The present invention relates to an electric push-button switch, for a timepiece, comprising an elastically deformable part, made of a conductive elastomer, subjected to the action of said push-button.
It should be noted that electrical push-button switches as defined above are known per se.
The object of the present invention is to provide a construction of such a switch which is at the same time simple, and therefore inexpensive, robust and reliable.
To this end, the switch according to the invention is characterized by the fact that it comprises a sleeve-shaped frame in which said part is partially housed in a conductive elastomer, this part having an elongated central part held in the center of the sleeve. by a lateral part of tubular shape, matching the inner face of the wall of the sleeve, and which is connected to the elongated central part by an annular wall extending transversely with respect to the axis of said part, and by the fact that its pusher rests on one end of the elongated central part as well as on one end of the tubular lateral part of the part made of a conductive elastomer,
The other end of said lateral part bearing axially on an internal shoulder of the sleeve constituting the frame, all in such a way that,
when pressure is exerted on the pusher, said tubular lateral part is elastically deformed by crushing under the effect of the pressure exerted on it, which allows its elongated central part to move longitudinally and to come into contact , at least indirectly, with an element of an electrical circuit which, thanks to its own conductivity, it closes.
The drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention.
Fig. I is an axial section, on a scale of 10: 1, of an electric wristwatch switch in the rest position, and
fig. 2 is an axial section of this switch in the working position.
The switch shown comprises a frame 1, in the form of a sleeve, driven into the middle part 2 of a wristwatch case. This frame I encloses a part 3 made of an elastically deformable conductive elastomer which has an elongated central part 3a and a lateral part 3b, of tubular shape, conforming to the inner face of the wall of the sleeve 1.
The central part 3a is held in the center of the lateral part 3b by an annular wall 3c, connecting the part 3a to the part 3b, which extends transversely with respect to the axis of the part 3.
The switch comprises a push-button 4 sliding in the frame I and in a central recess 5 of which is engaged one of the ends of the elongated central part 3a of the part 3. This push-button has a shoulder 4a resting on one of the ends of the tubular lateral part 3b of the part 3, the other end of this lateral part 3b bearing axially on an internal shoulder 1a of the frame 1.
It follows from this arrangement that, when pressure is exerted on the pusher 4, as indicated by the arrow 6 in FIG. 2, the lateral part 3b of the part 3 is elastically deformed, by crushing, allowing the central part 3a to move longitudinally.
The end of the central part 3a of the part 3 opposite to that which is engaged in the push-button 4 protrudes from the frame I and carries a metal pad 7, constituting a stud coming into contact, when the push-button 4 is pressed. , with a part 8 of an electrical circuit of the watch that it thus closes, putting this part 8 to the ground, thanks to the conductivity of part 3.
When the push-button 4 is released, it automatically returns to its initial position under the effect of the elasticity of the part 3.
