Beschreibung description
The invention relates to a press plate according to the preamble of claim 1 and to a method for producing the press plate.
The previously known press plates for the production of building boards are made of stainless steel. The building boards to be pressed, for example plasterboard, plasterboard, cement-bound chipboard or cement asbestos board, are pressed in a stack. In order to achieve a residue-free separation of the press plate from the respective adjacent plate of the stack during demoulding, the press plate is sprayed with a non-stick agent before pressing. In the case of gypsum-bonded particle board in particular, it has proven disadvantageous in practice that despite the non-stick agent, residues of the boards to be pressed remain adhering to the press board, so that subsequent cleaning of the press board is inevitable.
Since cleaning is usually carried out using rotating steel brushes, the cleaning process results in scoring in the press plate, as a result of which the surface quality of the plates to be pressed is impaired after prolonged use of the press plates. Due to the constant rotation of the cleaning brushes, the surface of the press plates is roughened to such an extent that a high build-up of deposits occurs and the adhesive forces between the press plate and the plates to be pressed increase accordingly. In addition, it has been shown in the practical application of this known method that the corrosion resistance of the stainless steel plates wears off over time due to the strong alkalinity in cement-bound plates. It is also found to be disadvantageous that the known stainless steel plates are relatively expensive and involve a high weight.
The present invention is therefore based on the object of further developing a press plate of the generic type in such a way that the stack to be pressed can be removed completely without residue, and without the stack needing to be sprayed with a separating agent before the pressing process. In addition, the press plate should be resistant to the chemicals used in the manufacture of building boards.
The invention is also based on the object of providing an economical method for producing such press plates.
This object is achieved in the press plate according to the preamble of claim 1 in that the press plate is designed as a multi-layer composite plate which essentially consists of a roughened light metal sheet carrier layer and at least one outer layer made of a roughened high molecular weight thermoplastic.
The outer layer of the press plate expediently consists of a high molecular weight polyethylene, which has the effect of a non-stick coating with the best release properties and high abrasion resistance. Since plastic is corrosion-resistant anyway, the lifespan of the invented
Press plates according to the invention are considerably higher than the stainless steel plates previously used.
Because the removal of residues in the press plate constructed according to the invention is completely eliminated, a constant surface quality of the press plate and thus also of the building boards to be pressed is ensured for a long time.
By using inexpensive sheets or sheets of light metal, for example made of aluminum, the manufacturing costs and the weight of the sheets can be significantly reduced. The use of a high molecular weight polyethylene plastic layer ensures particularly good separation properties, is inexpensive and is easy to process. A support layer is advantageously coated on both sides with an outer layer made of a high molecular weight thermoplastic. This means that both outer sides of the press plate can be used.
In a further preferred embodiment of the invention, a connecting layer made of a suitable adhesive is provided between the light metal sheet forming the carrier layer and the outer layer or the outer layers. Such a connection is easy to establish. The connection layer can also be kept extremely thin compared to the carrier layer.
The object relating to the method for producing the press plate according to the invention is achieved in that a connecting layer made of an adhesive is applied to the entire surface of at least one outer side of the light metal sheet forming the carrier layer, and then at least one outer layer consisting of a high molecular weight thermoplastic material on one or both sides is merged with the light metal sheet according to the contours and that the connecting layer is then hardened under heat and pressure.
Since the light metal sheet itself is produced by rolling and therefore has particularly smooth outer surfaces, the outer side (s) of the backing layer (s) are applied, for example by, to increase the bond between the adhesive and the outer side (s) of the backing layer before the adhesive is applied Grinding, etching, pickling or the like. Roughened. In this case, pickling or etching is preferred in practice because these types of processing are less expensive than grinding and, moreover, both outer sides can be pretreated in one operation.
The thickness of the light metal sheet forming the carrier layer is in the range between 2 and 5 mm. The press plates can first be manufactured as plates with relatively large dimensions and then cut to size and the edges of which may be reworked in a last step. The plastic plates to be glued are also roughened on their rear side facing the press plate in such a way that good gluing occurs between the light metal plate and the plastic plates glued thereon.

An aluminum sheet of the alloy Al Mg 2.7 Mn of approximately 4 mm thickness, which can be seen from FIG. 1, was first rinsed with organic solvents in a chlorinated hydrocarbon solution in order to remove lubricants such as stearates etc. The sheet was then immersed in a pickling bath which had a temperature of 50-70 ° Celsius for 10 minutes. This pretreatment resulted in a gentle surface roughening.
After pickling and subsequent drying, the press plate 1 was coated on both sides with a commercially available epoxy resin 2. The amount of adhesive applied was about 80-100 g / m2. Then, about 1.5 mm thick plates 3 consisting of the highest molecular weight polyethylene were placed on both sides of the adhesive surfaces and the press plate coated in this way was placed in a heatable flat press. The subsequent curing and bonding took place at approx. 120 ° Celsius and a pressure of 10 bar over a period of approx. 10 minutes. The adhesive, consisting of a two-component epoxy resin, must be composed in such a way that it can withstand the effects of heat of at least 60 ° Celsius with regard to its long-term durability. The polyethylene plates were roughened on the back by flames on the back of the press plate so that good adhesion with the adhesive is guaranteed.
After the adhesive had hardened, the press plate was removed from the flat press and cut to the required fixed format.
