Fig. 2 eine Ansicht in Richtung des Pfeiles II der Fig. 1.

PATENT CLAIMS
1. Oxygen measuring probe with a solid electrolyte that conducts oxygen ions and is arranged in a casing, characterized in that a pipe (2) arranged coaxially to the tubular solid electrolyte (1) serves as the casing, the free end face of which has at least one opening (3, 4). is provided, which is protected towards the inside of the pipe with a filter (5)
2. Oxygen measuring probe according to claim 1, characterized in that in the free pipe end (2) at an angle of 90 "arranged slots (3, 4) are made.
3. Oxygen measuring probe according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the tube (2) consists of ceramic material.
4. Oxygen measuring probe according to claim 3, characterized in that the tube (2) consists of porous material.
5. Oxygen measuring probe according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that a glass fiber mat arranged between the free end face of the tube and the solid electrolyte (1) serves as filter (5).
The invention relates to an oxygen measuring probe with a solid electrolyte which conducts oxygen ions and is arranged in a casing.
With oxygen measuring probes of the type mentioned at the outset, it is possible to measure the oxygen concentration in a gas in comparison to a reference gas, in particular air, and to trigger a control process as a function thereof.
For example, such oxygen measuring probes are used in the control of combustion plants via an exhaust gas analysis. The oxygen measuring probes can also be used to determine the composition of a gas, for example in a carburizing plant, provided that the oxygen concentration is a parameter for the composition of the atmosphere. With such oxygen measuring probes it must be ensured that the solid electrolyte protects against mechanical damage and, above all, against clogging by solid particles or soot or the like. is protected, but on the other hand is sufficiently exposed to the medium to be tested.
The invention has for its object to provide a simple oxygen measuring probe of the type mentioned, which is simple to manufacture and which nevertheless ensures sufficient detection of the medium to be tested.
This object is achieved in that a tube arranged coaxially to the tubular solid-state electrolyte serves as the sheathing, the free end face of which is provided with at least one opening which is protected with a filter towards the inside of the tube.
Such an oxygen measuring probe is simple and inexpensive to manufacture and nevertheless ensures good accessibility of the medium to be tested to the solid electrolyte, without the risk of contamination or the like. and therefore a measurement inaccuracy is greater than permissible.
Further features and advantages of the invention result from the following description of the embodiment shown in the drawing and the dependent patent claims. 1 shows a view, partly in the axial direction, of an oxygen measuring probe and
2 is a view in the direction of arrow II of FIG. 1st
The oxygen measuring probe shown has a connection box for electrical connections and the connection of an air line, from which a tubular solid electrolyte protrudes from the side. This solid electrolyte is designed as a tube which is closed on one side and to which a reference gas, for example air, is applied on the inside via a connection (not shown) in the region of the connection box 6. The solid-state electrolyte is held in a connecting tube 7 with its open end, the outside of the solid-state electrolyte being sealed off from the tube 7 with sealing elements 8. The tube is provided with a flange 9, with which it is fastened to the connection box 6 by means of screws.
The tube 7 has a threaded extension 10 outside the housing, with which it or the like in a corresponding thread of a wall of a chamber. is screwed in such a way that the connection box comes to lie outside this chamber and the solid electrolyte 1 lies inside the chamber. A further tube 2 is inserted into the tube 7, which envelops the solid electrolyte and which is sealingly connected to the tube 7, so that between the solid electrolyte 1 and the tube 2 there is a chamber sealed to the connection box 6, which contains the solid electrolyte 1 and thermocouple 11 extends almost over the entire length of the solid electrolyte.
The tube 2, which is preferably made of aluminum oxide, is closed at its free end by a rounded end wall, into which two slots 3 and 4 offset by 90 "are sawn. Via these slots, the chamber stands between the solid electrolyte 1 and the tube 2 A filter 5, which consists of a glass fiber mat, is arranged between the end of the solid-state electrolyte 1 and the end of the tube 2. The tube 2, which can also be produced from a porous ceramic material, protects the solid-state electrolyte 1 and the thermocouple against solid particles in the atmosphere and also against soot.
The slots 3 and 4 made, for example, by sawing, which extend only slightly in their axial length beyond the closing end wall of the tube, establish a sufficient connection between the chamber inside the tube and the atmosphere to be tested.
