Abstract
The composition contains, relative to the polymer, 0.1 to 5 % by weight of at least one salt of a carboxylic acid and of a divalent metal for stabilising these polymers, and from 0.05 to 5 % by weight of at least one beta -diketonic organic compound of formula R1-CO-CHR2-CO-R3 in which at least one of the radicals R1 and R3 has a number of carbon atoms at least equal to 25 and in which the sum of the carbon atoms in the radicals R1, R2 and R3 is at least 30. Such compositions resist yellowing and thermal degradation at elevated temperatures which may be up to 230 DEG C.
