Reversible printing unit for rotary offset machines The invention relates to a reversible printing unit for rotary offset machines.
With the use of rotary offset machines for newspaper printing, the demand for full color flexibility, which has existed for a long time in newspaper printing and which has been satisfactorily resolved in letterpress printing, has also been carried into offset machine construction. This requires reversible printing units.
In addition to the devices for reversing printing units, which are known from letterpress printing, in offset the dampening unit should first act on the printing plate in the direction of rotation and only then should the inking unit act. Thus, depending on the direction of rotation of the cylinder, the dampening unit must be on one side and on the other side of the inking unit. This requires a very large amount of space, which is usually only available in the area of the plate cylinder if very large concessions are made to the possibility of operation.
The invention eliminates these disadvantages in that at least one roller carrying ink is exchangeable for at least one roller carrying wiping fluid and at least one other roller carrying wiping water against at least one roller carrying ink, the ink carrying, replaceable roller with the feeding roller Part of the inking unit is in contact, while the exchangeable roller leading to the fountain water remains without contact with the feeding part of the inking unit, but works together with fountain water-feeding means.
An exemplary embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing. It shows: FIG. 1 the roller arrangement for the plate cylinder rotation direction in the clockwise direction, FIG. 2 the roller arrangement for the plate cylinder rotation direction in the counterclockwise direction.
If the paper web 1, as shown in FIG. 1, is guided upward in the direction of the arrow, the illustrated rubber cylinder 2 rotates counter-clockwise and the plate cylinder 3 rotates clockwise. The rollers 4, 5, 6 are then dampening rollers, while the rollers 7, 8, 9 are color-leading rollers.
If the paper web 1, however, as shown in FIG. 2, is guided downward in the direction of the arrow, then rubber cylinder 2 rotates in the clock and plate cylinder 3 counterclockwise. The rollers 7 and 8 now act as dampening rollers, while roller 9 is replaced by roller 6, which was previously used on the opposite side of the inking unit. The rollers 4 and 5 now lead color, fed by the roller 10 over the roller 9, which was previously used on the other side of the inking unit.
Roller 10, as well as application roller 11 and all other rollers of the inking unit lead color in both directions of rotation. Roller 6 dips into the wiper fluid box 12, which is also swapped depending on the direction of rotation and which is the agent that dispenses the wiper fluid. From the ink fountain 13 the rollers of the inking unit are fed.
