Timepiece The present invention relates to a timepiece comprising a casing frame having on its outer face a groove in which is partially engaged an annular piece of elastic and compressible material clamped between two elements of the case so that the movement is resiliently suspended and protected from impact, according to the claim of the main patent.
The drawback of this arrangement lies mainly in the fact that, the sealing gasket, which is interposed between the bottom and the box body, being located below the resilient annular part, relative to the bottom, the latter cannot not be beveled on the outside, because the bevel would bite into the space reserved for this trim.
As a result, the external appearance of the box is massive, the bevelling having the effect, as is known, of lightening the box by reducing its apparent height.
The object of the present invention is to make it possible to achieve this result while retaining the construction, and the advantages, of the object of the main patent.
The timepiece according to the invention is characterized in that the case body is constituted by a caseback, the resilient annular piece being clamped between a bearing surface of this caseback and the glass bezel, the trim d 'sealing, carried by the fondcarrure, being located in the vicinity of the edge thereof, beyond the elastic annular part relative to the bottom, and being compressed axially by said bezel.
It should be noted that the fact of suspending the movement in its case, by means of an elastic ring clamped between a bearing surface of the case body and the glass bezel, is known per se.
The drawing represents, by way of example, two embodiments of the object of the invention.
Figs. 1 and 2 are two partial axial sections of two watches. The watch shown in FIG. 1 comprises a movement 1 housed in a so-called monocoque case, that is to say the caseback of which, designated by 2, is in one piece. The movement is suspended in the box by means of a casing frame comprising on the one hand an inner metal circle 3 on which the movement is fixed by means not shown such as a fixing key or others, and a section ring circular 4, made of rubber, partially engaged in a groove 5, of circular arc section, presented by the outer face of the ring 3.
The ring 4 rests on an interior bearing surface 6 presented by the caseback 2 and is applied axially against this bearing by a glass bezel 7, screwed into the caseback 2, and which bears on this ring. The crystal, designated by 8, provided with a tension ring 9, is mounted in a notch in the bezel 7. A seal 10 is interposed between the latter and the caseback 2. A false bezel 11, mounted at notch on the caseback 2, covers the bezel 7 and the eye mask.
The embodiment of FIG. 2 differs from the first by the fact that the crystal, designated by 12, is a crystal of the so-called sapphire type, made of mineral matter, which it is not possible to set up like the crystal 8 of the first form of execution. Therefore, the glass bezel is made, in this embodiment, in two parts, namely two rings 13 and 14 assembled together by screwing. The ring 13 bears on the internal face of the crystal 12, on the periphery thereof, and presses it axially against the ring 14 which bears on the edge of the crystal, designated by 15, which is frustoconical.
A seal 16 is interposed between the rings 13 and 14 forming the glass bezel. The ring 14 is screwed inside the case back, designated by 2, as in the first embodiment.

It should be noted that, in the two embodiments described and shown, the seal is located, relative to the bottom, beyond the elastic annular part for suspension of the movement. As a result, this sealing gasket does not interfere with the provision, in the outer face of the base, of a bevel, designated by 17 in FIGS. 1 and 2, which decreases the apparent height of the box and thus makes it lighter in appearance.
