Fig. 3 eine Schnittansicht gemäss der Schnittlinie III-III in Fig. 2.

2. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that at least between the uppermost section (22) and the adjoining first downstream section (21) there is a non-driven roller (39).
3. Device according to claim 2, characterized in that the drive for the rollers (23) of the uppermost section (21) via a disengageable clutch (37).
4. The method for operating the device according to claim 1, characterized in that in the case of unpaired documents (A3, B1) the upstream section (22) of the roller conveyor (20) is stopped in order to stop the document (A3) thereon and only to promote the document located next to the next downstream section (21), that before the actuation of the severing knife (15) to sever the subsequent pair of vouchers (B2, B3) said top section (22) is set in motion to convey the document (B1) thereon to the downstream section (21) of the roller conveyor (20) before the subsequent document pair (B2, B3) in the continuous form is separated and thrown onto the roller sections (21, 22).
The present invention relates to a device for ordering documents from continuous forms according to the preamble of independent claim 1 and a method for their operation according to the preamble of independent claim 4.
Endless forms with paired and / or unpaired documents arranged side by side, the so-called two-up in sequence documents, are known. In this case, documents are arranged in pairs in the width of the continuous form on an endless form with edge perforated strips for transport. For example, such an arrangement according to FIG. 1 with three documents A1, A2, A3, five documents B1, B2, B3, B4, B5 or with one document C1 and D1 each as a two-up in sequence with unpaired togetherness or it can be used as two -up in sequence with paired togetherness like the two documents El, E2 or the four documents Fl, F2, F3, F4.
With the automated process of cutting, arranging and storing such documents, problems arose with the layering, so that the lagging document of the paired documents is placed in a storage compartment on the leading document and also that the lagging document in the case of unpaired documents maintains a sufficient distance from the leading document that there is sufficient time between such subsequent documents to change the storage compartment and to move the trailing document into a subsequent storage compartment.
For this purpose, forklift trucks known from the printing house were used, which either lift and arrange the receipts with suction cups, or the receipts were transported or stopped using magnetic pressure on conveyor belts. While the first-mentioned system is too slow for the data processing machines, the speed was probably increased with the second-mentioned system, but the bearings on the conveyor belts were hit and these often had to be replaced.
It is therefore an object of the invention to provide a device in which the documents with paired togetherness are separated from one another during their transport and with which a document is not transported in addition, while the adjacent document is transported with unpaired togetherness.
According to the invention, this is achieved in a device by the features in the characterizing part of independent claim 1.
An embodiment of the invention is explained below with reference to the drawing.
Show it:
1 is a schematic representation of an endless form document set with several documents arranged in pairs and unpaired,
Fig. 2 is a plan view of a device for transporting documents between a cutting station and a storage station, and
3 shows a sectional view along the section line III-III in FIG. 2.
The continuous form according to Fig. 1 shows two document groups A1, A2, A3 and B1, B2, B3, B4, B5 with partly paired and partly unpaired togetherness, so that when stacking the documents in storage compartments it must be ensured that the Receipts with an unpaired relationship A3, B1 are formed a sufficient distance between them so that the rear receipt B1 is safely transported into the subsequent storage compartment.
According to the invention, this is achieved by means of a device according to FIGS. 2 and 3, in that a roller track 20 adjoining the cutting station 10 with two edge cutting knives 12, 14, a center splitting knife 13 and a pair of transverse knives 15 is equipped with two sections 21, 22, each of which is separate are driven. The roller conveyor 20 itself is known from the bookbindery and is used to transport sheets, signatures or even individual sheets. For this purpose, a plurality of rollers 23 are arranged parallel to one another and rotatably supported. Each of these rollers 23 is assigned a ball 24 which is held in a ball cage 25. The balls 24 have a weight that is matched to the paper quality and the paper weight, such that the sheet to be transported can get between the rollers 23 and the balls 24 and be transported.
The ball cage 25 is provided with a stop 26 extending to the rollers 23, through which the edges of the leaves are precisely aligned. The angle between the transport direction and the axis of the rollers 23 is adjustable. The inclined position of the rollers in relation to the transport direction ensures that the transported sheets run against the stop 26 of the ball cage 25 and then run straight away.
As can be clearly seen from FIG. 3, the sections 21 and 22 of the roller track 20 are each provided with a drive. The drive for section 21 consists of a motor 30 with a pulley 31 and a conveyor belt 32, which is pressed onto the rollers 23 by means of pressure rollers 33. Due to the friction thus generated, all rollers 23 of section 21 are driven at the same rotational speed.
With a second pulley 34 on the motor shaft, a disengageable clutch 37 is driven via a drive belt 35 and a pulley 36, which in turn drives the rollers 23 of the second section 22 by means of a second conveyor belt 38 in the same way as the conveyor belt 32 drives the rollers 23 of the first Section.
Between the two sections 21, 22 there is an idling roller 39. This roller 39 does not have to be present in every case, but it can be advantageous insofar as the distance between the two sections is sufficiently large, even at a high operating frequency a safe separation of the documents with un
to ensure paired togetherness. As drawn, this idling roller 39 is at least approximately in the plane of the center splitting knife 13 such that one document B1 falls on one section 22 and the other document A3 falls on the other section 21.
The coupling 37 can be used to stop the second section 22, so that a receipt A3 is transported alone and the subsequent receipt B1 is retained until the storage compartment has been changed.
3 shows, the two pulleys 34, 36 are not the same size. This means that rollers 23 of the second section 22 rotate more slowly than the rollers 23 of the first section 21.
This ensures that documents with a pair of togetherness are separated from one another on the transport route in such a way that the leading document has enough time to fall into the storage compartment until the lagging document arrives. This causes a layered filing in the correct order.
For the control of the clutch 37, a reader 40 is required on the cutting table 10 in order to determine the togetherness of the documents arranged side by side. Such readers 40 are known in data processing technology and therefore do not need to be specifically described here. The clutch 37 determines the operating cycle of the arrangement because its response times are to be taken into account for correct operation. By using a wrap spring clutch, 16,000 pairs of receipts per hour can be separated and stored in layers.
