Abstract
The pipe, esp. of quartz, has the U. V. discharge tubeS, detachably mounted in holders, in close contact with its walls and surrounded by an outer reflector cylinder whose end caps are tight fitting and prevent axial movement. They in turn are anchored by flexible hose sections pushed over the ends of the quartz tube and with quick release couplings at their outer ends. Appts. gives high germ killing efficiency and easy maintenance.
