Description
The invention relates to a method and a device for determining the fault direction according to the preamble of claim 1 and claim 4.
The consequent longitudinal capacitor within the cable train serves in a known manner to more or less largely compensate for the inductive line reactance and is generally provided with a bridging spark gap which ignites and ignites the short-circuit currents flowing over the capacitor above a certain limit due to the corresponding voltage drop across the capacitor protects against overload. If it is assumed that there is a line impedance between the capacitor and a current source, which has a source impedance in the equivalent circuit diagram, then a reliable response of the spark gap cannot be assumed, taking into account the usual spark gap setting,
In connection with the line impedance, the source impedance then results in a total impedance value, which may be the short-circuit current. limited to values that are insufficient for the spark gap to respond. If the capacitor is not bridged by the low-resistance arc of the ignited spark gap, there is a short circuit close to the capacitor on its rear, i.e. the side facing away from the source supplying the short circuit, transient oscillations with a frequency which essentially results from the capacitor capacitance and the inductances (line and source inductances) effective in the resonant circuit. These vibrations of the short-circuit current lead to malfunctions in the function of e.g. Directional or distance relays arranged between capacitor and line, which respond to short circuits in the area between relay and source, i.e. trigger in the sense of a fault shutdown, but should block in the event of faults on the back of the capacitor, as was previously assumed. The fault in practice is that despite a fault in the back of the relay, i.e. in the restricted area, the relay triggers or responds. The reverse fault situation, namely that in the event of a short-circuit on the line in the forward direction of the relay (that is, the direction with respect to the relay location in which the relay should respond to and trigger short-circuits) does not actually trigger, does not occur in practice due to transient current oscillations on. The forward direction of a conventional design with a line image voltage signal and a differential voltage signal, the phase position of which is monitored with respect to a reference voltage and compared with a limit value of generally 90 ° (circular tripping characteristic in the complex impedance level), is due to the positive current direction on the line or given in the image impedance.
4 angegebenen Merkmale. The object of the invention is to provide a method and a device for determining the fault direction of the presupposed type, by means of which a fault triggering of the relay in the event of short-circuits on the back is excluded with greater certainty even in the event of a spark gap generally not assigned to the series capacitor. The solution to this problem is characterized by the features specified in claims 1 and 4, respectively.
The basic idea of the invention is as follows: the critical variable in the relay function is the differential voltage signal already mentioned, namely the difference between the line voltage signal at the measurement location and the line image voltage signal, because this variable includes the line current, which is subject to transient oscillations, or a corresponding current signal, namely in the form of the voltage drop across the forward impedance of the relay (sum of line and source impedance) ei2

Hierin zeigt: on the one hand and on the image impedance on the other. If the image impedance is now set to an amount that is greater than that of the shortest protection zone on the line, i.e. Greater than the image impedance of the first stage of a conventional distance relay with multi-stage staggered error distance monitoring, there is a more or less extensive compensation of the current oscillations within the differential voltage signal because the line voltage signal, in addition to the practically low-harmonic source voltage, results in the negative voltage drop at the forward impulse due to the reversal of the current direction in the event of a reverse error contains and the image voltage signal to be subtracted therefrom is also negative due to the reversal of the current direction. The overall line current is therefore taken into account by a factor which is given by the difference between the image impedance and the forward impedance. However, this difference is also calculated via the line impedance, i.e. with certain deviations from the usual first protection zone setting of a distance relay, increasing image impedance smaller, so that there is a reduced influence of the transients. If image and forward impedance become the same, this influence is practically completely compensated for. With a larger image impedance, the degree of compensation decreases again, but remains within the range between the lower limit, which is given by the usual setting of the first stage of the distance relay required, and an upper limit, which is given by aspects of practical practical implementation, which in any case is above the forward impedance a fundamental compensation effect can be achieved. This means that the fault direction determination, i.e. the non-tripping or blocking of the reverse short circuits critical with regard to transients can be made safer. However, because the monitoring function for the first zone is lost due to the changed setting, a normal distance relay with a suitably set first zone is also required. By simply combining the trigger and lock signals of both relays, i.e. of those with a changed image impedance and that with a conventional image impedance for the first zone, false triggering in the case of backward errors, in particular near errors, can be detected and blocked. The invention is further explained with reference to the drawings using an example. Herein shows:
Fig. 1 eine einphasige Netzkonfiguration mit bezüglich eines Messortes x = 0 mit Richtungsrelais RR und Distanzrelais RD symmetrischen Leitungsabschnitten Zu und ZLr sowie beidseitiger Einspeisung mit Quellenspannungen Ej und Er sowie zugehörigen Quellenimpedanzen ZSi und ZSr, ferner mit einem Längskondensator C, 1 shows a single-phase network configuration with line sections Zu and ZLr which are symmetrical with respect to a measurement location x = 0 with directional relays RR and distance relays RD, and supply on both sides with source voltages Ej and Er and associated source impedances ZSi and ZSr, and also with a series capacitor C,
2 shows the basic circuit diagram of a directional or distance relay that can be used in the present context, and FIG. 3 shows a logic circuit for linking the signals from corrected directional relays and a normally set distance relay with staggered error distance monitoring.
