Description

Matchbook The present invention relates to a matchbook made of a strip of flexible sheet material folded back on itself in at least two transverse folds which divide it into three parts, much like in the pouches. known.

The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, two embodiments of this pouch.

Figs. 1 to 3 relate to the first form, and FIG. 4, the second.

We see that everywhere the two parallel folds are separated by a length a little greater than that of the matches A which form a plane bundle stapled to the strip inside the folds P2 and P4.

In fig. 1 to 3, the folds P1 and P2 are formed by two or more angular folds less than 180 degrees, while the folds P3 and P4 of FIG. 4 are rounded.

These invoice details are of no importance with regard to what characterizes the invention, namely the way in which the friction plate F of the matches is arranged. This way implies that certain dimensions and proportions are given to the three parts 131, B2 and B3 in which the folded strip is divided by the two folds.

The parts B2 and B3, which comprise the ends of the strip, are of unequal lengths and such that the longer one, B2, can cover the bundle for most of its length, while the other, B3, is folded down. on the foot of the beam that it covers over a length of the order of a centimeter and a half.

In the known pockets, it is this part of the strip which is coated, on its external face, with the material constituting the ignition wiper, usually of their brown neck. However, it can be seen in FIGS. 2 and 3, that the wiper F is located at the end of the long part B2 and that the short part B3 is long enough for this wiper to be entirely covered by it when the pocket is closed. This has the advantage that the wiper is well protected in this position.

When you want to use it, you press it outside of part B3.

The clip which fixes the beam as in the known pockets is here designated by C. The rubbing has the shape of a rectangular strip whose length is parallel to the folds of the strip and whose width is at least five millimeters. Each of the folding folds of the strip can be formed of two or more angular folds, that is to say each having the edge of a dihedral angle or else be rounded as in FIG. 3.
