The invention relates to a continuous casting mold for a double-T pre-profile according to the features of the preamble of claim 1.
The continuous casting of preliminary profiles for the production of shaped steel, in particular double-T beams, has been known in practice since 1968. Only a few steelworks worldwide have produced such beam pre-profiles in production today, because considerable know-how is required for their production. The general trend towards near-net-shape casting has increased interest in the casting of preliminary profiles. Despite this trend, the difficulties associated with casting such cross sections have not yet been satisfactorily resolved. As main problems, frequent jamming of the strand in the mold is still unavoidable, especially if the casting parameters do not match the predetermined conicity parameters in the mold. Furthermore, the effort for the mold production is very expensive.
A block mold for the continuous casting of double-T profiles is known from DE-Auslegeschrift 1 282 861. In accordance with the shrinkage of the double-T profile, the mold cavity of the mold is provided with a positive mold taper on the outside of the flange part and a negative taper on the inside of the flange part. For better machining of the mold cavity, the mold is made in two parts along a plane parallel to the web of the double-T profile.
In order to sufficiently cool the strand crust that forms in the mold and on the other hand to prevent strand jamming in the mold, the positive and negative mold cavity taper must be adapted to the steel quality, the casting temperature, the casting speed, etc. If the strand jams in the mold in the event of a fault, it can be removed from the two-part block mold by opening it. However, the production of such block molds is expensive. With such molds, different casting speeds easily lead to malfunctions and increased wear.
From US-PS 4 805 685 a mold for casting double-T profiles is also known. Recesses in the mold cavity cross section for the web part are designed in this mold according to predetermined ratios. Transition zones between the web part and the flange parts are precisely defined using a flat pitch angle. These smooth transitions simplify the production of the mold cavity by eliminating negative undercuts or negative mold cavity conicity. However, the teaching from this literature is far removed from casting close to its final dimensions and causes a correspondingly large roll deformation.
The invention has for its object to provide a double-T pre-profile mold that eliminates the disadvantages mentioned and in particular prevents jamming of the strand in the mold. Furthermore, the shape of the mold is to be simplified and, for example, the manufacture of expensive block molds can be replaced by tubular molds. Another objective is to cast a beam pre-profile close to the final dimensions, which requires a minimum of rolling passes. Such a double-T pre-profile should also be cast with increased casting speed and at the same time the strand quality of both the surface and the structure should be improved.
According to the invention, this object is achieved by the sum of the features of claim 1.
With the mold according to the invention, it is possible for the first time to cast double-T pre-profiles in a mold close to the final dimensions without negative mold cavity conicity or without negative undercuts. Such molds can not only be manufactured as block or plate molds, they can also be manufactured as much cheaper tubular molds with relatively simple tools. Furthermore, by using targeted strand crust deformation within the mold, both the casting performance and the strand quality, in particular the strand structure, can be improved. Should a strand get stuck in the mold in the event of a fault, it can be removed upwards because there are no negative undercuts in the mold.
A deformation of the strand crust may be desirable for reasons of strand quality or to achieve an increased casting performance on further peripheral sections of the mold cavity. According to one exemplary embodiment, it is proposed that the mold cavity at the pour-side end of the mold on the outer sides of the two opposite flange parts have cross-sectional enlargements of the mold cavity compared to the same mold cavity sections at the end on the strand exit side in the form of bulges, and that the arc heights H of the bulges in the strand running direction decrease in this way that during the casting operation a strand shell forming in the mold cavity is deformed as it passes through the mold cavity.
This measure allows a much better contact and thus a significantly increased cooling capacity to be achieved at two or more boundary surfaces of the preliminary profile.
In the case of long web parts, the web part bulges can extend over a fraction of the web part length between the flanges. According to one embodiment, however, it is particularly advantageous if the web part bulges extend over the entire web part length up to the fillets of the flange connections.
The bulges can be delimited by broken, straight lines. According to one embodiment, it is proposed to limit the web part bulges by means of curved lines, preferably by means of circular lines.
The bulges on the web and / or on the two flanges can e.g. shortly before the mold exit, be completely reshaped or the strand may still have a residual bulge when it leaves the mold. According to a further exemplary embodiment, it is additionally proposed that the bulges at the pouring-in end of the mold have a maximum arc height H, which as a rule decreases continuously to zero at the end on the strand exit end.