1, the line voltage Uk and the line current I are measured at the measurement location x = 0 and converted into a corresponding signal in each case. The arrows indicate the direction calculated as positive (counting arrows), which is also decisive for the circuit according to FIG. 2 and the difference formation shown therein for the differential voltage signal Ud. Accordingly, relays RD and RR connected in parallel on the measurement side should respond to short circuits to the right of the measurement location. The triggering or viewing direction of the relays is thus given by the positive current direction and the corresponding difference formation according to FIG. 2. A short circuit at X2 is therefore a backward fault which, in the manner explained, can lead to incorrect triggering of the distance relay RD, specifically in the first zone, while generally no further disturbing vibrations occur in further zones which are switched on subsequently. In the example, the resonant circuit is determined by C, ZLr and ZSr. In the case of a relay with the opposite polarity and looking to the left, the same applies to C with ZL1 and ZSI. 2, the differential voltage is generated by subtracting the line image voltage signal Ue from the line voltage signal UK (or an appropriately set portion thereof, see potentiometer P) in a difference generator VD. The image impedance ZE is adjustable or can be switched accordingly in the case of distance relays with staggered zone monitoring, as is generally known and is not shown in more detail. A phase angle limit value detector Phd emits a trigger signal via a binary output element B if the phase angle between Ud and a reference voltage Ur supplied by an encoder Ref has a predetermined limit value of e.g. Exceeds 90 °. Basically, the line voltage signal Uk comes into consideration as Ur, which results in a trip circuit in the complex plane through the zero point. However, the use of a so-called “memory voltage” as a reference voltage is particularly advantageous, as a result of which the trigger circuit is expanded and encompasses the zero point. This makes faulty tripping even more difficult, especially for line voltages with more or less large capacitive components.
In practice, the above-mentioned transient vibrations are hardly disturbing in single-phase short-circuits or earth faults in multi-phase systems, but they do occur in two-phase short-circuits, although the basic relationships are nevertheless to be understood on the basis of single-phase relationships as shown in FIG. 1.
An evaluation logic circuit for two-phase short circuits in a three-phase system is indicated in FIG. 3. A directional relay RRrs or RRst or RRtr corrected according to the invention is provided for the phase linkages RS, ST and TR. The outputs are brought together via an OR gate 01 and connected to an AND gate U3, which also receives the output signal from a distance relay RD with timer ZS. The blocking (logical 0) of a directional relay when the reverse fault is correctly detected thus blocks the possible triggering (logical 1) of RD with U3. Output A2 therefore carries a corrected monitoring signal for the first zone of RD. After switching to the second zone, the time switch ZS always triggers via an AND gate U1 at a further output AI if RD responds.
In order to limit the correction to two-phase short circuits, excitation circuits ARr, ARS, ARt assigned to the individual phases R, S, T are provided with linking AND gates URS, UST, UTS in accordance with the phase linkages. The output of an OR gate 02 which disjunctively summarizes these interlinkings therefore supplies an enable signal (logical 1) only if any two-phase short circuit occurs. This release signal is required for a trigger signal at A2 because of an AND gate U2 inserted between RD and U3 and controlled via an input from 02. After a predetermined period of time t has elapsed, U2 is blocked by a timing element ZG with a negative output (inverter), so the release signal is ended in any case. This takes into account the fact that a memory voltage generated in the usual way by means of a resonant circuit is only available as Ur for a limited time.
In addition, a trip independent of the corrected directional relays depending on RD and 02 (any more than one-phase short circuit) is provided at an output A3 in the event of a three-phase short circuit.
