Verpackungshilfsmittel
Fig. 1 eine perspektivische Darstellung eines Verpackungshilfsmittels, das zur Aufnahme von Flaschen geeignet ist;
Fig. 6 illustriert eine andere Hersteilungsmöglich keit.
Packaging aids
The present invention relates to a packaging aid.
The object of the invention is essentially to design a packaging aid so that it offers a stop for a large number of identical objects, such as bottles, cans, boxes, etc., in two opposite directions and in a direction perpendicular to these, so that the final packaging to unite the plurality of objects can be done by machine in a simple manner.
The packaging aid that meets these requirements is, according to the invention, essentially characterized by a rectangular, flat base piece and an equally large cover piece arranged at a distance parallel to the base piece and by two symmetrical and parallel to the plane through the longitudinal axes of the base piece and the cover piece flat web pieces which are connected to the bathing piece and the cover piece, the distance between the riser pieces being less than the width of the bottom piece and the cover piece.
Further details of the invention emerge from the subclaims and from the following description, in which an exemplary embodiment of the packaging aid according to the invention is explained with reference to the accompanying drawing. In the drawing shows:
1 shows a perspective illustration of a packaging aid which is suitable for receiving bottles;
FIGS. 2 to 5 show cross sections of the packaging aid according to FIG. 1 in different phases of a manufacturing process, and
Fig. 6 illustrates another manufacturing possibility.
The packaging aid according to FIG. 1 is made from a single rectangular cardboard blank 10, which is folded by folding around folding axes 11 to 18 parallel to each other and to two parallel rectangular sides to form a structure whose cross-sectional contours are similar to those of a double T-beam. The two parallel to the folding axes 11 to 18 rectangular edge parts 19 and 20 of the Kar tonzuschnittes 10 overlap and are connected to one another with staples 21.
The packaging aid thus has a rectangular, flat base piece 22 and a cover piece 23 of the same size parallel to it at a distance. In order to maintain the above-mentioned distance, the two web pieces 24, 25 lying symmetrically and parallel to the plane through the longitudinal axes of the base piece 22 and the cover piece 23 are arranged between the base piece 22 and the cover piece 23, the distance between them being significantly smaller than the width of the base piece 22 and the cover piece 23. The connection of the web pieces 24, 25 with the bottom and top pieces 22 and 23 is made via four leg pieces 26, 27, 28 and 29, which each paxtie a longitudinal edge of the web pieces 24, 25 with the adjacent longitudinal edge portion of the bottom - Connect the cover piece 22 or 23 with each other.
The leg pieces 26, 27, 28 and 29 abutting the web pieces 24, 25 at right angles lie against the opposing inner surfaces of the bottom and top pieces 22 and 23.
The exemplary embodiment of the packaging aid according to the invention shown in FIG. 1 is particularly suitable for receiving bottles which have a spherical bottle body. Circular cutouts 30 are therefore provided in the web pieces 24 and 25 in order to partially fix the bottles and to utilize the space between the web pieces, into which the bottles can engage.
Further cutouts 31 and 32 are cut out of the leg pieces 28 and 29 or 26 and 27 connected to the base piece 22 and to the cover piece 23, respectively. The cutouts 31 and 32, which in the present example of use of the packaging aid according to FIG. 1 are adapted to the bottom or closure section of the bottles to be combined to form a package, are also used to partially fix the bottles.
In the cover piece 23 recesses 33 arranged one behind the other are attached at regular intervals in the longitudinal direction, into which organs, for. B. drive pins of a conveyor of a packaging machine can intervene. Similar recesses can also be made in the base piece 22 for the same purpose.
In FIGS. 1 to 5, the production of a packaging aid according to FIG. 1 is sketched purely by way of example. The originally flat rectangular piece of cardboard or a rectangular blank of another foldable sheet-like material is provided with the recesses 30, 31, 32 and 33 and shaped into a flattened tube according to FIG. 2, the longitudinal edge portions 19 and 23 running parallel to the folds 22a and 23a 20 form an overlapping seam which is stapled with staples.
The folding axes 11 to 18 and 22a and 23a are advantageously scored or stamped into the piece of cardboard 10 as long as it is still flat. To unfold the structure, the cardboard sections which form the web pieces 24, 25 are now pressed against each other, and at the same time a pressure directed against the web pieces 24, 25 is exerted on the lower and upper folds 22a and 23a, whereby the structure has a cross section according to FIG. 3 accepts. The web pieces 24, 25 are then released and the folds 22a and 23a are moved towards one another until the structure assumes the cross section of the packaging aid according to FIG.
4 shows the cross section of the structure in an intermediate stage of deformation. The manufacturing operations described can be mechanized in a relatively simple manner.
In FIG. 6, another manufacturing possibility is indicated, in which the auxiliary folds 22a and 23a along the longitudinal axes of the base piece 22 and the cover piece 23 can be dispensed with. The manufacturing process is as follows:
The originally flat piece of cardboard is provided with the cutouts 30, 31, 32 and the recesses 33 as well as with scores or impressions for the fold axes 11 to 18.
A flattened tube is then formed, the cardboard sections lying outside the fold axes 12 and 16 being folded against each other by 1800 about the fold axes mentioned and the overlapping longitudinal edge sections 19 and 20 connected to one another. Now, for example, with the pipe lying flat, the leg piece 28 is pressed against the bottom piece 22 and the latter is held on a base and finally the cardboard structure for the packaging aid according to FIG. 1 is erected by moving and lifting the folding axis 12 in the direction of arrow P (FIG. 6).
This manufacturing process can also be carried out automatically in a relatively simple manner.
The packaging aid according to the invention is used for packaging objects whose one dimension is at least approximately equal to the distance between the cover piece 23 and the bottom piece 22. The objects to be packaged are pushed between the base piece 22 and the cover piece 23 and lined up next to one another. The resulting structure is then wrapped in a packaging film. Wrapping paper or a transparent film material can be used as the packaging film, the latter being in particular a shrink film that shrinks under the influence of heat.
Both the insertion of the Ge to be packaged, which can be done from the longitudinal side against the web pieces 24, 25 or in the longitudinal direction parallel to the latter, as well as the wrapping with a packaging foil are processes that can be carried out by machine.
The advantages of the described packaging aid essentially consist in the fact that fewer and simpler steps have to be carried out for its production than, for example, in the production of conventional folding boxes from cardboard or corrugated cardboard and that, in particular, the unfolding or erection in the state of use can be done easily by machine. Furthermore, in order to protect lettering printed on bottles, it is possible in a simple manner to prevent these touching one another. Another advantage is that when a transparent packaging film is used, there is no need to label the packaging.
