashless.
2. The method is preferably also characterized in that the pre-order is stored centrally together with the authorization details and can be called up online and by any and all dispensing machines 20 after identification by means of a card 25, and in that the billing after notification of the completed Issued by the dispenser 20 at appropriate points (phone ticket EDV 10, EDP system 15 of the service provider, clearing institute 31) separately and without conditions.
3. The device has an automatic dispenser 20, which does not have a tariff-related human-machine interface, no cash acceptance, no collection and no billing. He forwards the identification of the user by means of a card 25 in online operation to a central database for orders 11 and fetches the corresponding information for issuing an admission ticket, a flight ticket and / or a ticket. All options are preferably made possible exclusively by means of an OK button. In this case, the OK button 23 of the dispenser 20 is the only dialogue medium for the user for all decisions necessary for the creation of an admission ticket, a flight ticket and / or a ticket.
4. Optionally, a telephone can be integrated on the dispensing machine 20, which ensures a direct connection to the order acceptance point via the interface belonging to the dispensing machine and is the only medium for selecting the desired admission ticket, flight and / or tickets on the dispensing machine 20.
