The invention relates to an additional binding part for cross-country skis.
The invention consists in that a wedge attached to the boot heel is attached to the ski when the feet transition from the cross-country skiing position to the standing or downhill position. Insert a fork that widens outwards with ever decreasing play.
The drawing shows an additional part of the binding after the innovation, for example, showing approximately natural size:
Fig. 1 a ski boot with cross-country skis and the additional binding part according to the invention seen from the rear and
2 shows the rear part of the ski boot with cross-country skis and the same additional binding part seen from the side.
In paragraph 1 of a cross-country ski boot 2, a plate 4 is fastened with four screws 3. which carries a wedge-shaped, downwardly tapering, hook-shaped projection 5.
To give the screws 3 a firm hold in paragraph 1. a sufficiently strong material such as polyvinyl chloride is proposed for this. In the illustrated Ahfnhrtstellung the foot or ski boot, the wedge-shaped projection 5 is in a strong upward kzw. fork 6 which widens outwards and which forms a rigid part with a flat plate 7. The plate 7 is connected to the top of the ski 9 by screws S in this way. that even if the binding on the front part of the boot gives way, in which the boot can wander away a little forwards over time, the wedge 5 will certainly still find its full guidance in the fork 6.
The height of the fork 6 is kept so low that the wedge 5 leaves the fork 6 even if the heel is lifted slightly while walking and thus allows the large stepping movement necessary for cross-country skiing completely unhindered. On the other hand, the fork 6 is high enough to be able to exert any amount of force with the heels on the skis without play during the descent. With the additional binding according to the invention, the foot retains the freedom necessary for cross-country skiing, but it can be found in standing or
Downhill position, in which the plowing, caulking and parallel turns required for downhill skiing are performed, a secure hold that was previously only possible with bindings that hold the entire foot permanently on the ski.
In addition, the additional binding according to the invention has no moving parts that could easily fail, and that it is only light, as is essential for cross-country skiing.
PATENT CLAIM
Additional binding part for cross-country skis, characterized. that a (3, 4) wedge (5) attached to the heel of the boot (1) is attached to a (8) attached to the ski (9) during the transition of the feet from the cross-country skiing position to the standing or downhill position. Fork (6) that widens outwards is inserted with ever decreasing play.
