The present invention relates to a shearing machine with a movable worktable, comprising a fixed blade and a movable blade.
Mobile worktable shearing and cutting machines have recently experienced a great expansion. Their main interest is to shear without distortion.
Such a machine has a first fixed blade and a second movable blade which can move over the first blade, for the purpose of cutting or shearing along their leading edges, a movable worktable giving way. under the action of pressure and which, in its rest position. is adjacent to the leading edge of the first blade and is on the path described by the second blade as it moves, and coil springs or spring washers which oppose movement of the table out of its position of motion. rest when the second blade moves over the first.
It has been found that as a result of continuous use, especially for high efficiency use, such a machine tends to shear with increasing distortion during operation.
According to the exemplary embodiment described, one of the ends of the worktable is fixed to the movable blade, which, in certain circumstances. appears as a drawback.
The present invention proposes to provide a shearing machine for which the aforementioned drawbacks are largely eliminated.
The shearing machine according to the invention is characterized in that it is provided with a hydraulic device intended to oppose a reaction force to the displacement of the table during the operation of the machine.
According to a preferred embodiment, the piston and the cylinder are fixed to both ends of the work table. In this case the rod of each piston can be connected to the table while the cylinders are fixed to the frame of the machine. A method of fixing the piston rods on the table and the cylinders on the frame can also be provided. allowing relative pivoting movement. Constant pressure can be applied to the cylinder through the use of a valve which combines the functions of a reducing valve and a leakage valve.
The invention will be better understood by referring to the description given by way of example of an embodiment and to the appended drawing in which:
fig. 1 is a front view of a movable worktable shearing machine where the table is shown mounted on pistons and cylinders, and
fig. 2 is a sectional view along line A-A 'of FIG. 1, some parts being detached.
The shearing machine shown has a mobile upper blade 1 and a fixed lower blade 2. A work table 3 adjacent to the fixed blade and located in the extension of the mobile blade, is mounted on a leaf spring 4. The spring 4 is arched along its length so that, when subjected to no stress, its central part is curved in the direction of the movable blade 1.
While the machine is not running a bracket 5 is used to pull the spring down onto the worktable.
The ends of the table are pivotably mounted on the rods 6 of the pistons which cooperate with the cylinders 7 fixed to the frame of the machine. More precisely, the pistons and the cylinders are mounted between the table 3 and the frame of the machine and tend to act on the table in a direction opposite to that of the movement of the movable blade during the operation of the machine.
A pressurized fluid is supplied to each of the cylinders 7 through a valve (not shown) so that the displacement of the table during the operation of the machine is made against the pressure forces which prevail in the cylinders. The valve used has a bypass allowing the functions of a reducing valve and a leak valve to be grouped together. As a result, the cylinders are supplied under constant pressure by the hydraulic system of the machine.
The mounting of the table 3. of the piston rods 6, of the cylinders 7 on the frame of the machine allows relative pivoting movements such that the table can move along paths other than those authorized by the stroke of the pistons.
During the operation of the shears, the blade I is moved downwards over the blade 2 to make a cut along their leading edges. During this operation, the table is moved out of its rest position where it is adjacent to the blade 2. Such a movement opposes the reaction force of the pistons, the cylinders of which are supplied with a fluid under constant pressure.
The reaction force is constant throughout the movement of the pistons. In certain cases, however, it would be preferable for the movement of the pistons to be subjected to an increasing reaction force, which could be achieved by the installation of several leakage valves successively coming into action.
When the operation is completed, the blade is pushed upwards under the action of the constant pressure prevailing in the cylinders. If the cylinders 7 are connected to the machine's hydraulic system, the worktable will be raised automatically.
It may be useful, in certain circumstances, to provide additional hydraulic cylinders arranged along the work table. In other cases, for example when a particularly short table is required, a single cylinder is sufficient.
It can be seen that the shears, the work table of which is supported by the hydraulic device, retain their ability to shear without distortion throughout their operation.
