Various chassis for sanitary installations, intended to support a battery of apparatuses and sanitary piping, exist on the market.
Most often, such frames are provided with adjustable feet in orientation and height. The adjustment is generally ensured by the fact that the feet consist of a tube having an internal thread, into which is screwed a rod with external thread, this rod bearing, directly or indirectly, on the ground.
Such a solution has the disadvantage of a certain fragility. In fact, your threaded rod, as it is usually found on the market, has a fairly small cross-section. The weight that the chassis can support is therefore limited. One way to avoid this defect would be to simply increase the cross section of the threaded rod. However, at the same time, it would be necessary to increase the diameter of the internal thread of the tube integral with the chassis: or, the thread being generally an attached part fixed in this tube, the increase in its diameter would cause that of the diameter of the tube, thus increasing the weight of the set.
On the other hand, the adjustment of this type of chassis requires a blocking of the threaded rod, blocking which is generally ensured by a lock nut. Even if such a blockage is relatively simple, it requires the editor many movements, and therefore time which is precious on a site.
The present invention aims to provide a frame of the feet from which the position can be easily adjusted, which has a greater strength and rigidity than existing frames, and which is simpler and cheaper.
The invention is described in claim 1.
The drawings show, by way of example, an embodiment of the invention, according to claims 2 to 5.
Figure 1 is a general view of a chassis according to the invention, in perspective perspective.
Figure 2 is a side view of a foot according to the invention.
Figure 3 is a front view of the same foot.
Figure 4 is a sectional view from above of the same foot.
The chassis includes a frame 1, intended to support and fix various sanitary appliances. This frame is made of metal tubes, preferably of galvanized steel, of square section. The feet, adjustable in height and orientation, are constituted by vertical tubes 3, which extend the frame downwards, and inside which are housed cylindrical tubes 4 which can slide in the square tubes 3. On the side of each square tube 3 is placed an opening with an internal thread. A screw 6 with a pointed end is screwed into this thread. In the embodiment shown here, the internal thread is made in a simple way, by welding a bolt on the tube, at the location of the opening. The cylindrical tube 4 is locked in the desired position by screwing the screw 6.
The cylindrical tube is integral with horizontal crosspieces 7, which are provided with orifices 8 allowing attachment to the ground. These crosspieces can be oriented in any position.
Instead of being made by screwing or unscrewing laboriously a threaded rod, the adjustment is done simply by sliding the cylinder 4 in the square tube 3. Similarly, the blocking is done simply by tightening the screw 6, instead of tightening a lock nut against a nut after having put them both at the right height by screwing or unscrewing them for a long time.
Finally, it can be noted that the orientation given to the cross member 7 has no influence on the height of the foot, unlike what is known frames, in which the cross members are integral with the threaded rod.
