Installation box There are already known installation boxes made of electrically insulating material using the injection molding process, in which connection and branch terminals and other connection elements are permanently arranged. In the case of installation boxes with a rectangular floor plan, these terminals or other connection elements are usually provided in their corners or in the vicinity thereof. Each such installation box is equipped with a certain number of connection elements.
If an installation box with a different number of clamps or other connection elements is required, this requires a different injection mold, d. H. high tool costs, or only some of the terminals or other connection elements present in the installation box are used, so that the rest are useless.
In addition, it is often desirable to be able to attach clamps and other connection elements at a particularly suitable location inside an installation box, which is not possible with the known installation boxes in which the connection elements are fixedly arranged. These disadvantages can be remedied by the inven tion.
The invention relates to an installation box with clamps and other connection elements arranged in it releasably, which is characterized in that at least its base is occupied with bearing points arranged in a distributed manner for inserting or placing the clamps and other connection elements.
Such an installation box, which can in particular also be designed as a flush-mounted installation box, can have any layout and the bearing points present in it can all be the same or different, according to the provided terminals and other connection elements. It is only equipped with the required terminals or other connection elements and these can be attached to the most favorable bearing points.
Another advantage of this installation box is that terminals or other connection elements can also be used after the installation box has been laid and that existing connection elements can be exchanged.
Such an installation box is expediently injection molded from electrically insulating material, e.g. B. polyvinyl chloride, polyethylene.
In FIGS. 1 and 2 of the drawing, two flush-mounted installation boxes are shown cut open in the diagram, without the associated cover, as exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention.
The flush-mounted installation box 1 shown in FIG. 1, produced by injection molding from electrically insulating material, has a rectangular plan with rounded corners and has an edge part 1a protruding on all sides at the top. This upper edge part 1a is reinforced in the corners and in these reinforcements 1b .sind, holes 2 are provided for the fastening screws for the cover, not shown in the drawing.
In the side walls of the installation box 1 are breakthroughs 3, which are reinforced on the outside by a flange 3a, provided, which stood in unused to be closed by a molded, thin, easily breakable membrane 3b.
The mem branes 3b of those openings 3, which are used in a given case for passing electrical conductors through, are broken out and in these opened openings 3 is the tube 4, in wel chem the electrical conductors not shown, inserted, whereupon these breakthroughs 3 by an elastic man cuff 5 encompassing the tube 4 in question with a conical outer surface, which is pressed from the outside into the flange 3a of the opening 3 in question, are sealed.
In the not used th breakthroughs 3, the membranes 3b are belas sen to prevent the penetration of cement or gypsum mortar into the installation box 1 when laying the same to ver. The installation box can optionally also have a round floor plan.
The bottom 1c of the installation box 1 shown is equipped with bearings arranged on or distributed on it for the detachable fastening of clamps or other connection elements. The number of these storage points can, according to the space conditions in the installation box, be different and these storage points can, as will be described below, be designed differently. An installation box can have bearing points, which are all designed the same, or it can have bearing points of different training, as shown in FIG.
The bearing points of a first type consist of an upwardly tapering base 6 which is cast on the base 1c of the installation box 1 and which has an upwardly open blind hole 6a, at the bottom of which a pilot hole 6b is provided for a fastening screw for a terminal or another connection element is. The base 6 can optionally also be prismatic or cylindrical, in which latter case its blind hole 6a can also have a round cross section. The blind hole 6a can optionally, as shown, widen towards its base so that a correspondingly trained, elastic lower part of a clamp or the like can snap into place.
The bearing points of a second type are designed in the same way, but the base 7 is not cast on above the base 1c, but below it and protrudes downwards.
The bearings of a third type consist of a base plate 8 cast on the bottom 1c of the installation box 1 and a base plate 8a seated on it, as is presented, prismatic or round base 8a, which has a pilot hole 8b for a fastening screw in its upper end.
The bearings of a fourth type consist of a base plate 9 cast on the floor 1c of the installation box 1, under which a base 9a is cast as reinforcement on the underside of the Bo dens 1c. As shown, a pilot hole 9b for a fastening screw or two or more such pilot holes can be provided in the base plate 9.
Finally, the bearing points can only consist of holes 10 provided in the bottom 1c of the installation box, with an edge bead 10a surrounding the hole 10 being suitably cast as reinforcement on the underside of the bottom 1.c.
If necessary, metallic sleeves with an internal thread into which the fastening screws can be screwed can be inserted into the pilot bores 6b, 7b, 8b or 9b.
The terminals and other connection elements for such an installation box are designed according to the bearing point, which is intended for them, so that they can be inserted into or placed on these bearing points and fastened by means of a fastening screw or fastening screws. The bearings, which are in the form of holes 10, 10a in the base 1c, make it possible to screw on a connection element from the underside of the base 1c.
The flush-mounted installation box shown in FIG. 2 is designed in the same way as the flush-mounted installation box according to FIG. 1, with the exception of its base and the bearing points provided on or on it.
The bottom 1c 'of this flush-mounted installation box is occupied with bearing points for releasably attaching clamps and other connection elements, which are designed as follows: A first type of bearing point consists of a bar 6 that is parallel to a side wall of the installation box and cast onto the base 1c' ', the cross-section of which has the shape of a rectangle or, as shown, an equilateral trapezoid in which a groove 6a' extending over its entire length is provided.
The feet of the clamps or other connection elements to be arranged on such a bearing point are inserted into the groove 6a 'of the beam 6' at the appropriate point and are screwed tightly into the groove 6a 'by means of a fastening screw inserted axially. A series of pilot bores 6b 'for these fastening screws is expediently provided at the bottom of the groove 6a'.
As shown, the groove 6a 'can widen towards its base so that appropriately designed, elastic feet of clamps or other connection elements can snap into them.
A second type of bearing point is designed in the same way, but the bar 7 'is cast on the underside of the base 1c' rather than on the top and the groove 7a penetrates the base 1c '. Here too, a row of pilot bores 7b 'for fastening screws is provided at the bottom of the groove 7a'.
The bearing points of a third type are formed by a relatively narrow, upright on a wider base plate 8 'cast on the bottom 1c' bar 8a ', on which accordingly fork-like feet of terminals or other connecting elements can be plugged. A number of pilot bores 8b 'for fastening screws is also expediently provided in the upper side of the beam 8a'.
Another type of bearing point consists of a narrow plate 9 'cast onto the floor ic', under which a co-rotating beam 9a 'is cast on the underside of the base 1c', serving for reinforcement. In the plate 9 'a number of pilot holes 9b' for fastening screws is also expediently provided, by means of which the connecting elements are screwed onto the plate 9 '.
The bearings 6, 6a 'or 7', 7a 'or 8', 8a 'or 9', 9a 'can extend from one side wall to the opposite side wall of the installation box or only over part of this distance, and they can each accommodate only one or two or more connection elements.
These bearing points 6 ', 6a', 7 ', 7a', 8 ', 8a' or 9 ', 9a' can, instead of straight as shown, also be designed as rings or parts of such, with .sie preferably concentric to Center of the bottom I c 'are arranged.
This embodiment of the installation box according to FIG. 2 can, as shown, have on or on its base 1c 'bearing points which are formed differently from or which bearings provided in or on it can all be of the same type.
Also with this installation box, next to or between the above-described bearing points, bearing points in the form of holes 10 ', which are surrounded by an edge bead 10a' cast on the underside of the base 1c ', can be provided.
