Abstract

The preparation of pilocarpine pamoate from stoichiometric amounts of pilocarpine and pamoic acid is described. The resulting reaction product has an oily consistency. It is dried and then milled to a powder. The resulting pilocarpine pamoate can be used as vehicle for medicaments suitable for the treatment of eye diseases.
