Le dessin annexé représente, à titre d'exemple, une forme d'exécution de l'objet de la présente invention La fig. IA est une coupe verticale partielle au travers de la partie supérieure de l'un des deux carters du store, montrant l'empilage de lamelles ainsi qu'une partie de leur mécanisme d'entraînement, la fig. 1B est une vue similaire à celle de la fig. IA, illustrant une autre partie de ce mécanisme ; la fig. 2 est une coupe analogue à celle des fig. IA et 1B, pratiquée dans la partie inférieure du carter ;
Tilting slat blind The main patent relates to a tilting slat blind for closing off the opening of a window or a door, in which these slats form a stack in the upper part of the opening, in raised position of the blind, comprising a mechanism for the vertical drive of the slats as well as a control device for their tilting, characterized in that this mechanism and this device are enclosed in two housings arranged in said opening, along of its vertical walls, on either side of said slats.
In a particular embodiment, each casing of this blind has a longitudinal slot on its face turned towards the inside of said opening and the slats are provided at each end with a pivot pin through which they are engaged in said opening. housings, through said slots, the mechanism for the vertical drive and the device for controlling the tilting of the slats taking hold on the axes of each slat.
The present invention specifically relates to a blind having these features and which is characterized by the fact that the mechanism comprises, in each casing, a series of pairs of levers, in number at least equal to that of the slats of the blind, articulated with pair by pair by their ends and between levers of each pair by their median part, the axis of mutual articulation of the levers of each pair being formed each time by the pivot axis of a determined slat of the blind, by the fact that each of said series of pairs of levers is suspended by its upper end from the top of the opening to be closed and that means engaging the lower end of each series make it possible to lead these pairs of levers to be in the collected position in the upper zone of said opening,
or in a relaxed position in which the slats which are fixed thereto are distributed over the entire height of this opening. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, means provide for the balancing of at least part of the weight of the elements of the blind capable of moving axially.
The accompanying drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the present invention. FIG. IA is a partial vertical section through the upper part of one of the two awning casings, showing the stacking of slats and part of their drive mechanism, fig. 1B is a view similar to that of FIG. IA, illustrating another part of this mechanism; fig. 2 is a section similar to that of FIGS. IA and 1B, made in the lower part of the housing;
fig. 3 is a section along III-III of FIG. IA, Figs. 4 and 5 respectively represent the upper part and the lower part of the mechanism for driving the slats of the blind and of the device for controlling their tilting located in each of the two casings of this blind; fig. 6 is an elevational view of a detail appearing in FIGS. IA, 1B and 4.
The blind which will now be described comprises a vertical drive mechanism for the slats and a device for controlling their tilting which are contained in two housings arranged on either side of the opening to be closed by the blind, the along the vertical edges of this opening. The following description will constantly refer to only one of these housings, it being understood that the second is in all points identical to the first.
At the upper part of such a casing, which is constituted by a tubular element 1 of rectangular parallelepiped shape (fig. 3), there is a pulley 2 mounted on a pin 3, the second end of which is engaged in the second casing of the store and carries a pulley in all points similar to this pulley 2; the axis 3 is also pivoted in a block of plastic 4 fixed to the housing.
The axis 3 is the motor shaft of the blind and can be driven in rotation by the user, for example by acting on a suitable crank connected to this axis by a cog, not shown.
A cable 5 is mounted on this pulley 2 extending over the entire height of the casing 1 and also stretched over a pulley 6 disposed at the lower part of this casing. This cable is fixed to the lower lamella 7a of the stack of lamellae 7 which is shown in the raised position in the drawing (fig. IA).
Each strip has at its two ends a sleeve 7b in the opening of which is fixed a pin 8 provided with a lever 9 at its free end, which lever is engaged by one end 9a in a tubular section G by passing through a slot longitudinal section of this profile. A clip 9b prevents the end 9a of the lever from coming out of the profile.
The different slats of the blind are connected in pairs by means of a series of pairs of levers 10 and 11 in number corresponding to that of the slats and articulated by their middle part around the axis 8 of the corresponding slat.
Each lever 10 is further hingedly fixed at one end to one of the end parts of lever 11 of the top pair and at the other end to the second end part of lever 11 of the bottom pair.
The same applies to each lever 11 which is fixed by its terminal ends to the right end of the lever 10 of the upper pair, respectively to the left end of the lower lever 10. These end joints are made by rivets 12a and 12b (fia. 3).
The chain of pairs of levers thus formed in an accor deon is suspended from a frame 13 arranged at the upper part of the casing by means of two links 14a and lob.
This chain ends at its lower part with two levers of half length, 15a and 15b (fia. 5), which are articulated at their common points around an axis similar to the axis 8 previously described and therefore also carries a blade. which is the lamella occupying the lower place in the stack.
