The present invention relates to an automatic parts feed device which can be attached to the end of an electric screwdriver or any other device used for fitting pins. screws. spikes, needles, etc.
Currently the operation of feeding a screwdriver is done manually.
The screws are thrown loose on a mesh undergoing vibrations.
As a result of these vibrations, the screws are lodged in the holes of the mesh presenting the head to the operator. This takes the screw thus positioned using a screwdriver and places it in the parts to be assembled, then with the electric screwdriver he screws it. This operation being manual requires time and great attention on the part of the worker.
The present invention attempts to remedy these drawbacks.
The device attached to the end of the hand tool is characterized in that it consists of two parts, a fixed support where are connected a suction connection and another for the supply of parts and a movable lever pivoting on the support and comprising at its end a plate pierced with a channel in which the parts are sucked, this movable lever making it possible to bring the parts opposite the end of the tool.
The appended drawings illustrate schematically and by way of example an embodiment of the supply device which is the subject of the invention.
Fig. 1 is an overall and front view of the screwdriver equipped with the power supply device.
Fig. 2 is a side view of the feed device.
Fig. 3 is a sectional view of the end of the feed device.
Fig. 4 shows the movable lever opposite the suction channel of the screwdriver, the screw already in position for assembly.
The accompanying drawings illustrate a device for automatically feeding screws to an electric screwdriver.
The electric screwdriver 1 comprises a nozzle 2 at the suction channel at its end. The feed device 3 is attached to the screwdriver above this nozzle.
The device 3 consists of a fixed support 4 provided at its end with a plate S comprising a suction connection 6 and a supply connection 7.
On this fixed support 4 pivots a mobile lever 8 comprising at its end a plate 9 which is housed in a recess 10 made in the plate 5 of the support 4.
The movable lever 8 is pivoted manually using a pin 11.
The suction connector 6 is connected to a suction source by a flexible pipe 12.
The supply connector 7 is connected to a device for sorting and conveying one to one of the screws by a flexible pipe 13.
In the plate 9 is pierced a suction channel 14 and a housing 15.
The screw is brought by the flexible pipe 13 into the housing 15 by means of the suction passing through the flexible pipe 12 and the channel 14. By pivoting the movable lever 8, the screw is brought into position opposite the nozzle. 2 of screwdriver I. This nozzle 2, also containing a suction passing through the connector 16, sucks up the screw (fig. 4) and retains it. A return spring brings the movable lever 8 back to its original position (fig. I and 3).
A new screw can then be loaded. The action of the movable lever 8 can be controlled manually or automatically (example electromagnet, piston). Each time the lever is moved to have a screw on the nozzle of the screwdriver, the suction is cut in the supply connection 13. In fact, when the lever is moved the channel 14 is no longer opposite the channel 14a connected to the. flexible pipe 12 and the suction is no longer transmitted to the flexible pipe 13.
This system saves time, it can be used for feeding parts other than screws.