The thickness of the web and the two flanges is dimensioned so that an optimal microstructure is achieved after the double T-beam has been rolled. Furthermore, the dimensioning of the preliminary profile close to the final dimension and a support guide that is as support-free as possible against the ferrostatic pressure should also be taken into account when determining the dimensioning. According to a further exemplary embodiment, it is additionally proposed that the ratio of web thickness to flange thickness, measured at its thinnest points, be set in the order of magnitude of 1: 1.
In the following, the invention will be further explained with the aid of examples.
Show:
Fig. 1 is a plan view of the pouring end of a tubular mold for a double-T beam and pre-profile
Fig. 2 is a plan view of the pouring end of another example of a tubular mold.
In Fig. 1, 2 is a tubular mold with a mold cavity 3. The cross section of the mold cavity is composed of two flange parts 4, 4 min and a web part 5. A transition radius 6 connects the cross-sectional parts mentioned. At the pour-side end of the mold, a cross-sectional enlargement of the mold cavity relative to the same mold cavity sections 7 is attached along the web part 5 on both sides of the web part at the end on the strand exit side in the form of a web part bulge 8. In this example, the web part bulge 8 is reduced to zero at the end of the mold on the strand exit end, i.e. the web part 5 is delimited by straight lines 9. Lines 9 represent tendons for the arch lines 10.
Between the end of the mold on the pouring side and the end of the strand exit, the arc height H is steadily decreasing, and there is a geometric extension of the chord associated with the arc. A strand shell forming along the web part 5 has a bulged shape at the start of solidification, which deforms into a flat surface as it moves forward through the mold. If the strand shell were not simultaneously subject to shrinkage transversely to the strand movement, it would have the length of the arch line 10 at the mold exit. The reduction in the arch height H is dimensioned such that a resulting geometrical lengthening of the chord causes the shrinkage of the strand shell of the web transversely to the strand running direction compensated.
This makes it possible for the first time that the mold wall parts adjoining the web part of the inside of the flange part 12, 12 min, 13, 13 min essentially parallel to the direction of the strand, i.e. without a casting cone. This not only makes the tools for mold manufacture much easier, it also makes it easier to deform the tube mold itself along the inside of the flange part 12, 12 min, 13, 13 min. With these parallel sides and the bulged web part 5, the mold is also less sensitive to different casting parameters, such as steel temperature, steel quality, casting speed, etc.
In FIG. 2 there are also outer sides 20, 20 min of the two opposite flange parts 4, 4 min at the pouring-in end and four cross-sectional enlargements in the form of bulges 23, 23 min, 24, 24 at four lateral flange boundary surfaces 21, 21 min, 22, 22 min, 25, 25 min. All of these bulges of the mold cavity decrease in the direction of the strand and at the end of the mold on the strand outlet end, the arc heights of the bulges 23, 24, 25 are zero. The bulges 27 in the web part are reduced to bulges 28 at the mold exit, i.e. the cast strand emerging from the mold has a web part with weak bulges, e.g. 1-3 mm. This residual bulge can help to prevent jamming of the strand in the mold in the case of changing casting parameters, as indicated above.
The bulges 23, 24, 25 provided in FIG. 2 improve the control of the solidification on these flange parts and enable higher casting speeds and / or a reduction or omission of strand supports below the mold, particularly in the case of cross sections close to the final dimensions or small preliminary profiles.
In the examples in FIGS. 1 and 2, the strand bulges extend over the entire web length to the fillets with the transition radius 6 of the flange connections. The size of such fillets can be varied widely.
All bulges 8, 23, 24, 25, 27 are delimited by curved lines, preferably circular lines.
The cross-sectional enlargement usually consists of the bulge. However, it can also include part of the transition radii 6 adjoining the bulge arch on both sides.
The ratio of the web thickness 30 to the flange thickness 31 of the preliminary profile is measured at its thinnest points in the order of 1: 1.
The invention cannot only be used for symmetrical double-T pre-profiles. The teaching according to the invention can also be used in the case of asymmetrical double-T pre-profiles, such as are used, for example, for rail tracks, etc.