The guiding of the slats during their vertical movement is provided by the edges of a slot 1a made in each casing 1 through which pass the bushings 7b of each slat.
The position in which the slats 7 are stacked at the top of the opening to be closed by the blind (fia. IA) corresponds to the folded position of the pairs of levers 10 and 11 (fia. 1B ).
When the blind is on the contrary lowered, the assembly formed by the pairs of levers 10 and 11 is stretched to the maximum, as illustrated in fia. 4 and 5.
Thanks to the presence of braces which ensure the mutual suspension of the slats of the blind, these slats move at an equal distance from each other and practically silently.
As described above, the drive of the blinds is controlled by the action of the cable 5, which is driven by the pulley 2 when the latter is rotated. For particularly large dimension blinds, it is understood that the weight to be moved is relatively high, which may in certain cases require the use of a control motor, in particular to lift the blind.
The awning lifting operation is greatly facilitated by the fact that a spring 16 is provided which compensates for part of the weight of the awning (fia. 4), fixed to the housing 1 by its lower end 16a and of which the upper end is connected to a cable winding on a return pulley 18 pivoted on the plate 13, said cable being fixed at mid-height of the awning, when the latter is in the lowered position, the spring then being stretched as it is. is the case in the drawing.
This spring 16 also has the advantage of damping the center of the blind which therefore does not tend to move with too high a speed.
When the blinds are intended to close openings of particularly large height and that consequently the slat support braces are very long, it may happen that certain levers constituting these braces come to occupy a practically vertical position in the closed position of the blind , so that it is then impossible to raise the blind again, the levers of the spider no longer being able to bend.
In the blind shown, it is not possible that the levers 10 and 11 can be placed in a vertical position because the heads of the rivets 12a and 12b (fia. 3) provided at each of their ends abut against the edges delimiting the slot 1a of each housing 1 before these levers can occupy said vertical position.
As a variant, the levers forming the braces could be assembled at their ends by pins held by clips and the plate 13 could have two lugs 13a and 13b (fia. 6) which are inserted between the links 14a and 14b in the aim to prevent them from occupying an upright position.
The control of the tilting of the slats is obtained thanks to the arrangement which will now be described. The profile G (fi g. 3) is fixed in an articulated manner at the end of two levers 19a and 19b (fig. 4 and 5) , articulated in turn on the housing 1 in 19. This profile can therefore be tilted by a translational movement from a first position visible in fia. IA and 1B in a second position illustrated by the fia. 4 and 5. The control of this tilting is obtained by direct action of the blind when it is about to reach the lower end of the opening that it must close.
In fact, the lower part of the section G carries at 20a an L-shaped lever 20 which is in contact by its edge 21 forming a cam with the wall of the housing 1 and the free end of which is provided with a stud 22.
When the blind approaches its closed position, this stud is capped by a U-shaped pusher, 23, which is integral with the axis 8 of the lower slat of the blind and which therefore follows this axis in its possible pivoting.
When the blind is lowered, the levers 9 are in a position such that the pusher 23 is turned towards the bottom of the opening to be closed, the wings of the pusher being vertical and extending on either side of the plane. containing all the axes 8 of the blind.
At the end of the travel of the blind, this pusher therefore envelops the stud 22 by its wings and pushes it downwards at the same time as it causes the lever 21 to tilt in direction F (fia. 2) which is guided in this movement. by contact of its rounded part 20a, for mant cam, with the housing 1. As this lever 20 is connected to the section G by an articulation and that this section is itself fixed to the housing 1 in an articulated manner by means of the levers 19a and 19b, it is obvious that the tilting of the levers 20 in the direction F will produce a corresponding displacement of the levers 19a and 19b and will cause the section G in motion, from right to left in the drawing.
Since, moreover, the axes 8 of the various slats can only be the object of a vertical displacement and that it is impossible for them to move transversely to the axis of the slot 1a of the housing ensuring their guidance, the levers 9 of each slat will be forced to tilt when moving the G profile.
The angular travel of these levers 9 will be such that the slats of the blind which are in a horizontal position (fig. IA) during the entire lowering of the blind, that is to say as long as the profile G remains in the position of fig. 2, will take the folded down position visible in fig. 4 and 5 in the second limit position of this section. The slats are of course of such length that they overlap in the folded position of the blind.
It is obvious that they take their horizontal position as soon as the awning is started to be raised again, that is to say as soon as the push-button 23 begins to rise while driving the lever 20 in an angular direction opposite to F ( fig. 2).
When the blind is fully lowered, it is of course possible to place the slats in an intermediate angular position between full closure and full opening.
